I concur! cheesy You are just one of the very few people making sense on this thread, today. If I were the guy, and I know my house isn't far, I will just switch off the ignition, wind down the windows and sit on the bonnet. Then I will stretch out my legs, relax and totally ignore her. There is nothing more annoying to a woman, than letting them feel they are talking to a brick wall. When she gets tired, she will come down... no be so? shocked
Maybe you missed the part where the driver said she was calling some people in Yoruba and giving them their location. Everything shouldn't be about tribalism for you. Reason.

Something is not right about the guys intentions either way, why dragging her and taking her to an unknown location ( possibly he felt Sebi na woman I go bundle am Comot for my moto a that's how a lot of Nigerian guys reason)

That place is lonely, who would want to come down there and what is the possibility that if she came down he wouldn't run after her and subdue her if he had the intention to rape since it seems to be his hood( trying to think what may be running through the girls mind)

The man may not have intention of rape but something is not just right he should have dropped her at the pick up point or just being a little patient till the other taxify comes would have cleared this.

Why dragging her and taking her to another location? That's where he's at fault.

Rape can happen anytime even in less dangerous situations ladies have been raped, so the lady may not be at fault for thinking along those lines.

We are used to harassment in this country no wonder people are not seeing anything wrong with him dragging her from the vehicle that's very wrong.

What if she didn't have pepper spray what would have happened, he was saying he would deal with her how?
He drove her to his house which was a stone throw from where he picked her up. He did so because she refused to come down from the car when he asked her. If you watched the video you would even see where he was calling his sister Chidimma to come and help him after she pepper sprayed him.

safarigirl:
see, I'm not stupid, I don't go about the streets alone at midnight.

So, you think they will not recreate the scenario in a court using the available information?

If I was the guy's lawyer, that is exactly how I would paint it. After all, you are narrating the situation in a way that suits Shola, so, what is wrong in someone else seeing it from the guy's perspective?

I pray you or your brother is falsely accused of rape like this guy has been, then we will see how quick you are to paint the guy as the villain.
I think the girl is at fault. She finally released the unmuted version of the video and it showed the guy struggling to open his eyes after he was pepper sprayed and he was calling his sister "Chidimma" to come and help him, so apparently he drove her to his house since she refused to come down from his car. He was also heard calling her s ritualist because she refused to tell him her destination and just told him to keep driving.

Except that the oil does not touch inside the egg. So, can it still be considered frying?

They aren't slums by US standards, more like regular neighborhoods in some suburban area somewhere, nothing out of the ordinary. But you are correct those areas are over-hyped and overly expensive beyond reason.
Regular American suburbs look better than what i see in those places. They are what America calls Ghetto it's just they may not be as dangerous.

Christianity EtcRe: "You Fornicate After Fasting And Prayer, Church Crusade" - Young Lady Says by Afam4eva(m): 5:33pm On Jan 22, 2018
She has a point.

These people will not miss any church program. From Shiloh to 30 nights of glory to Redemption camp to 40 days fasting and praying to Every vigil yet their lives as still as dirty as ever. Apart from engaging in unsavory behavior, they still go about perpetuating evil all over the place without remorse. Nigeria's brand of Christianity is evil.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Edo State Inland Port To Create 13,000 Jobs by Afam4eva(m): 4:28pm On Jan 22, 2018
They should add one more zero making it 130000. Nigerian government people can lie. Why didn't they choose 12700 instead of 13000 because that one would be more believable. Why must they always round it up to the nearest thousand or million.

smh

like i said too much tv. let me educate you, when you here people talk the projects they mean places like red hook , van dyke etc, these are ghetto projects yet they are far far better than you ikoyi towers and barbeach towers, with better facilities and such. Its the black population there and the black on black crime rates which are very high that make these places classified as slums, not that they are as dirty as surulere, ikorodu, victoris island etc.

Nigeria is a huge dirty, filthy slum with dirty streets, filthy cities, no health care system, no laws for women and children, no security etc.

Where do you start comparing Nigeria to USA? I grew up ingersoll projects and i can tell you a so called graduate who has a good job here is just living an average life.

What can you say is your security as a citizen? do you have a mortgage that assures you will own a home in say 20 years? can you get a decent car apart from the Knock off models KIA and Hyundau sell to you guys? for your information the Kia cerato and all model s you buy here are not the same they sell in America. take any Hyundai or Kia car brand new copy down the model number then go and look at the exact model number sold in america. you will weep!! what they sell to you guys are death traps called cars.\
Same with all brand new LG Products, take any tv model you buy brandnew here, go and look at the same model sold in America. this happens with lots of comoanies, why? because Nigeria is a dirty filthy dump
This has always been my point. The worse place is America is probably better than Nigeria's best. if you hear the way Nigerians mention places like VGC, Ikoyi, Banana Island, VI and the likes, you would think it's heaven on earth. By American standard, those places are slums. The only reason why places like the Bronx, Compton and south-side Chicago are called slums is because these places are dangerous and are filled with low income black and hispanic people.

What interests me most about Anambra is that development is very widespread. One would think that an Anambra person that wants to setup an hotel will go to Awka or Onitsha but mba, they will take it to their villages and build magnificent structures.

That was why i said earlier that the difference between 5 and 7star aren't much, that is why people could conveniently interchange the usage.
No, the difference is much. That's 2 stars ahead of a 5 star. These stars are not just what hotels choose to call themselves. There are bodies that actually determine which category a hotel belongs.

Ok. Your anger is because i called it 7star? As a hotelier the difference between 5star and 7star is not much. Use your Google for education.
Now let me surprise you, Buruj Al Arab in Dubai which is reputed as a 7-star hotel actually has a 5 star rating but they keep bandying the 7-star tag around because a lot f people feel that they are better than a regular 5 star hotel. So, unless this hotel is better than Buruj Al Arab, then it's a 4 star at best.

I am into hotels and facilities management so i know what i am talking about. Golden Tulip Agulu Lake is one. There are so many 5star hotels in Lagos. Are you saying that US does not have a better hotel than Dubai?
If you see a 5 star hotel, you will know let alone a 7 star hotel. Please, let's stop over estimating everything. if you had even said 5 star, i would have let it pass. But 7 star? Chineke Nna onye Onitsha biko mere anyi ebere.

Guys let's be frank, Ozubulu and Nnewi had merged, Oba, Nnobi, Awka etiti and Oraifite are about to merge with greater Nnewi metro area too. I'm not against this but this should be well managed bikonu.
Those in the know already know Ekwulobia, Oko, Isuofia, Amaokpala etc are increasingly merging too and this is our 4th largest metro area in this state.
The state government should please be proactive in providing necessary infrastructure or reduce the hot money flushing into the state like mad especially in the real estate economy.
We shouldn't forget the Okija, Azia, Uli, Ihiala axis as well already merging.
Our oil city of Anam and environs already merging with Onitsha too.

God knows what Anambra will look like in 10 years time.
I think it's nice that cities in Anambra are merging and i think the towns should be under the umbrella of the most popular. For example, the towns close to Nnewi should be under Nnewi while places like Oba and Obosi are officially under Onitsha. The way we can have bigger cities in Igbolandl.

PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 4:52pm On Jan 19, 2018
Nobody is saying these ideas are not lofty but there's no willingness on the part of government to show that they are actually serious and that it because we don't demand these things from them and they're not particularly bright anyways. The only time we will make a headway is when we put in the same energy we put into the whole IPOB debacle into an economic upheaval. All the Igbo governors need to start a movement and call it "Back to Igboland" or any name and this movement will be aimed at bringing back our best brains, wherever they are. This will bring in a lot of money and Igboland will become an attractive bride that everyone will want to identify with. Just take a look at what Donald Duke did in Calabar. Now, even people who are not from there actually go there every Christmas. Those are the kind of things that we should be aiming for. We have the capacity.
