I actually find this rather strange and was surprised at the Kenyan episode. What could possibly hold a man's joystick in there that it will be impossible to be pulled out.

She's not bad and she's highly educated. Based on what i got from my little research, she's a graduate of the renowned New Jersey Institute of Technology.

WebmastersRe: Bloggers: Before You Try To Be Like Linda Ikeji... by Afam4eva(m): 6:11am On Nov 11, 2014
This is what i have been trying to tell people for a very long time. Don't think by copying Linda Ikeji or any popular blog out there, that it will automatically snowball your blog to even achieve 50% success. Lindaieji is popular not because she employed any special marketing gimmick. All she did was to setup her blog at a time when there were not lots of blog and she remained steadfast and of course, she's a good blogger too. I guess that's the fundamental to owning a blog. You must first be good at blogging.

EducationRe: Does Undergraduate Course Of Study Really Matter? by Afam4eva(m): 10:42am On Nov 07, 2014
A secondary school education is to people to different disciplines and it is assumed that after secondary school, people should have made up their mind on what field they want to make a career. By field i mean IT, Medicine etc. They mustn't have made up their mind whether they want to become programmers in specific. They should just have a background knowledge of the IT industry and then after their BSC they can now specialize in either streamlining their career path by doing a masters program or doing professional courses. But i think the situation in Nigeria is somewhat peculiar. It's an aberration for someone to just accept any course of study just because they want to gain admission. These are the people who go to school to study botany and find themselves working in a bank, not taking care of the plants in front of the bank but working at the counter. It is not only an aberration but also responsible for the standstill situation of most sectors in Nigeria.

Never knew there were proper beaches anywhere else other than Lagos. There's a beach we call Tourist beach in Port-hacourt, but it's nothing like what's in Lagos. But from the pictures, this Ibeno beach looks like a proper beach. They just need to tell Nigerians to stop wearing iro and Buba to the beach. Wear some freaking beach wear(bikini etal)

TV/MoviesRe: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Afam4eva(m): 6:22am On Oct 25, 2014
In the last few days, i watched:

Transformers - Age of Extinction
I, Frankenstein
Think Like a Man Too
Texas Chainsaw 3D

All of them are great movies. But Texas Chainsaw which despite being entertaining is cliche. I don't know when Horror movie producers will give us something new.

I also used to think it was Chinenye Ochuba but i was using the eyes of a younger me to look at her. Though i don't think it's Adaeze either. I would rate Bianca, Munachi and Omowunmi Akinnifesi above her. What Adaeze has going for her is her skin color just like in the case of that Flavour's girlfriend.

SportsRe: Okocha Annoying Hype by Afam4eva(m): 3:11pm On Oct 19, 2014
toecyne:
It is sometimes very annoying wen some people say Okocha is the best footballer ever, and that he is not recognized becos he is Nigerian.
Some even say he is better than Ronaldinho because he benched Ronaldinho wen dinho was only 20, and was yet to adapt to european football. Y not just say giggs is also better than C.Ronaldo because he benched him wen he was new in Man United or that Guily is better than Messi because he benched messi wen messi was still very young

Yaya toure is an african nd he is leading man city, Eto was Barcelona top striker for abt 4 years and a nigerian also played for barca in the 1990s, mikel(a nigerian) was nearly thorn apart by man u and chelsea, they wanted him badly.. my point is african/nigerian or not, you would be rewarded accordingly and sought after if you are that good. Okocha is jst over hyped
We have to put things in perspective. if what you mean by Okocha being overated has to do with him not winning personal and team laurels then you're right. But if you're talking of his ability then i say to your Mr, you don't know football. Okocha is one of the greatest footballer to grace the game of football.
SportsRe: Okocha Annoying Hype by Afam4eva(m): 3:08pm On Oct 19, 2014
Obi1kenobi:
Okocha was a good player, but was not amog the world's best. He won next to nothing and didn't distinguish himself at the highest levels of the game, and seemed more obsessed with showboating than making the right decisions. And no, irrespective of what "Pele said", Okocha is nowhere near the top 100 players. I liked Okocha. I think Nigeria currently lacks a playmaker of his technical ability who can put his foot on the ball and control the game. But he's overrated by Nigerians because he could pull off fancy tricks and flicks. There are many players like that playing in the domestic Brazilian and South American leagues. Modern era top class European influenced football needs morethan Okoch offered at the highest level.
Irrespective of what pele said but respective of what Obi1kenibi said. Who are we supposed to listen to? You or Pele?

Dude please spare me this condescending, anti-African POPPYCOCK. To you, everything African is the worst on earth. Why don't you kuku bleach yourself white and disappear to Australia or something? Rubbish. He even ranks Asian football above African soccer. '''Oh.. it's so easy to win the African cup''. Have you ever played football in your pampered life? Ajebutter coming here to talk garbage. I wonder if you rate your own competence at work poorly based on the fact that you are ''only a Nigerian '', and therefore, ''nowhere near the best''.
If i didn't know your default position in the delusion association of Africa, i would have taken you seriously. it's because of people like you that Africa is in the doldrums of progressive delusion. You see the a lie and call it the truth just because you want African to be seen from a myopic vantage point. When i'm talking about African football, i'm not just talking abut the coglomeration of talents but also aabout the administrative prowess and tactical discipline. I rate Asian football higher not because they have better players than African but because they have managed to put aa lot of things in order and these things are what will take African football far only if we can pause for a second and do the right things. It's not about Mikel Obi or Keshi but about the football setup in Nigeria. Imagine a football association that appoints Amodu Ahuaibu as coach in 2014. We're just not serious and you're lying to yourself.

Sorry I didn't get the moral of your story.

Probably you are saying a foreign coach would do better. Which foreign coach has done better than Keshi since after westerhof?
Which foreign coach has done fantastic job for an African side, at least get them across the quarter final in the world cup?

The truth is Nigeria just like other African nations do not have world class players. You can't get a world class result with average players. The results keshi is getting are the best anyone can get with players like ours.

Its not about changing the coach, it is about having the right skills.
I never said Foreign coaches are better. There are 3 types of coaches in the world. The Good, the Average and the bad and the distribution is usually determined by how consistent or inconsistent their teams perform. I have always advocated that if we must go for a foreign coach then we have to go for the best (Mourinho, Gius Hiddink, Arsene etc) and not the likes of Berti vogts and the likes else we should remain with the best coaches in Nigeria who are not exactly one of the best in the world but just good enough to help us fight fr the top spot in African football and probably winning a title but not necessarily retaining it.

Nigeria may not have world class players but that is not what determines modern day football. Spain and Brazil probaably have the best players in the world but were disgraced at the last world cup. Modern day football requires tactical and philosophical discipline and not the charade of conglomeration of the so-called world class players. If the assemblage of very good players is what makes a team then Cote-diviore should have been at the very top of world football because they have some of the best players in the world who ply their trade in some of the best clubs and leagues in the world.

You think beating the Ivorians was just luck. Beating Mali 4-0 was luck?

I wonder where you guys come up with things like this. You can have a lucky match, not a lucky tournament. Winning a tournament after 7 games is not luck.

I am impatient to see Victor Moses and Sone Aluko playing for the Super Eagles together.
How many of the 7 games did you win and convincingly too. Maybe it was not luck but we were probably not the best team at the tournament. There were better teams that we didn't meet. Even those we met at the earlier stage proved a hard nut to crack.
SportsRe: Do You Still Say Keshi Should Go ? by Afam4eva(m): 3:59am On Oct 16, 2014
Nigerian fans are probably the most emotionally driven fans in the world. They change their minds willy-nilly without doing some logical assessment on the subject matter. keshi has always been an above average coach which is a pass mark in my opinion but that does not make him a world class coach by any standard. His previous outing for several African countries were moderate but not fantastic. His greatest achievement was qualifying an African team for a world cup against other African teams, not European, South American or Asian teams. The truth is that African football is still in the dark ages and does not require any form of gargantuan coaching skills to win. In Africa, you can bulldoze your way into winning any competition and when you eventually play countries from other continents, your weaknesses starts to show. I shuddered at how Keshi's rankings increased after the world cup. Not that it's not normal for a coach who won a major competition to be praised but we did so without properly analyzing the idiosyncrasies of our outing and the technical depth inherent in the team. The truth is that we did not do anything fantastic at the nations cup. We were just an average team that was lucky. It's not like other teams were fantastic and we took them out. They were simply African teams. Our weaknesses were exposed at the confederations and world cup. So, the moral f the story is that you shouldn't wait until a team starts performing badly before evaluating the capabilities of the coach.

Did all clubs beat them home and away, yet they get awarded points for this?

I expect intelligent response from you people o and not this beer parlor rumour like say una be uneducated palm wine tapper talking about how the central bank works.
I'm specifically talking about that season when they stole the crown from rangers. There's no iota of doubt that Kano Pillars is a very good team and arguably the best at the moment and they deserve most of their wins thus far. I take nothing away from them. But is till want them to lose though.

Foreign AffairsRe: After 142 Years Of Dominance, China Overtakes U.S As World's Largest Economy by Afam4eva(m): 8:56am On Oct 12, 2014
Btw, what's the big deal in having the largest economy if it's not reflective of the citizens of that country. The US still has way higher standard of living than China and china will need to break a leg to displace the US in that very important category.

It doesn't matter how people see the US. What matters is the fact. US is the strongest politically and military. But starting from today, The US is living on past glory economically. China isn't waiting for them, They would continue to rise.
No, they're not. It's not like the US is doing badly economically but rather, China is simply coming up and it's only common sense that a country that big will one day have the largest economy. There's simply very little that the US can do about. It's not like the US did not in some way make their being overthroned sooner.
