Coogar can u see an example of hernandez straying offside way too early, he made it difficult for nani to pass to him

A-40:
Either you send off both or send off neither! Both players were guilty of fouls. The ref overreacted in my eyes anyway

Plus your goal was marginally offside so hey
LOL
i believe dembele played terry onside though

chrisley024: Haha! I laff for Young. Even bench?
Coogar where is ur boy?
bone thug for harmony and leave matter for matthias, last week i said young had probably sealed his fate with his rubbish displays of late.
he will b lucky to start any matches from now on. we have nani, valencia, adnan and even zaha plus kagawa somtimes on the flank.........no space for asinine young.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 2:48pm On Sep 28, 2013
montelik: You can't please some pple no matter what. So Moyes rested Rafa who only just returned from injury and he is a tool. This is the same Rafael who has a tendency to re-injure himself, immediately he returns from a lengthy layoff. Yet Moyes is a tool.
true talk.
if RVP and Rafael r not fully fit no need to risk them.
the line up put out is good enough to beat West brom at home.if things go awry it wont b cos of d line up, but with nani, rooney and kagawa behind chicharito i think we should expect the 3 points.
only question i have is anderson's fitness level
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 2:46pm On Sep 28, 2013
the line up is not that bad, good enough to beat west brom in my opinion.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 2:41pm On Sep 28, 2013
naaa nani was good i give you that, but made us forget ronaldo? not that good.
and IMO Valencia was always going to be limited by his lack of a left leg, unless you are maradona or messi you must be able to use ur weaker foot when push comes to shove
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by afrodoc(m): 2:38pm On Sep 28, 2013

Stefan01: Rafael ahead of Fabio is kul... He needs more games anyway. Cleverley was great against City but he go injured in in training and he z not fully fit yet so i wont risk him. I would av loved to add Rooney to the squad but he z played 4 times in the last 12 days. So he got to rest. I put Ando in the team to give him game time... Believe me, av been looking at that midfield and am nt satisfied with it. I think Carrick or Fellaine will make it look more compact.
ohh didnt know cleverley was injured in training again.if thats true i would give carrick and anderson partnership a try for this match, fellaini on the bench.
anderson has quality but he isnt consistent and he is FAT! he is so fat his jersey could double as his duvet.
P.S and he is too one-legged too (he is d mirror image of valencia)
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 5:17am On Sep 28, 2013
ur defence is not bad but i would play rafael ahead of fabio.
your midfield of jones and anderson is not good enough.
and i would play rooney here and rest him midweek cos make no mistake about it this home EPL 3 points is more important than d away champs league match.we dare not drop more points behind our EPL rivals at this stage.
cleverley played 30 great minutes against City,he can give us 60 minutes to start this match
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 2:55am On Sep 28, 2013
start chicharito, keep RVP on the bench only to come on if absolutely necessary.
start rooney and then rest him in the champs league midweek.

............................ de gea

rafael....... smalling................vidic.......evra

..........carrick............cleverley..........

valencia........... .rooney.......................nani

............................ Chicharito

we can play rio and evans in europe midweek.its time to break up the old man combo at the back.those 2(rio and vida) at the back are too one paced to play together esp in big games.
for now i believe our 1st choice CB partnership for the near future should be vidic and evans with smalling and jones knocking on the door......rio should leave at the end of this season before he becomes a laurent blanc.

SailorXY: We are saying the same thing, difference is you said it in German & I said it in Spanish cheesy
I was already reading bashing about how "clueless & over-the-place" Jones, Giggs & Smalling were. I had to wonder if it the same game I saw as well or a replay from 2008 or so undecided
lol funny thing i understand Spanish better than that guttural German that Dayo and A-40 yarn grin.
they were not clueless or all over the place.most just lacked sharpness due to over benching things nd dey got better as d match progressed.
however smalling gave d ball away abt 3 times in very bad areas,he needs to cut that out and be more comfortable on d ball(he is not playing for Bolton or West Ham)
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 11:38pm On Sep 25, 2013
jones was untidy in play at times but he had 6 interceptions, 5 clearances, 85% pass accuracy, 100% long ball accuracy.and he covered lots of ground.
not bad for a makeshift DM
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 11:23pm On Sep 25, 2013
SailorXY: Thank God someone else has noticed that Hernandez game is improving to add to his killer instincts, some people go come here dey say he cannot cope with "the magnitude of the games cuz he offers nothing than scoring that's why Welbeck is .... bla bla bla". I swear, the only time Welbeck should play as CF is when van Persi, Rooney & Hernandez are injured @ THE SaMe TiMe or I go shoot person pikin gun for toes grin grin grin
Jones did a very good job as far as I'm concerned, he got in the way, threw himself into challenges & was generally tidy in possession. He was the more reason L'poo couldn't dominate for long spells in the game... Remember he was alongside a 40-year old #who played very well HoHa but can only be used once in a month tho cheesy# so naturally all the closing down was his to do
Kagawa & Hernandez were not happy @ being substituted & I don't blame them. They were beginning to enjoy themselves even tho they didn't start very well. #match rustiness
I was impressed with the defense to an extent. Rafael & Smalling did really well, he blocked many shots on goal & had about 5 headed clearances..(Pls Mr. Coogar if you can help with his stats) those wey dey yab Smalling I wonder which match una watch o. Smalling's only mistake was the loose pass on the edge of the box from which Henderson failed to utilize
Nani need game time & I don't see why Young & Valencia should be ahead of him, despite not being 100% he had more attempt on goal than Young & Valencia has mustered throughout this season undecided
smalling defended well esp in last ditch situations. however he passed and headed the ball to the opposition in some crucial areas, mistakes which would not go unpunished against better sides. remember that this current United side isnt the free scoring type that can score 4-5 goals easily. we cant afford to gift opponents goals again.......no more 5-2,6-2 its 1-0 ,2-0 at least for now.

did ok but he tends to over elaborate his moves and he has to cut out his fancy rubbish in crucial areas of the pitch

Both guys were getting into the flow of the game!
cant explain it. now we are playing without a centre forward

montelik: With Hernandez upfront we are going to need to be a bit quicker in getting the ball forward and more direct to create chances.
true talk.
maybe midway through the 2nd half we could bring on zaha and adnan for nani and kagawa.poor boys cant last the 90minutes
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 8:31pm On Sep 25, 2013
Nani obviously not fully fit yet.
That might explain DM reluctance to use him regularly
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 8:15pm On Sep 25, 2013
kagawa playing rubbish so far.
losing the ball all over the place. hope he improves as d match progresses
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 12:22am On Sep 23, 2013
This particular result is not good but the real issue is WILL THERE BE A REACTION?
if we don't win midweek handsomely and our next 4 or 5 matches then i would be convinced Moyes is out of his depth
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 11:14pm On Sep 22, 2013
coogar: don't pay attention to figures necessarily unless you know which area of the pitch those passes were made.

in that first half, young was the only one trying to force the issue unlike welbeck whose passing were near the half-way line. rooney was even worse and valencia kept it along the touch line instead of veering towards city's goal.
asinine young

ZERO KEY PASSES

ZERO THROUGH BALLS

ZERO LONG BALL

ZERO ACCURATE CROSSES

ZERO SHOT ON TARGET

ZERO DRIBBLES

WHAT ISSUE EXACTLY WAS HE TRYING TO FORCE? cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 11:09pm On Sep 22, 2013
Ashley Young 2 crosses 0 accurate cross 0 long ball of course 0 accurate long ball 0 total through ball 0 accurate through ball.

his stat sheet reads like a binary code cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 10:55pm On Sep 22, 2013
coogar: no 2 seasons are the same....
ruudie is quite right. if we batter the smaller teams home & away like we have done swansea & palace then we would replicate 08/09 season.

the mini-league hardly matters anymore - if we can beat the minnows then we should be fine. like i said earlier, the next 5 games should be comfortable for us. let's see where we get by the time we face arsenal.

this is my problem with statements like this one. i could score 80 marks in JAMB and be the best performer in my village. the question is how did rooney fare in comparison to aguero & negredo? they don't make as much as rooney but you could see the gulf in class between the city strikers and rooney. you know it's over for rooney when ordinary nasri outperformed rooney:

young did not perform worse or less than expected. i expected him to get the ball from wide areas, work the angles with evra & deliver crosses into the box. all the time this happened, there was no united shirt in the box to aim at. all i saw was rooney running out of the box towards the ball instead of making himself available to receive crosses & push kompany & nastastic back towards city's net.

rooney isn't messi but he gets paid like messi. so why shouldn't we compare them? if saint obi gets paid like brad pitt, would you not expect excellent acting performance from him?
Young was abysmal going forward. i have already posted his passing stats going forward and compared to our other attacking players.

Asinine Young ended the match with 60 percent passing accuracy ( 62 percent in 1st half)
welbeck had 93%, Valencia had 84% and Rooney had 74 %. with players like asinine young who keep giving the ball away to the opponents who needs enemies?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 10:34pm On Sep 22, 2013
coogar: reina simply waited for him to kick before diving. i dunno why no one figured this out yet. cech didn't move for cristiano in moscow too and he saved ronaldo's kick easily.

the truth is finally out....
young worked the spaces left today. when he got the ball from the wide, he had nothing to aim at. this is why rooney leading the line worries me. he's never in the box to be the attack focus and he makes zero movements.

valencia is a toad!
the less said about him, the better. he didn't beat kolarov throughout the match. all he did was to escort him to get the cross to aguero's first goal. look at this & tell me one reason valencia stopped tracking his man....

https://i.minus.com/i4yRc342D35JS.gif

apologies for singling out the highest wage drawer in our team for a disgraceful performance. to whom much is given, i expect heaven & earth. why won't i single rooney out? rooney even lacked the tact to stand off kompany and leave a gaping hole in city's defence. messi was only 22 when he did the same against rio/vidic in the 2009 final in rome.
Rooney is highest paid and he was our best performer on the day,so there should be no problem.
I assume Asinine Young gets paid too even if its a plate of ewa agoyin....so why does he perform like he is working for free? ditto valencia and carrick and rio today.is any of them working pro bono?
Rooney is not Messi, nobody is.there are very few people in the history of the Hominidae who are as accomplished at what they do as Messi is.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 10:07pm On Sep 22, 2013
superstar1: Young made himself the easy target due to perpetual mediocre performance. If he had given us a virtuoso performance today, he would definitely have been exempted from the tirades against the whole team.
EXACTLY.

chronic perpetual olodoism
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 10:03pm On Sep 22, 2013
Young was very poor today but so were many other players on the pitch. I would rate Valencia worse because of his direct contribution to the goal that started the onslaught,at least Young kept his defensive shape most times. However the chronic nature of Young's malaise is why most United fans are tired of him.

@Coogar it was not objective of you to single out Rooney (the only one who seemed to care about the match) for criticism when it was a team wide problem.Valencia,Carrick,Fellaini etc were having major problems competing yet you singled out Rooney.......just the way others singled out Young
