Celebrities / Re: Video Of When Wizkid Was Introduced To EME by agbola(m): 3:43pm On Feb 21, 2013
This is just one of the many concerts where Wizkid was introduced to the "world" by Mr. Banky.

My first experience was at the Val's day concert organized by Samsung in Oniru. His performance was crazy, he dressed like the Shitta boy he is.. But mehn, wen he started with "Holla @ ur boi" the crowd went crazy.

Wizkid has it in him. I can remember telling my besties then that this boy is bound to blow. Many years later, he still keeps creating his best performance and track yet. The boi is definitely an hardworker and when he is old, he would have the respect that many accord D'Banj and Tuface.

Think it, he started at about the age Davido did, and he has lil or no dirt on him. Like Asa Asika, these are the level headed professionals of the music biz. Many might claim, the Banky factor is there, but the way the divorce from the EME label has been handled and even his divorce from Osagie (his ex-manager) tells a lot about him.

I respect him totally, and I wish him all the best in his endeavors.

God bless Wizkid, the sky is only the beginning for you

Business / Re: CBN Ready To Sell Five Bailed Banks 100% To Foreign Investors by agbola(m): 3:05am On Aug 31, 2009
I guess the evidence is clear 4 all 2 see now, I had so manyt premises faulting his actions but many would hush you before you even start talking. Sanusi is clearly acting as a political weapon for those who were aggrieved in the consolidation programme and are seeking vendettas to rubish the likes of Ibru, Nwosu(Finland) & Akingbola. If you read the court case papers by Akingbola against SAnusi and the CBN you'll see that Sanusi had been party to the demarketing of Intercontinental as evidenced in their antics in trying to seize Kano State and CCECC accounts through demarketing techniques even before entering office.

The manner and reasons why SAnusi took over these banks is still a major bone of contention but the main area of concern is the wisdom in selling these banks to foriegn banks. Anyone who carefully followed the world economic crisis would know that these were heavily involved in catalyzing the recession. It was their poor judgements in giving out loans that destroyed the mortgage market in America and other practices like offshore banking, investment in high end derivatives etc. that landed the world into this mess. Some of these huge foriegn banks like Citibank were in worse situations than our so called troubled banks, It was the wise quiet intervention of their governments that saved them.

Also we should know from the history of foriegn banks in Nigeria that we cannot fully entrust a sizeable share of our banking industry into their control (that is even if this Northern Agenda thingy is for real), Foriegn banks have a way to conscious approach to our market as they believe we are a high risk country because of violence, corruption etc. And for these banks they would be shy to invest in SMEs and budding Local Corporates which any economists knows are the driving force behind any economy.

Also there is always a limit to how far our Nigerian bankers can rise in these banks and whether they would want not just export our talents to other nations, Also they would be milder on social responsibility activities which I must tell you is a very important aspect and duty of any company operating in Naija.

In summary Sanusi and Yar Adua must at first look at what their visions are for Naij's economy, We need to create an economy that isn't over reliant on the West but give opportunities for our businesses to grow on the international stage (this is what made China and India world powers). Also we should look at banks in a wider broader economic perspective (not just holders of depositors' monies) but look more importantly as a financial institution WHICH MOVES FUNDS FROM IDLE HANDS (DEPOSITORS) TO USEFUL ECONOMICALLY PRODUCTIVE HANDS (INVESTORS). These investors should be local and if we hand over the 3rd largest GDP contributing sector in our economy to foriegners we are making ourselves slaves in our father's land (Lest not 4get dey already control majority in the 2 odas ;oil and telecoms)
Politics / Re: Jos Killings How Do We Stop This Madness? by agbola(m): 11:58pm On Dec 01, 2008
dis thing isn't nu 2 me, i'm a full blooded christian and hav seen hw d bible is interpreted and reinterpreted by many preachers,
d problem isn't islam its d wicked and cold hearted people who use it to incite people and control their minds to do such acts of wickedness jus lyk in Jos and Mumbai,
d brainwashing had been going on for many years all it needed was a torch to blow it up and that is what d election did, to set up another round of ethnic and religious cleansing jus like it happened in yugoslavia and most of africa, it only shows the wickedness of our elders who call themselves our leaders and their backwardness, also i blame those fighting whether northern or eastern who are tagging this as a religious war or whatever, i felt nigerians were more fun loving and easy going people than to be allowing themselves to be used for another man's vendetta against some set of people for some reasons best known to them,
Religion / Re: What If Obama Is The Anti-Christ? by agbola(m): 7:05pm On Sep 08, 2008
this argument has already grown past whether Obama is the antichrist or not, i don't think so myself and according to the scripture it won't even cross most people's mind

I believe the Antichrist is not just 1 but 2, the spirit of the Antichrist which had been around since the days or maybe before Jesus and the person who would come and establish his government and oppose Christ as it seems.

What Kunle has been reading about is his spirit which has been around since and has been possessing  many to go fight against the gospel even from the time of Herod who tried to kill Jesus in his infancy

Also the spirit of the Antichrist his activities against the gospel and his ways of deceit are all part of satan's many strategies in this great controversy that has started between God and Lucifer since the beginning of time.

The Antichrist as a person and his kingdom is different and thats what every1s been arguing about. It is his activities thats been talked about in Revelations

But as in Daniel 12:4 many would waste their time trying to understand it all. It is only the wise will and thats because they would understand things

1. The World will come to an end for everyone either through death or rapture
2. The Antichrist will surely come and fulfill prophecy just as Darius, Xerxes, Alexander the Great, Jesus, John the Baptist
and he will decieve many even the elects
3. The spirit of the Antichrist is already roaming about deceiving many, changing doctrines (Dan 7:25, 8:11-14) and
turning people against Christ through Sodomy, Blasphemy and misinterpretations of the bible and its laws
4. The only solution is that instead of speculating on who he is, we should rather study the word deeply, repent, obey
God, live for him and prepare for our own end of the world

Whereas Ronaldo is Portuguese most Spanish and Portuguese players fream of playing in Spain for either Madrid or Barca so what Blatter is sayin is that it isn' t fair to stop people from fulfilling their dreams

I rili feel for Terry, it wasn't really his fault

Ronaldo C. (I must include C because no 1 can be as great as Ronaldo da lima) showed how badly he cud handle his nerves on a big nite but nice header anyway

maybe when chelski stops being local champions (which they r not anymore) and win the champions league then they would be able to call that effective football.

At least real spent 11 million and they had the 2nd highest goalscorer in europe and chelski broke the english transfer record for d biggest flop of the season

Sports / Re: Gunners Tremble In Fear As Real Madrid Sack Capello! by agbola(m): 12:58pm On Jun 29, 2007
Its in moments like these i wonder why i am a real fan, our so called board seems to keep throwin us back into the wilderness after we have met an oasis

If u check realmadrid fanclub website www.realmadrid.dk you wud find out that there is more to this than seems the eye

1st of all capello wasn't calderon's idea, it was mijatovic who brought him in, knowin the guy's quality as a coach and his reputation of always ending the season with at least 1 trophy. Calderon had always wanted Bernd Schuster to coach real, him being a former player for the club and being the perfect anti-barca who also played for them for 4 years which was precedented by 1 injury to 1 controversy to another, until real bought him to annoy the barca fans, and the rejected stone of barca became a star player for real despite his playin out of position (check espnsoccernet.com 's analysis of the bernd schuster ordeal)

When Capello started havin problems, Calderon who has never liked Capello because of his brand of football so that was his chance for capello to be booted out and schuster brought in, he was so desperate to get schuster that he even agreed to a 1million euro fine if real madrid failed to employ schuster at the end of the season.

Now i know that schuster is a good coach he has converted nobody getafe to a king's cup finalist and a team that humiliated barca 4-1 in the semis, he is a perfect anti barca and a huge fan of real madrid who has been eyeing the spot all his life. but there is already a good coach in capello who has won the league and most of all returned the team spirit, hardwork, tough mentality and the fighting never say die spirit that real madrid lacked in previous campaign. It wud take  a long time for schuster to get used to the team and be able to implement his style on the team (jus like capello and the 6 other coaches had) and it wud be harder as most players feel the team is on the right path and don't need to sack the coach.

What Capello wanted was dedication and players playing according to instruction and for the whole team rather than the i must shine mentality that is in most madrid players.

It is sad that the team is having to go thru this again especially now when we shud be lookin forward to strengthening the team and maybe the champions league. apart from the assuranc of them being able to control i see no other reason why schuster should come and replace capello.

But one good thing about madrid is that we have a knack of suprisin people, lets see what happens

Politics / Re: Fg Bows To Labour Demands, Reduces Fuel Price, Vat by agbola(m): 11:39pm On Jun 19, 2007
wat is new about yar adua's position the increase in salaries had been negotiated and promised to commence in january 2008 during the last administration, and N70 is only cold comfort, we all know that what the FG wants is for fuel to reach N100 per litre, (OBJ said that why can't we buy fuel at such a rate when we pay N130 for a bottle of beer, like any1 can drink 50 litres of beer talk less of 50 bottles).
As for the VAT all well done at least they had sense to see that it was doin more harm than the goods they claimed will come out of it (they said the same for deregulation and people still pay N120 per litre in maiduguri)
I still believe the oil issue is so that OBJ's friends can start up their refineries on a high and quickly make their money,
they have never been true to us and will never be, they will continue to dribble us until they get what they want (like they always do)

for the strike,i think i need the rest, whereas there is no fuel in my car.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Real Madrid Wins Their 30th La Liga by agbola(m): 12:36am On Jun 18, 2007
[flash=200,200]http://REAL MADRID WINS THE LA LIGA[/flash]

after 4 years of waitin Real Madrid finally shamed their detractors by winning the la liga in a wonderfully action packed and suspense filled season. A team which as at February were mugged in Conflict with many players and the coach wanting out of the team somehow found their way back and fought from a 4th position to win the league thanks to their hardwork, determination, and fighting spirit. Madrid is back for good and we are here to stay. What a great time to be a proud madrid fan and in what better way to win it than thru a Reyes inspired comeback.

Oooh what a great way to win a title

Sports / Re: Super Eagles Coach, Berti Vogts, Has Terminated His Contract With Nigeria by agbola(m): 7:00pm On Jun 07, 2007
well u can say Mikel's behavior is bad but why would they want to play,
about the Vogts abroad issue, u are quite right but for a team which totally relies on foriegn based players for its national pool, u can't blame him.
Even the home based coaches who stayed at home all the time would call all the best home based players to camp weeks before the match only for the foriegn based players to stroll in days to the match and still win caps.

whether home based or foriegn based there must be a solid plan for youth development of football where the real youths not those 30 something year olds ( who might fizzle out before 2010) playing for our under 20s we are talking a real youth system which has helped countries like Spain, Brazil, Argentina (who also have a not so good economy like ours but have ben able forge a good league) It will make a coach's job easier, making it able for him to pick the best with no sentiment. And that is 1 of the many jobs of the NFA.
Sports / Re: Super Eagles Coach, Berti Vogts, Has Terminated His Contract With Nigeria by agbola(m): 11:38pm On Jun 06, 2007
THIS MAY LOOK LIKE A JOURNAL OR SOMETHING

@9ja4eva
i don't know what you people want from Vogts, d guy neva land una don dey dig pit for am, u think he is superman that he will just start doing miracles, look our football has no basis, since the time of Westerhof nobody has had a plan for Naija soccer, and it was because of IBB's support that he was successful, none of that is existing and NFA is only making matters worse, pls read that article at the beginning, all that isn't a rumor, this isn't the 1st time they've done this.
isn't it because they could manipulate Chukwu and co he lasted so long, or ask Siasia what his team is going thru, whether they can exchange jerseys (because they have none), how they are frequently locked out of hotel rooms because NFA fails to pay the bills, how Siasia had to run to Alameseigha for funds during the youth championships only for NFA to stay tryin to steal the success story. No true professional can work under this condition nonetheless a foriegner. This is the same reason why we can't succeed in sports.
We need to get our acts together before its too late, remove soccer from the hands of these politicians and give it to real sports men who 'live for the game not off it'
Onigbinde sef confirmed it that the problems with our sports were administrative.

We need to stop fooling ourselves that we have abundant talent and keep getting satisfied with underachievement and start building a master plan to overhaul our soccer for good, starting from the grassroots, start from the secondary schools, incorporate sports into our educational system like the americans do, (that's why they are successes in basketball and female soccer).

We shud stop tradin blames and start makin changes now before it is too late and we will also miss world cup 2010

Why are u complainin about Mikel he is injured, moreover he has had a tough season and like most teams like England U21 who rested Agbonlahor he needs rest. Also he has started playing for the national team which player do you know in modern football that plays for national teams and age grade teams, that is a 90s practice that we used to ffool ourselves and further undermine our youth development. When 1 person goes it gives the opportunity for another to shine.\

About Siasia we all know he is good, word has it that he will be the one to take over from Vogts come 2010, but let he develop at his own pace, let him develop his team so that when it is time they will take over finally and become the great team we dream about. Just like Jose Pekerman of Argentina who had been building the World Cup 2006 team for 12 years and in the process winning 3 junior world championship with , all the players in the world cup team played under him at 1 time in his junior national side career, and every1 must agree that even until defeat they seemed the most exciting and organised side in the competition beating Serbia a team touted to have the best defence in europe, pre-world cup 6 - 0 with a 24 passes move for the goal of the competition that night. He is arguably the best youth coach ever and he is so good his FA refused to accept his resignation. Siasia could be like this man to us and make us proud 1 day. But 1st he should be humble and know he still has a lot of success waiting for him. He shud also know that Mikel is his son any day.

TOLADOP
pls read the link this has been goin on before the loss, he has even opened ground sfor talk, wetin una wan make dem lock am up for tax evasion ni or u wan make him no chop, if u no pay ur staff u think say him go work or if u no give ur wife soup money u think say you go fit enjoy ur house. NFA are irresponsible that is just it.

there we go again we keep blamin the coaches and the players when the real devils are the NFA read the article for urself, i can't blame him i wud have done the same thing, he is even very patient can u do dat kind of thing to a mourinho, lippi or ferguson dat are the 'world class foriegn coaches' nigerians feeel we need

Ribadu shud drag Sani Lulu 2 EFCC to explain what happened to the 25% tax which is $37500 or N5.25million they collected from the poor man,
imagine NFA chairman sef dey do 419

@ Adura_ngba
guess u didn't read the article, NFA wud forward a request to Globacom who will then pay up Vogt's account, the process takes ten days to process and shud have been sent since MAy 11, so they are very much responsible for the confusion
Sports / Re: Shame: Uganda(2)-Nigeria(1). Upset In Kampala. by agbola(m): 11:51pm On Jun 02, 2007
@ kituan and monkeyleg
just as davidylan said it isn't vogts fault that he is stuck with a sick nation like nigeria's, the man is okay just that i doubt that he will be able to adjust if we continue like this.
i read in complete sports that if NFA were to terminate his contract then we would have to pay some heavy fine so he'll be the 1 smiling at the banks.

and kituan u shud understand that what goes on off the pitch has a very huge impact on players morale (that's why i feel NFA shud be more responsible in their dealings)
