he played just one EPL game. we had a clean sheet in that game and he had a 6.96 rating (better than evra), so he was not exactly woeful

his other match was in the capital one cup where he came on in the 90th minute and still grabbed a goal, he was not woeful there either.

play RBs in the RB position first and lets see if they are good enough. if a certain one leg wonder cant make it at RW ship him out!

and there is a very simple reason why valencia is equally useless as an overlapping RB , i will tell you if u ask nicely

I agree with you the jury is still out on fabio. I am not sure about his form and fitness but i believe he should get a chance at RB ahead of valencia who is defensively clueless.

I said the jury was out on fabio, well for Valencia the verdict is in.......GUILTY by virtue of one-leggedness and predictability!
If u check back on these pages u will see that i predicted this about 2-3yrs ago, you can't be this predictable and one legged at the top level.

As per Nani i would prefer him going forward to valencia especially if we get a couple of dynamic and intelligent midfielders like vidal, strootman, gundogan etc.
our wide men would then be chosen for there ability to beat their man and create chances e.g adnan,nani rather than their willingness to track back e.g valencia

De Rossi is a class player and would have been perfect but for his age.

ASININE YOUNG should play from the right. On that side he tends to be less predictable ( either going to the byline and crossing with his right or coming infield to link up), on the left he is usually clueless and resorts to useless in swingers.

if we break it down to facts & figures, you would lose. like i told you earlier, berbatov did not play a large chunk of the so-called big games. the accusation of him being a flat track bully is utterly misplaced....

by your logic, (chelsea + city + arsenal) were the top teams in 2010/11. berbatov started only 1 game out of the 6 league games available to him against these top teams. in raw stats, berbatov played only 128 league minutes in 540 mins against top teams in the season he was the top scorer in england.

against the bottom sides(blackpool + birmingham + west ham), berbatov started 5 out of the 6 league games available - in raw stats, dimitar copped 450 mins out of the 540 league minutes available. he scored 8 league goals against these teams but that was because he was in the starting line up 5 times against them.

my deductive reasoning tells me, for a striker to score goals in any game(tough or easy fixture), he must be played first & foremost. this is why people like you should stay away from interpreting statistics. it requires an astronomical level of intelligence quotient.

similarly, in 11/12....(city + arsenal + spurs) were the top teams in the premier league according to your logic. berbatov did not even kick a ball against any of these teams. that's 0 minutes in the 540 league minutes available. surely, only a disillusioned & a deluded fan like yourself would expect him to score like his counterparts while his bütt was planted on the bench by SAF.



the fact remains - berbatov plays an atrocious low number of minutes against top teams than his peers in the premier league. only a complete tool would then expect berbatov to match the scoring records of rooney, RVP, suarez, etc when statistics showed he copped only 128 minutes in 1080 league minutes(12% match-minute appearance) available to him against top sides in 10/11 & 11/12.

Berbatov is a flat track bully. His record with Spurs where he played more minutes support this fact. In Europe most of his goals are against Eastern European teams that still use monkey post and use charcoal to write on their score board

Suarez scored 6 goals against the top 6 teams last season. He scored 4 goals(17 % of all his goals) against the top 4 teams in the league that season
He scored against all the teams above Liverpool except United.

When you consider that Berbatov scored ONLY 6 goals ( IN SEVEN SEASONS) against a team good enough to finish in the top 4 and Suarez has scored a top 4 team the same 6 goals in 3 seasons then you can decide for yourself who is flat track

meanwhile last season Suarez scored against Man City, Everton, Chlesea(twice) , Arsenal, Spurs.......not sure u can call him flat track

That Berbatov argument was a nice one but its done and dusted.
We were able to CONCLUSIVELY prove that Berbatov is the Bill Sykes of flat track bullies. It is hard to find another top striker who scores such an inordinate percentage of his goals against relegation bound teams.
Its too early to classify Suarez, but i must say those stats if true are not looking good. However Berbatov's stats were over multiple seasons so lets see Suarez' stats over 2 ,3 seasons then we can talk.

welbeck has 17 league goals in 78 matches for United. We all know he has to improve on his finishing but please remember he frequently plays on the wing.
When one considers that Torres has the same 17 league goals in 95 matches for Chelsea as their main striker one should just count small blessings

welbeck's 8 goals in 20 matches is pretty decent for a man who rarely plays as the main striker
