There's a freedom of religion which is already guaranteed as people are practicing their religions in the country without any form of noticeable molestation. However, what is not guaranteed is the attempt by some people to bring their religious etiquette to counter existing laws and modus operandi. |

1shortblackboy: its surprising cause i never heard of it before. its just unheard of for a bonny person to say he's not ijaw Wow |
Culture › Re: Can An Average Opobo Indigene Speak And Understand Ijaw? by Afam4eva(m): 6:43am On Dec 13, 2017 |
HarryDuce: Really . Personal experiences indeed. Why is it, that most of your experiences with any Ijaw related issue, tend to gear towards proving some Igbo link? Your story sounds fabricated anyway. So would you say Ibani is nonexistent? Imaginary? Who then speaks Ibani? They never denied speaking Ibani which they pronounced as Igbani. But they did not agree that it was some form of Ijaw language. 1shortblackboy: it is very common for young people in Port Harcourt not to speak their native language. u asked if they can speak ibani and they said no they might be telling the truth there. but if they said ibani is not an ijaw dialect then they're just ignorant or this story never happened The way they rejected the Ijaw link is exactly the same way an Ikwerre person will reject an Igbo link. I don't know why it's surprising to some of you. |
Culture › Re: Can An Average Opobo Indigene Speak And Understand Ijaw? by Afam4eva(m): 9:19pm On Dec 11, 2017 |
HarryDuce: Funny guy. Of course they dont speak ijaw. Why didnt you ask them if they speak ibani? That is the name of the language of bonny. Even if you ask a kalabari man whether or not he speaks ijaw, he'd deny it. And maybe you can guess why from here, maybe not. Stop trying to act smart 'cause you obviously are not. Actually, what i asked them is if they spoke Ibani and if it's similar or a dialect of Ijaw which they retorted an emphatic NO. Actually, i asked someone from Kalabari (i think) if he speaks Ijaw and he said yes. I have had divergent views particularly from the Ijoid people in Rivers state, specifically, the places within and outside port-hacourt. About being smart, i never claimed to be. I'm just sharing my personal experiences. |

maleeks: No it's different... Seizure has to do with brain. But going for scans to clear your doubt will be fine if you can afford it sire Permit me to ask. Are you a doctor? |
Health › Re: I Am Epileptic Please Help by Afam4eva(m): 8:44pm On Dec 11, 2017 |
maleeks: What you are having is "Seizures" which is simply symptoms of a brain problem. They happen because of sudden, abnormal electrical activity in the brain. In which a person's body shakes rapidly and uncontrollably. It is caused by a brain tumor @op it could be any type ranging from bi-frontal meningioma to others. It often start while you're sleeping and later if not taken care of can trigger while you not even sleeping/ / Solution/ you will have to go for both CT scan and MRI scan this will cost you almost a #100,000 then your neurologist can now know how big the tumor is and if you can be given medication( e.g. Phenytoin) to stabilize your condition or shrink the tumor. And also I f you will eventually undergo a brain surgery/ No big deal man. It has happened to someone so close to me and the surgery was done at the University college Hospital Ibadan and to God be the glory she's better now. The only problem is that bro..... you gon' spend som damn money man! Is it the same symptom someone gets from serious stress, where someone's body vibrates but only the person can feel it. |

If you depend on the information you read online from anonymus people, you'll remain ignorant.
I visited Port-hacourt and at the Hotel presidential i met two beautiful damsels while i was swimming and they were siblings from Bonny and i asked them if they spoke Ijaw and not only did they deny it, they kinda forbade it. But when i asked them if Igbo is spoken in Bonny, they happily accented in the affirmative. |
Culture › Are There Two Types Of Ikwerre? by Afam4eva(op): 5:24pm On Dec 11, 2017 |
I was in port-hacourt recently and spent about 2 weeks there and there's something i noticed. There's this Ikwerre woman that i heard sending an Ikwerre boy on an errand and i heard virtually everything she said and when i asked her ifit was Ikwerre she was speaking, she said YES. What i heard her speak was basically Igbo. Then i heard another Ikwerre guy talking with someone and i could barely hear 60% of what was been said.
So, i ask, are there different types of Ikwerre?

Politics › Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 5:18pm On Dec 10, 2017 |
Cjrane2: Good explanation. But this is exactly the problem. Saying you are waiting for prospective home owners to plant flowers and trees around their homes and along the street is simply saying it will never happen. People can't even sweep their streets and you expect them to plant flowers? I know this is a difficult concept for estate developers in the Southeast to grasp, but it is already the norm in places like Abuja where they professionally plant trees and flowers around each house and along the roads. They do proper finishing of the estate so when you come in there, you already know it's a decent environment.
If your homes are worth N15 million the way they are, people will argue because they don't see what it could become with adequate flowers etc. Now if you added N500,000 and used that cost to green up each street and each house with adequate flowers and trees, you immediately transform the environment and people will not even argue if you said the houses are worth N16 - N20 million. Believe me, people pay for neighborhoods they live in and not just the direct physical cost of cement, electrical fittings and iron rods used in the physical construction of the house. Which unfortunately is what many property companies are narrowly focused on. Don't even waste your strength. We're in a country where people's major concern is making money. Rarely do people do things for the love of it. Afterall, according to them, people who will live in those houses are not complaining. I think everything stems from the government. If the government puts such legislation to bare, everyone will have no option but to follow it. |
Politics › Re: AKTH Kano Not FMC Umuahia Recorded 1st Kidney Transplant In 9jah by Afam4eva(m): 3:33pm On Dec 10, 2017 |
kettykin: ok in that case it is actually st Nicholas and not even kano AKTH
A kidney transplant is surgery to place a healthy kidney into a person with kidney failure (end stage renal disease).History The first kidney transplants between living patients were undertaken in 1954 in Boston on December 23 at Brigham Hospital and performed by Joseph Murray, J. Hartwell Harrison, John P. Merrill and others. The first kidney transplantation in Nigeria was done at St. Nicholas Hospital in 2001.Symptoms of End Stage Renal Disease You are probably right. I have no issue on who performed it first. I was just trying to explain what the title entails. |
Politics › Re: AKTH Kano Not FMC Umuahia Recorded 1st Kidney Transplant In 9jah by Afam4eva(m): 3:17pm On Dec 10, 2017 |
kettykin: Anybody that's is Rich enough can fly in doctors and equipment and carry out these transplant in his bedroom and claim he did it first. So even at that kano might not have Even carried out the first transplant. But thank you for pointing out the obvious. The 1st transparent in Nigeria means that it was performed anywhere in Nigeria whether by Nigerians, lebanese, white people or goats. Who performed the transplant is a non issue. The grammar is simple to understand. Now, when you say, first Nigerian to perform a kidney transplant in Nigeria, that's a different thing entirely. |
Politics › Re: AKTH Kano Not FMC Umuahia Recorded 1st Kidney Transplant In 9jah by Afam4eva(m): 3:11pm On Dec 10, 2017 |
kettykin: If you read your post very well you would see that the kidney transplant of AKTH kano was supervised by 2 urologist from Britain while that of FMC Umuahia was done without any external support or supervision. Then it should read " First Kidney Transplant in Nigeria without foreign supervision". Whether it was supervised by rats or goats is a non issue. The first in Nigeria is the first in Nigeria. |

globemoney: Yoruba interpretation of being in opposition for 16 years is tinubu being in opposition for 16 years. The same people want to behave as if AD was not a one party state in south west. All Yoruba states except Lagos have been ruled by PDP states.?So much for being in opposition for 16 years Exactly my point. |

Politics › Re: Yorubas Were Not In The Opposition For 16 Years - Afam4eva by Afam4eva(op): 6:03pm On Dec 09, 2017 |
Shukuakukobambi: That means no tribe was ever in opposition and all tribes have always being in power one way or another so even marginalization cries become mute.
For the bold, we can say Tinubu and Lagos were the only ones in opposition No, it doesn't. There's a difference between not being an opposition and being marginalized. In every political setup, some people must be marginalized or feel marginalized. It may interest you to know that despite the fact that Igbos have been pro PDP since 1999, they've not gotten the same level of treatment that even non PDP states have gotten. So, marginalization can be tribal or religious as opposed to being partisan. |
