I have signed it though i have some reservations and this is captured in his supposed apology that's on the frontpage. As much as i'm angry that Nigeria is associated with scam, i don't really think the guy spoke out of turn because that kind of scamming is called "Nigerian scam" and this term is used by different people all over the world and also used on websites. It's simply the kind of scam that originates from Nigeria and it's supposed to differentiate it from other kinds of scam. The people that should be really worried is the Nigerian scammers and not necessarily Nigerians in general. It's in the same vein that the term "Italian Mafia" is used and no one's head is being called for. |
I just watched an Ifeanyi Uba advert and it seems he's using something positive Peter Obi said about him in the past in his campaign video. Who does that? |
asha 80: he has a hotel in awka....though a doctor not having a medical outfit but a hotel in awka scratches one's head.If this is true then it's commendable for a start. |
re@lchange:You have a point but we have to strive to strike a balance. |
slimghost: Let me ask you.Lol From this list, the only thing he has done for Anambra is the building of a fence for a school and not the school itself. What has doing something in Lagos and Houston have to do with Anambra. He should go and become the governor of Lagos or the mayor of Houston. I guess we just have to manage the fact that he practically grew up in Anambra. That should be more than enough and like you said, he's not a money bag. I'm more concerned about people like Ifeanyi Uba who with all the money at their disposal haven't contributed anything of note in Anambra state. I'll also like to know what Ngige has done in Anambra. |
safarigirl: oh please! Uruguay got a lucky draw when they played CIV, they almost lost. New Zealand is the only team to exit the tournament without a goal, breaking the last record of longest consecutive minutes without scoring. We played tougher teams, our group was the best, even our 3rd place was the best of the lot.You may be right but any team that beats another team by that large margin should be taken seriously. |
slimghost: Tell me this is a joke oga! What he has done as an individual or an elected officer? What have u mikeansy done in the service of Anambra people? What do you expect an individual with a modest earning to do for the service of the whole Anambra state? What a joke! And for those questioning his presence, read this below:It's not about chieftaincy titles. Just about any person with deep pockets can get a chieftaincy title anywhere in Nigeria ;et alone in his own community. The question is, has he built a classroom in his community before or how many people has he empowered in his community and is that enough for him to want to contest the governorship election? Anyways, since you said, he practically grew up in Anambra state, that may give him an edge over other candidates but i'm miffed by the fact that people who have contributed little or nothing have the effrontery to wan to govern their state. |
I wish we were playing Afghanistan after Iran though ![]() |
CFCfan: If Nigeria defeats Iran, we'll play the winner of the Uruguay v Slovakia match.WTF! We'll definitely meet our match in Uruguay. |
ijaw citizen: In light of the bolded Igbo tradition, are Stella ODUAH-OGIEMWONYI & Dora AKUNYILI still Igbo women or Bini & Yoruba respectively?Akunyili is an Igbo surname and not Yoruba. Her husband is Igbo. The person you quoted stated that it's Igbo tradition to embrace women who are married into Igboland but it may not be the tradition of places where Igbo women have married into. |
This is obviously a propaganda. How low can people go? |
ZUBY77: She Should be at home in Enugu. That is where my mom lives. You are wrong. Lol My mum is not old oo. Some people even confuse her for my sister. |
I can't fit laugh. I pity anyone playing Man city right now. Chelsea will get r.aped and slaughtered. I no fit laughing. I shall not laughed ![]() |
Maybe you meant to say "5 Nigerians that cannot be caught being bribed". Isn't that what they said about Farcrook until we were told how he stuffed money in the babariga and his cap. There amy be men of integrity in this country but they're very few and it's not in your place to say who can and cannot be bribed. You're not their father. |
Good to hear that you're doing fine...Also good to hear that you'll be landing in Enugu all the way from London. |
deols: what is this?!!!So, you care more about the woman than the man who was cheated on? SMH |
This is sad! |
It's suicidal to live in the same compound as your landlord or landlady. I laugh when Nigerians say the government are suppressing the citizens of Nigeria, i laugh because, the ordinary citizens can be worse when they find themselves in a position no matter how small. I remember going to one of my friend's house and noticed they didn't have light and asked him why he couldn't get a generator and he said his landlord said no one should use a gen and he has a gen of his own and i'm like WTF? Never you move into a compound where the landlord also lives even if the agent tells you that the landlord is a nice person. |
ZUBY77: What is your mom still doing in Lagos?Where should she be? |
Acting more matured and being more matured are two different things. I think what you meant to say is that Ladies grow up faster than men and they tend to rich their peak faster than men. That's why they marry guys that are older than them. Most of my classmates in secondary school are married and if i didn't know them, upon seeing them, i would call them Aunty. I also find it funny that girls my age see me as younger than them and probably don't know i'm their age mates and that's because they act matured while i keep acting both matured and childish. |
omar22: Chimamanda is a book writer or Novelist! they are not celebrities like singers, athletes or movie stars please tone down the a$$-kissing. yes its her story that was turned into a movie but common calm down, breathe in breathe out and take a chill pill. Great achievement by the lady but she is not a Celeb. Is like calling Chinua Achebe and Wole Soyinka celebritiesI think the problem here is that you guys don't know what the term "celebrity" means. The like sof Achebe, Soyinka and Chimamanda are celebrities just like musicians and Actors. The fact that people don't faint when they meet these people does not denote that they're not celebrities. |
My Mum actually buys Abacha whenever she goes to Cele bus-stop area. |
Then every guy is a pvssy digger. What you say? |
asha 80: i hope you know soludo is likey to belong to this class? Most likely. It doesn't really matter. These people have to look home whether they're in public service or not. See Ifeanyi Uba for instance, how can he say he loves Anambra when most(if not all) his major investments are outside the state yet he wants to govern the same state. Let's not forget that Peter Obi, a sitting governor was alleged to have built a gargantuan mall in Abuja when he's busy gallivanting for other people to come and invest in the state. |
slimghost: And your point is?My point is that the likes of Obiano have no business getting into the government house in Awka cos he has no ties in the state and this is evident in his election registration in Lagos. He should contest to become the governor of Lagos where he has his life. If he loved Anambra so much, he should have moved their to contribute his own quota. People like him and most candidates in the forthcoming election are opportunist. |
I think it's high time Anambra and other South-Eastern states stopped electing people who either don't live in the state they want to govern or don't have any investment in that state. I don't like a situation whereby someone who has no connection to a state just that he's an indigene would be voted in as a governor. |
Pls, if you're not Ijebu, don't make noise here. We Ijebus want to discuss ![]() |
Pataki: Omo nna, gbenu sohun joor. Go and claim your Anambra state na. Abi na by force ni?Omo Ijebi le mi. Owo ati swagger ni won man fi mo awon Omo Ijebu. Ijebu for life. |
coogar: your dad would be disappointed you denied ebonyi state. afam, they are not sharing money yet, why deny your state of origin? is your second name peter? What are you doing in an Ijebu thread? Are you an Ijebusite? Pls respect we Ijebu cos we move things in Nigeria. |
speedyboi: How is this different from what I said in my first post?God Bless You ![]() |
