Which is closer to Aba? Oron or Ibeno? |
I've been no Airpeace about 6 times in the past month, going to and fro Owerri and each time, i'm never free of the thoughts of something going down. It's not about Airpeacebut about Nigerian airllines generally. I've always been scared of flights, but tend to be more relaxed on internatioal flights. On NIgerian, flights, i always pray for the 45 minutes to go quickly. |
HopeAtHand:There's nothing wrong in learning. I hadn't been to Egbema when this thread was opened and i assumed that the thread was referring to the entire ONELGA. Infact, i didnt even realize that there were different Igboid groups i the said ONELGA. So, what i stand to gain is to get better information because it ill be misleading to assume that Igbos are not being sold land in the entire local government. |
Divine200:They are bad cooks oly when you look at things from a Nigerian perpesctive. A lot of these people don't eat spicy food the way we do. They are minilam maggi, salt and pepper in their food. Their taste buds are used to it but ours have tasted too much of these spicies. |
Just to revise this topic, which group in ONElGA does not sell land to Igbo's because Egbema people who are located in this local government are unrepentant Igbo's and would sell land to Igbo's. |
And Tinubu liked this guy oo. I guess he didn't want to live under Tinubus shadow. |
dazmillion:This is a tough one. As far as i know, a plot of land in my village (Amechi-Uwani) just on the fronge of Enugu town goes for around 5 to 6 million. Now getting a plt of land inside town, let alone in a gated estate inside the town will likely not go for 8 million. I think Spyder88 will have a better idea. |
raumdeuter:You see why I said you need to be in Nigeria. Don't believe everything you read on Nairaland. Nairaland has a way of accentuating issues thereby making it look so bad whereas in reality, it's a negligible problem. Of anything the average Yoruba person will vote Atiku because of Obi. Very few people are aware of this tribalistic side of Obi that you speak of. |
raumdeuter:At the end of the day Peter Obi did it for Atiku in the south east. Nobody was going to vote for Atiku outside the SE because of Obi. You claim that Obi is a bigot but ignore all that has been said by Buhari who is your president. Like I said Obi is not really a factor apart from getting the SE votes which he did. Buhari would have irrespective of whether Ekweremadu was presented as VP or not. |
raumdeuter:I agree with all except your last paragraph. Whether Obo, Soludo or a running mate from the Northor SW, Buhari would have still won. |
raumdeuter:Keep liking him from Houston. Don't come back and feel the pulse. |
Based on the state results announced so far, it is evident that Buhari will be returned as Nigeria's president. He is currently leading Atiku with about 3.5 million votes. So, i tink it might be over for Atiku. Now to the reason why Atiku lost. I'm not going to start telling you how he lost because of the corruption rumours hanging over his head or because he's incompetent or whatever other people have expoused on. The real reason ATIKU lost is because of BUHARI. It's as simple as that. Buhari is so popular in the north that it will be difficult to defeat him. He defeated an incumbent Jonathan who had the state machinery to his favour, then who is Atiku? Some of us, for the sake of Atiku was banking on his contacts in the north which included Kwakwaso and the likes and hoped that o matter how bad he did in states like Kano, katsina and a few states in the core north, he should get at least 40% of the vote in these places. But it seems Buhari's popularity was too much for either him or his friends. He stands a better chance in 2023 but i think this is the end for him as far as becoming Nigeria's president is concerned. |
madridguy:That might be too small a portfolio for someone that transformed Akwa Ibom. But its better than nothing. |
Jatropha:I missed out on Niger. I'm using a spreadsheet which calculates automatically. |
