Eze Promoe: [color=crimson]Infact I will say that we are the luckiest people in this Greater PH project.
Igwuruta is the gateway to many major destinations of the state, hence now all roads in Igwuruta is dualized.
Remember that Igwuruta connects Port-Harcourt with Airport, Etche with Port-Harcourt, Aba Road from Rumuokwurushi to Owerri Road via Airport road.
Another bigger roundabout is been sited at the present day market junction.

LMAO @ the man that was owing your father. My father goes through the same experience in the hands of his customers. Many Igwuruta men are prolific debtors grin

Igruita is a gateway indeed. I remember in the 90s when IBB as the head os state then passed through my abode Rumukrushi/Elimgbu when he was heading to the airport. I hope developments reaches Elimgbu.

On what platform is APC contesting? Was he at the debate?

Afam, you use to go off hook sometimes. How did you even qualify get this MOD job in the first place?

How can you say the guy does not have plan for Anambra. Judging from the debate Obiano floored Ngige. Did you watch it at all.

If there was any person that has a well thought out plan it is Obiano. Ngige is just playing to the gallery..
Can you please explain to us how Obiano floured Ngige? I've listened to both men talk and i think the former is your average politician who makes pronouncements like I will create jobs without telling us how he's gonna go about creating the jobs.

CFCfan: @Afam: I didnt suggest Asaba.Besides, the Onitsha fans will flock to Enugu.
Also, with Uyo hosting, I don't think Naija politics will favor Calabar hosting matches. The Uyo stadium will be the most beautiful in Nigeria upon completion next year. In fact, it may host a Nations Cup qualifying match late next year too; as Nigeria will begin her qualifying campaign in September.
I'm really anticipating to see what the Uyo stadium will look like upon completion. I guess it will become the defacto super eagles home when it's completed.
PoliticsRe: Anambra State Governorship Election Debate On STV on Oct 25th, 2013 by Afam4eva(m): 9:51pm On Oct 26, 2013
The way i see it, Obiano doesn't have a plan for Anambra. he just wants to get in and then try his luck. It can be seen in the way he answers question using evading tactics by only giving bland answers to questions. I inferred this when he answered questions on Twitter yesterday. As far as this debate goes judging from what i'm reading here, i think Ngige nicked it. But we know debates don't win elections in Nigeria as majority of the electorate are not even aware that a debate took place. What will determine the winner of this election is their popularity and that of their party. Ndi Anambra, unu jiri ire unu guo eze unu grin

CFCfan: Hmm.. Benin could be a good option, not sure if they are any quality 4-star or 5-star hotels there. Besides, the beauty of Uyo's Olympic stadium should make it the first choice in the SS. Warri has more fanatic fans than Benin too.
There's a lot of politics in the South-South, that's why i doubt Calabar would get it cos they don't have strong men in power like Akwa-Ibom or Edo. Yes, Warri has more fanatic fans than Benin and way more than Asaba that you suggested except it's the fans in Onitsha that will go and fill up the Asaba stadium. Also, Asaba doesn't have a world-class stadium. The stadium that was built in Asaba is a mini-stadium and not even as big as some other stadiums built in less important towns in Delta state.
SportsRe: Nigerian World Cup Venues by Afam4eva(m): 9:09pm On Oct 26, 2013
CFCfan: @Afam: the National should be pulled down because it's an absolute eyesore. The new football-specific arena could be jointly owned by LASG and a private firm.
At least, some jobs will be created in the process.
Why should it be pulled down if it can be renovated? if it gets pulled down and another one built, is there any guarantee that the new one won't get as bad as the present one? Pulling it down will be a waste of tax payers money. The stadium should be privatized imo. Lagos can also buy it if they want to but it's excess to requirement for Lagos state as they already have Teslim Balogun. I wished the Lagos government had located Teslim Balogun somewhere else instead of locating close to another stadium.

Slightly you say? Europe if far ahead of Africa.
SportsRe: Nigerian World Cup Venues by Afam4eva(m): 8:58pm On Oct 26, 2013
CFCfan: I would choose the following cities:
Lagos (duh), Uyo, Enugu, Abuja, Kano, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Jos, and Asaba.

Apart from Abuja stadium and Jos stadium, the others would need to be significantly upgraded to meet the 40,000 capacity minimum set by FIFA. Also, the Lagos national stadium could be demolished, and in it's place, a 60,000-70,000 football-specific arena can be built.
be rest assured that federal character will be honored just like they did at the under 17 competition hosted a few years back. The cities that will host matches include Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Port-hacourt/Calabar and maybe Kaduna.

Sorry, which Lagos stadium should be demolished? The National stadium or Teslim Balogun stadium? We don't have the luxury of demolishing any stadium in Nigeria.

You guys at Igruita are close to the airport and it seems your area is part of the New Port-hacourt city that Amaechi is building...I remember an Igruita man that owed my father money in the 90s and till date he hasn't paid.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Barcelona Vs Real Madrid : El Clasico (2 - 1) On 26th October 2013 by Afam4eva(m): 7:34pm On Oct 26, 2013
Like seriously, i've been asking myself why Madrid will waste that much for a player that's not even among the top 30 in the world. What exactly were they thinking. At the moment, no British player is worth more than 5 million pounds, so i'm surprised that they could spend that much for a Bale of all people.

Isn't it funny that people who are known for insulting the president, a man old enough to be their father have now suddenly become so concerned that i have insulted a senator

@topic
If this committee wants to show that they are sincere then there has to be no no-go areas. Everything must be discussed.

ndu_chucks: You people who equate National Conference to designing a blueprint for breaking up the country and others who believe that their views will not be entertained by the conference organizers.

Since you are desperate to entrap me, I'll let you know that I am not that shy by pointing out that 'You people' also includes closet seccessionists who lost the war and their wish for biafra; but now want to actualize biafra through the back door of national conference.
And who told you're i'm a Biafran apologists? I prefer a united Nigeria but we should not deny people of their bid to secede.

Who are "You people"?

Sloan: ^^ If you call someone like him an 1diot, what do you think you are?? Well, I just want a Western Region with the Yorubas and their brothers, sisters and cousins from related part of Nigeria. Let the eastern region go and make people like Odulah their aviation minister or president, while the West also run their Aviation and ports and everything about our lives while the northern regions also do the same. The day we have an all Western region is one day I will be so happy for Nigeria. It is the closest thing we can get to sovereign countries which might not happen! Let the real competition begin!
You have told us what you want. How about allowing other people to decide what they want. Do you want to force them to follow your school of thought? It's becoming clear that the organizers of this conference may not be totally be sincere.
PoliticsRe: National Confab: Why We Won’t Discuss Breaking Up Nigeria By Sen. Femi Okurounmu by Afam4eva(m):
This OKurunmi guy is not serious grin. How did he come to the conclusion that it's only fringe groups that are calling for Nigeria's dismembering and are these fringe groups not made up of Nigerians. I think this conference maybe bound to fail if there are no go areas.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Vs Stoke City (3 - 2) On 26th October 2013 by Afam4eva(m): 3:17pm On Oct 26, 2013
It seems Manchester is cursed this season. I hope they don't get relegated this season because the last time a Scot took over from another Scot in Manchester united which was in the 20s, Manchester was relegated. I hope history does not repeat itself.

Midastouch1: It is very unfortunate that a Mod has to act in such a manner.

An Ibo poster Sheniqua is all over this thread and yet none of her posts have been hidden neither has Afam taken any action to sanction her.

https://www.nairaland.com/1492999/four-arrested-beheading-5-year-old-boy/2#1492999.84

Any thread that Yorubas are winning the argument is swiftly truncated by Afam and he bans all the Yorubas and leaves the Ibo and their posts.

Shameful!
Have you reported those posts or you prefer to come here to whine about posts in a section where i don't moderate.
BusinessRe: Why Can't Jumia Offer Same-Day Delivery? by Afam4eva(m): 1:50pm On Oct 26, 2013
They must have weighed the possibility of delivering in 24 hours and probably don't think it's that plausible hence they chose to deliver in 5 days. I think it's better they tell you the truth as it is and c=you choose whether or not you wanna wait for 5 days than telling you a lie that they can't meet up with.
