my question to you is, what is the importance or non-importance of locating a nigerian satellite gateway or beam or submarine cable in south africa ?

the other gateways are according to your source, located in nigeria, italy, and china....so that k.ills your argument that only south africa can be a gateway in africa because american NASA built an observatory or server base or whatever base there, nigeria too has a gateway in africa !

listen up dude, we dont find any proof that says south africa currently hosts any gateway fro nigerian satellites, all sources are old and from several years ago, all say one of the four gateways is 'said to be' NOT 'confirmed to be' located there, what if that changed eventually when the satellites were finally launched ?

no source tells us what really and truly happened about the gateway's locations.

nigeria has 3 satellites in orbit, and about 100 nigerian military officers many with PhD and MSc degrees sit down to work permanently in the control room of nigeria's satellite command/control centre, now that is military value.

nigerian army has used our satellites for combat and reconnaissance purposes against Boko Haram fighters, Mali rebels, battlefield operations in Sudan, and etc. the first Boko Haram anti-aircraft gun was detected by nigerian satellites and we sent our air force to strike.

nigeria used its satellite to spy on the American airport in the photo below, now that is excellent military value...get it ?

Nigeria is NOT what other countries think we are, people look at us a below average black nation, i can tell you that Nigeria is equal to many South American and East European countries in capacity and development, I have traveled to some of these overseas nations and their level of domestic technological manufacturing capacity is NOT better than nigeria, they too have their countries full and over-filled with products imported from China because they lack home grown industrial technology.....and they have slums too.

It seems you dont know that a telecoms satellite is very different from earth observation satellites, i said for telecommunications satellites yes, but for earth observation satellites that do photography and imagery of locations, no need for i gateway i guess.

i have reliable information from a south sudanese citizen who informed me in a closed door meeting a few weeks ago that he just returned to the U.S. from home and that the current president is massively looting the nations oil wealth.

gateways for satellite telecoms will work like GSM base stations that are spread over a city to transfer/connect/forward signals/messages from source point to final destination point.

could be used for telecommunication satellites, but would not be needed for earth observation satellites that just take pictures of locations.

i dont know any source that says nigeria has satellite gateways in south africa, it may just be a story south africans cook up because we have embarrassed them with the fact that they dont have any satellite
