I don’t want them in the new Biafra. Simple.

Let them fight for their own future separately as we are fighting for ours.

I don’t hate them but I don’t like them either. I am just indifferent about them.
Whether in Biafra or in Nigeria, we shouldn't include them in our plans. They're a hateful bunch and would always fight for their interest above ours, so why can't we reciprocate.

Igbo parents didn’t teach most of their children to hate south south minorities but the opposite is true for south south children. So many of them were taught by their parents to hate igbos.

That’s why sometimes you see them write long articles about how they thought that igbos were bad people growing up but later realized that it’s not true. I have read different stories of south south people in my generation saying those things.

Our parents taught us to see them as our family. Their parent taught them to hate igbos.
In real life, i have seen more SS people yab nonsense about Igbo people than Hausa nd Yoruba people. It now makes me think who the enemies of Igbos actually are? I think they may be closer to home than we think.

This is my sentiments. Ndigbo should stay away from that nonsense. I can’t wait for my generation to take over leadership because I believe we are much wiser and bolder than so many so called elders.

Most of them are blind and timid.

Good job OP.
Igbos are more delusional than any group that i can think of in nigeria and this behavior is not limited to our leaders alone. Go aroung Nairaland, you'll see that anybody that mentions SS and SE in the same sentence are 99% of the time likely to be an Igbo person and not someone from SS.

My brother, it is in our nature to abhor injustice, the instinct is in us.let us continue to play big brother to our southern neigbbours , our independent mind is the propeller.
It seems to me that what you're playing is small brother because the people you are playing big brother to always get a better deal than yourself. Sort yourself out first before thinking about others. Why do you think the Yorubas are the least interested in southern Unity? it' because they are getting a better deal than other southerners. So, you don't expect them to cry for you. Cry your cry and leave others alone to cry theirs. There are enough cries to go around.

When Jonathan sack Yardua man and replaced him Raymond Ekpong non of you chant irridentist abeg keep your useless unity to yourself. PMB did not fall for your blackmail when Saraki removed card reader from the Electoral Bill neither did he fall for the DSS blackmail. If unah no like am single to the marines
If you had an ounce of sense, you'll realize that this is neither about Buhari or Jonathan and their appointments but about southern unity.

I support your notion. While igbos were being cheated and marginalized by buhari govt, our cries were waved aside by our southern brothers as cry of greedy lot. Now it has been extended to them, we should seat back and allow them sort themselves.

We are used to this kind of treatment. Until Nigerians are ready for true Nationalism , the fake one Nigeria mantra will remain a temporary glue. The earlier we scatter the better for us.

Useless country
Only if the average Igbo man can be half as smart as you are.

There's no part of this country that have been marginalized as much as the Igbos but every time we complain, we're called all sorts of names. But just because a simple DG of DSS was taken away from them, they're calling for a Southern Nigerian unity.

Let every region carry their cross. Our mumu don do.

There's no point belaboring on the fact that there's noo such thing as Southern Unity as it seems each component unit that makes up the south are fighting for their interest and don't care about anyone else. it seems to me that it's only the South-East/Igbo leaders are are always hell bent on attaching themselves to an inexistent southern unity. The only time the southern leaders actually speak with one voice is only if a situation affects either the SS or SW.

It's no news that Buhari is an irredeemable irredentist as succintly put by Donald Duke. So, what he did by passing over Seiyefa for the position it's not news to people who don't have their heads buried inside Buhari's exterior. My only problem is, would the southern leaders have spoken had it been an Igbo person that was passed over? I don't think so.

I think it's high time for Igbo leaders to wisen up and unbuckle themselves from a phantom Southern solidarity which is just a ploy to unite forces against a northern leader only when it affects anybody but the Igbos. Even more dubious is the romance between the SS and SE. The south-south has never supported the South-east in any capacity but always wanting support from the east when their man (Jonathan) is being oppressed or when they're been cheated out of a position.

Ndigbo, wise up and be counted.

Bet y should Bianca choose now to Go to the Senate, just afte Ifeanyi Ubah declared? grin

It is a major Dilemma and some people may not fell the Senate is suitable for Bianca and it would be better sending a man.

However, my heart is set on Bianca, i dont think we should disappoint her, becos she has never been a disappointment to us.
What is Ifeanyi Uba going to the senate to do? I don't think he's best suited for that position. I pity him too because he has invested so much and has never won an election but we need Bianca there instead. She's more seasoned politically than him and understands the intrigues.

Do you know the man smiling from the billboard on the left?
I don't know why Igbos, particularly pro Biafra peeps are so critical of Nnia Nwodo. I think he's the best president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo that we've had in a long time. The man stood to be counted during the Nnamdi Kanu days and did not sellout like a lot of people would want us to believe. He was just very strategic in the way he supported the struggle.

'Nnaji' is and still remains a bonafide Nkanu surname. How e take reach Mbaise baffles me. If we trace her ancestral roots, we may discover that her ancestors migrated from Nkanuland and settled in Mbaise.

Nnaji, like Nnamani are unique to Nkanuland.
Only Nnamani is unique to Nkanuland.

Asaba though an Igbo city but not Igbocentric. The Asagba of Asaba is pro Igbo but the youth of Asaba that are suppose to be breathing life into Asaba Igbo heritage are not interested, Igbo is not commonly spoken by the indigenes, even their old women love pidgin and their youths dont like communicating in Igbo.

Asaba is not an Igbocentric, the consciousness is not there.
What you just stated here is exactly why i asked the question. I've never lived in Asaba but i come across people from that axis a lot and even those who lived kost of their lives tend to be more Pro pidgin english than Igbo.

Very Igbocentric.
I ask because being the capital of Delta state there will be influx of people from all over Delta state incuding Urhobos/Isokos, Ijaws, Itsekiris etc. So, it might have a more cosmopolitan feel than a typical Igbo town.

Asaba is growing rapidly. My brother and I bought 2 plots of land there last year December close to the airport. We plan to build flats there. Spyder880 I will let you know once we are ready to develop the plot.

Also Asaba plots are generally bigger in measurements. They measure 100 by 100 while other plots measure 100 by 50.
How Igbocentric is Asaba? Does one hear Igbo being spoken like one would in Enugu or Awka?

My fear is that one day an idiotic baboon will become the governor of Enugu and ask that those trees be cut down. I dread that day.

The only important thing to note is that the Owerri you will meet next time you visit will be much more impressive. Not because of the efforts of the government but the will of the people to live in a developed region. I praise Igbos and their determination to leave a legacy for the younger generation, a legacy of self created decency borne out of education and exposure to better ways of doing things.

The government is not as important as we think, the collective will of the people is the paramount issue here.
I'm definitely not discounting the work that the people are putting in. I can see beautiful buildings and hotel dotting the landscape of Owerri but the government needs to do their own part which is by creating the enabling environment for businesses to thrive. I took a whole day to check out some hotels in Owerri and i realized that there were really some beautiful hotels in inner streets but no good access road to get to them The government needs to do better.

Let me not lie. The Owerri that i went to on 3 different occasions just 2 months ago was not impressive at all. I prefer the Owerri that i went to severally in 2015/2016. Now, it just seems like almost every road is bad and even the ones that used to be okay have been destroyed all in the name of reconstructing them. A case in point is Wetheral Road.

Why this hatred?.... How can you ever compare Soludo to Dr Maduka?. Please you need to go Las Vegas or UMUCHUKWU before any more comment.
Hmmm...this is one that i'm finding it difficult to decie one between Soludo and Dr Maduka. I also think Soludo is a sfe choice because hearing him talk, you will know that he understands the issues but he hasn't actually one anything tangible that we know of. Dr Maduka on the other hand, with his own money has done so much. Imagine what he would do with Anambra money when elected. But then Rochas also did a lot before he became governor, but what has he done as governor of imo state. These days don't turn out the way one might think sometimes.
