Most people won't understand what the o.p is saying or how she feels unless you have once been on the "that" side...the society is ruthless to single unmarried girls wey don "overipe" for marriage...u are basically reduced to more or less a second-class citizen, in your place of work, your junior married colleagues feel you should accord them more "respect" since dem wear ring u never wear...for family meeting u no get mouth talk, for ur neighbourhood na ur matter all those housewives and teenage girls wey never see life dey carry do evening gist etc...I have an aunt who got married at the age of 55! if she begin dey tell u her story u sef go begin dey cry...my advise to all the singles who want to get married (cos is nt everyone that is interested in the institution) is to embrace a positive attitude and always see the brighter side of life...the world didn't end because u didn't get married and it won't end even if u decide to marry tomorrow...people will always talk...if you do dem go say u do...if u no do dem go say why u no do...u can't please everybody....and another thing if only you know how most married women envy you eh...u go triple your inyanga...u have the liberty to dress as you please...travel to places u please..., study to what level you please etc...I dnt know about others but sometimes I feel this marriage issue is just over-rated...so my angels cheer up is not the end of the world.

I tried to be nice when Coogar was making ''fun'' of her, I even rooted for her when she mentioned she is still a virgin until I saw through her old and wrinkled post. cheesy. Then I decided to derail the thread a little bit. Do you know how depressing this thread will be for the single ones with a good young heart unlike the OP who is .....let me comment my reservoir here and not complete that line. :X

I refuse to let this insecure OP further depress the good single ones. Where on earth are my yekini derailuway crew? grin

chiefinalowo:
There is no big deal in getting a second wife.
I have two and still eyeing the third one.
She knew four years after our wedding (No registry - everything is purely traditional)) that I would get another woman.
She never believed it until she met her at a function wearing the same dress we put on.
You know having SW and SE women under a roof is not easy, but I am in full control.
She moved in a month after and she is there till date.
They are well educated and the third one that I am eyeing now just finished her MSc.

Someone is talking about juju, forget that thing, I get am pass some Babalawos sef. I have cash to throw around to renew and to get new juju.
Only a lazy man will be afraid of a woman just because she is diabolical.
Is your first wife from SW or SE

huh Seriously SMH! The world is marching on gallantly and some inferior Black Afrian youths are here wasting away their lives over a useless round object being kicked around fields. Smhhuh There is nothing that can't be used to enslave Africans. My heart is bleeding! I wish i can just go there to wipe them off the surface of the earth. Look at Nigeria still in the mud, Boko Haram just recently slaughtered over 70 innocent souls for crying out loud, chaiiiiiiiiiiii!huh I see no future for the Black Race. What a shame! huh

It's interesting reading the comments from most of the hardlined advocates vying for more men working with pre-schoolers (3 month olds - 2 years), who incidentally, aren't yet parents themselves.

All easier said than done sha. Afterall, at the end of the day, it's just words, innit?
Tell them!

cococandy: If he works for one of those off shore companies,I'm aware that they always conduct HIV testing before and after every trip.
Or at least once in a year.

If you won't just take his word for it,
ask for the result and you have yours handy too. (He's supposed to give it to you before you even ask) but if he doesn't,ask for it.

But if he has never given you reason to doubt his fidelity, don't hound him.
Is not as if I don't trust him at least I know the man I married...is just that the rate at which these type of stories are "flying" about is becoming alarming...in my mum's hospital a man with 4 wives was recently diagnosed of having HIV...the illiterate wives are yet to find out...God Abeg oo protect ur children
