Science and religion compatible ![]() Anyone that tells you they are totally compatible needs brain surgery. |
Wow.. I'm kind of surprised. People arguing over bed time stories ![]() |
Believe me when I say: This would hit front page! Better book you front page space now! ![]() @topic SMH |
"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." -Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)Case closed... Hitler was a Christian, would be using this piece in case of a future argument. Nice job getting that mini-article @cold, it's so cool ![]() |
Blackeard: Don't worry...somebody is prolly somewhere, thinking about u, trying to crush u ._.I see what you did there ![]() |
I've always wanted someone to crush on me too ![]() |
olu_kenzo :Nah.. This is more like apple and apple. |
Some day in that same Saudi Arabia, the liberals shall rise up in great number and fight for their rights! |
I'm beginning to hate Islam with a passion! These Muslims think the are above everyone else. If they are a minority in a particular nation, they'll cry foul for any little offense... If they are the majority, they'll make sure the oppress your views and make laws against your views, they can even kill you for it(like in this case and many others). Piss!!! ![]() |
olu_kenzo :If you're a Christian consider this scenario, Christianity becomes an offence in Nigeria, would drop it ![]() If you're a Muslim, ask your self the same question. |
seemylife: Lol..., I like this guy, AfroBasic! I still maintain tho...,please stick to what is written and not to where your inductive reasoning is leading you.Okay!.. Got ya! Even without addition, what is written is still twisted with lots of gorges, loopholes and... ! As said before, I'm busy, so have a great Christmas Eve and Christmas, same to all on this thread. ![]() |
shdemidemi: I have no idea of what you are talking about, all I know is God wouldn't tell you to kill anyone on his behalf [b]today[\b]. He is more than able to fight His battles. And not before? Like a Möbius strip this conversation goes Back and forth without reaching a consensus. I'm kinda busy now... Some other time... Till then, have a merry Christmas. And for the third time, No!, Jesus isn't the reason for the season, it's more of a tradition to celebrate Christmas. *thinking to myself I guess that's why people call it x-mas *shrugs** |
shdemidemi: I don't find people complaining about what Allah did for or to his people..that's quite new to me I must admit. Please tell us what Allah did that we complain about. What of all the sura's that fellow Christians like yourself post on this board portraying Allah as a blood thirsty god?? Don't tell me you've never seen such. And No again, I'm not a Muslim, not even close! |
seemylife: I am not God's lawyer, ask Him to appear at a tribunal and levy the charges against Him.Well if you read my post well again, you'll realize I didn't add it to the 'scriptural' quote. The "so he would have an excuse to satisfy his blood thirst.'' was part of my own rebuttal implied from the fact that there was no need for heart hardening ![]() |
shdemidemi: I believe someone said something about dispensations, please try go through the first page of the thread again. If God decides to wash out a whole country today, He would. He does not need you or me to fight any battle for Him, so comparing what men do in the name of their 'Allah' to what we are telling you holds no water.Sir, to say I predicted your response is an understatement. Lol, could it be a miracle? ![]() And No, I wasn't referring to what men do for Allah, I was referring to what the Quran itself claims Allah did for his people. |
seemylife: Lol..., so you do understand what contextual meaning is? Yet you twist the bible to suit your argument. SMHSmh... Typical Christian argument always claiming "They twist scriptures". The issue here isn't twisting of scriptures but the convoluted nature of your god Please tell us how you justify those actions in Rude's opening. |
Mark Miwerds: who said the firstborn were innocent?Oh? So new borns aren't innocent? Is that what you're trying to say ![]() |
shdemidemi: He did that to take the glory, if pharaoh had let the people go easily they probably wouldn't celebrate and praise their God as much as they did after Egypt and their captives were destroyed. If I'm right, this was Rude's main argument... Shedding of innocence just to take the glory. Why then do you complain when other gods eg Allah, shed blood just to take the glory? |
seemylife: Are your submissions about gaining POINTS? If it is ... good luck to you then.Smh.. I can see you're either a troll or you don't understand the meaning of a 'point' in regard to a discussion. Point in the context used means "the essential element of what is being discussed" So I say again You've got no point. |
seemylife: I added that to your list of questions since you can think logically and know what I do not know...Weren't you referring to pharaoh as the oppressor? And the isrealites as the opperessed? If you were, you have no point. |
seemylife: Why would the oppressor kill all the male babies of the oppressed?Answering a question with a question ![]() Your question(answer) still doesn't answer the question. "Why would any 'savior' harden the heart of the oppressor?" |
PS: mods, this is front page material! |
With this invention, natural crude oil prices would fall drastically... Thanks Science! |
seemylife: Yes, God hardened Pharaoh's heart we all know that because it is recorded in the bible I read...That was in reply to this: The judgment passed upon Egypt was a result of Pharaoh's decree that the firstborn of Israel would be killed. God's people were in bondage. He had given Pharaoh multiple chances to simply say, "Go, take your people and worship your God." But Pharaoh hardened his heart against God.Why would any 'savior' harden the heart of the oppressor? And later kill all their 1st born? |
Sometimes I can't help but wonder why we even debate on stuffs like these. Apart from the inconsistencies and convoluted stories in the bible, there is no archeological evidence for these stories written in the bible. For example, the exodus talks of a great migration of over half a million people in the wilderness for over 40yrs, one would expect to find lots of evidence for such a great migration, but as with 90% of the stories in the bible and Quran, the only place to find such evidence is in the book or on their respective apologist websites. |
Mark Miwerds: The judgment passed upon Egypt was a result of Pharaoh's decree that the firstborn of Israel would be killed. God's people were in bondage. He had given Pharaoh multiple chances to simply say, "Go, take your people and worship your God." But Pharaoh hardened his heart against God. 'On the contrary, god harden pharaoh's heart so he would have an excuse to satisfy his blood thirst. Exodus 9:12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses. |
russianmob27: RIP Mr Kalashnikov, the great inventor, wanted to invent better tractors to improve his farm land but had to change it to Avtomat Kalashnikov in order the protect his territory from the nazis, you are forever a hero not only for the russians but for the world for giving your soldiers the ability to tackle Hitler, i wonder if Adolf conquered russia, he could have faced the blacks and jehovah witnesses...Err.. The Ak47 was invented AFTER ww2 |
kambo: [b]it seems all wrld religions fall into a) apostate christianity b)true christianity c)non christianitySeen some of your post, you come across as a quasi-intellectual dude. The kind of logic you use can be likened onto a Laplace transform(one sided). For example, in the emboldened, you use your religion(Christianity) as the base point for analysing other religions. Like WTF!!!, think outside the box!. Speaking of boxes(cubes) an analogy comes to mind, what you just said is like saying a cube is better than any other 3D shape because: - it has four corners. - all sides are equal. you shouldn't use the properties of a cube to categorize all other 3D shapes. |
castielo: Ok, so what's your purpose of asking diz question? when u finally get the 'answer' you want what's gonna happen next? ..If you had read the post, you'ld have known that The Op is actually a struggling christian. your attempt at answering the op: FAIL. @Op, nice post, just a matter of time before you see fully the fraud those religions are. |
Two mods are MIA. What happened? |
Bookmarked. For future reference |
Wow.. You beat me to creating this topic ![]() emk4lif: Waiting for that 'eureka' moment when the mars rover finds a fossil or very strong microbial evidence of life on that planet, strongly believe life must have existed in some form sometime in the past on mars...would probably be the scientific discovery of the centuryI'm also waiting for that Eureka moment, I think it might be next year or maybe this December. Such a discovery would Change almost everything |
