Without being insulting, yes Rivers is more populated. It is the hub of Nigeria's Oil and Gas industry attracting loads of people both within and outside the country. People flock to commercial centres warranting the increase in population. Oyo may have bigger land mass but not bigger population.

I am not Igbo but I am compelled to comment. I served in Etche in Rivers State and during camp when they were teaching us Ikwerre, every Igbo person on camp fully understood it. Also the Igbo people who served with me in my PPA completely understood Etche. Ikwerre and Etche are dialects of the Igbo Language the same that Ìjẹ̀bú and Èkìtì are dialects of Yorùbá. Whether Ikwerre and Etche people want to be referred to as Igbo is a different discussion. I believe this delineation arose as a tactic to divide the Igbo people in order to conquer them. If Igbo had won the war I don't see how any of the Igboid ethnics would have remained in Nigeria because they would have been persecuted to the last
