Why did PREMIUM TIMES omit the fact that they listed Chief cleaner and Head of Cleaning, FAAN as appointments by Buhari. I've never seen a government that lies and when confronted, produces a much bigger like to defend he previous lie. I just hope that by the time this government is done, we will not be known as the Lying Republic of Nigeria. |

naptu2: It didn't have anything to do with religion. Like I said, many of them studied Latin and Classics and that's what inspired them. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classics Those names are actually Cathjolic names though the history f the ames may have come from elsewhere. That's why most people that bear them are most likely Igbo and Catholic or atleast one of them. |

bolakale30: God bless you sir. You have been helpful beyond measure. I have a B.A in English. I really want to leave this hell-hole, I recently applied for a Masters degree in English Literature in my alma matter. What are my chances of securing a gainful employment once I have the Masters degree? What category of visa would you advise I apply for? Those Nigerian degrees don't mean jackshit, whether BSC, MSC or PHD if you want to use to work in the US. Except you;re into the IT field for example where you may need to take a professional course alongside. |

Obi1kenobi: I don't have it. Those are the ones I could find. I remember despite the appointment of 2 or so military chiefs, INEC head, EFCC, Customs and a few others, GEJ's appointees were well overrun by Southerners, with Igbos particularly pre-eminent.
Since you so vehemently disagreed and definitively cast my claim as wrong earlier, you're also free to post 100 of his appointments and let's do the counting. I'm not saying you're wrong, but nothing stops you proving it. You made the claim that Jonathan was as bias, so it's your preogative to provide proof to that effect. Since you can't do that i'll try my best to compile a list sha. |

Obi1kenobi: These are some of GEJ's: Why are you showing me some? Show me all of them including all the ministers in Jonathan's cabinet and then we can compare with that of Buhari. |
Politics › Re: 81 Of Buhari's 100 Appointees Are Northerners (cut From Newspapers) by Afam4eva(m): 6:15am On Oct 30, 2017 |
Obi1kenobi: Buhari no doubt has a glaring Northern agenda, but let's face facts - if you looked at Jonathan's appointments as someone already posted, they were overwhelmingly dominated by the South. What I find galling is more the fact a good number of Buhari's appointees which he wasted over 6 months to vet and appoint seem incompetent. If appointments were made on merit, they'd resemble Jonathan's list more. You're wrong. Yes, Jonathan's government had more southerners than usual but there were still more northerners. The only reason why some people felt that Jonathan favoured the south more was because unlike previous administration, the numbers of people from the south increased such that the north did not have overwhelming dominance but they were still in the majority. Let's have the list of appointments made by Jonathan so that we can have a count. @topic It's no longer news that Buhari is an unrepentant tribalist and religious bigot, so it shouldn't surprise anyone. Shebi when Buhari was appointing Mohammed and Abubakar up and down initially, people said that he could only appoint people he could work with, who coincidentally were mostly northerners, |
