The game of football is played in the field and the psychology of the game is played in our minds. Arsenal to all intent and purpose failed to rise up to an occassion that should warrant their claim to being true title contenders. This is especially when the game with Pompey came after the Man United win (and a convincing one at that too). Even before the loss to Middlesborough, it was obvious that the team that Arsene had assembled still had to prove themselves.

This might not be an Arsenal season of triumph as the United lads have shown some more consistent commitment to retaining their championship. And coming from way down in the table at the earlier parts of the season, even while Arsenal maintained a leading position, to now top the premiership going into the last game of the year, it might not be a travesty of justice if the well known tenacity of Sir Alex's squad doing a back to back is repeated once again. . .

Aside from the father Jehovah who has been in existence since times indefinite, Jesus Christ is the oldest being alive in the entirety of existence as his age in year cannot be computed in physical terms. His entrance into this earthly system of things over two thousand years ago and the about 33 years that he spent while on earth cannot be adjudged to be the entire span of his existence.

So in conclusion, Jesus Christ to the spiritually discerning is at least just about as old as the entire created universe, which scientists have put at billions of years. But to those that know Jehovah and his son, they know that one cannot apportion years or a time ceiling to the length of time that the almighty father Jehovah and his son and master worker Jesus Christ have been in existence. . .

Wow, what a christmas this had turned out to be. The usual maddening crowd were at their best to impress with the festivities Okay, but there were others who were not so disposed in various circumstances. But at least, na christmas, so let the sober reflection and then the jollification and merriment continue. January 1st is around the corner, just a week from today, so we could all just take the opportunity to extend the holidays into the new year.

But for those who claim to observe christmas for it's spiritual values, I do not grudge you, but I hope that when tomorrow comes, the life and meaning of the existence of Jesus Christ (of whom christmas claims to celebrate in these days and times) guide you in your daily dealings with your fellow human being. Thankfully, we have documentary evidence of that Christ and his lifetime while on earth as contained in four books in the bible. Even non adherents to the christian faith can disregard all other portions of the bible, but an excellent model as to our very interpersonal and day to day activities are embedded in the accounts that contain the experiences of jesus in the very same situation.

May we be that better person irrespective of religious inclinations. We can start today and make every day in our lives a day that will give cause for the angels to rejoice and for Jesus to smile down on us and say "well done". Na only so we go take enjoy the presence of the father in the new system according to his words.

If na only this I take contribute to today as a day in time, I hope someone would see it and actually have a stimulating discourse on reality with himself. Take stock and project, maybe I'll see you same time next year

Dear poster, if you can understand the principle that there are other gods, then you would understand the principle of Jesus Christ being God, but mind you, he is not and cannot and would never be the almighty Jehovah God. I would not want to delve into complicated rhetorics here as most members of this forum have shown an avowed leaning towards sentiments and fallacies but I would try and be as simple as I possibly can.

There is nothing like a trinity and do not be confused by that concept that was introduced (smuggled) into the christian faith by the very negative forces of creation that has sought albeit unsuccessfully to thwart the original purpose of the father. Jehovah God almighty is the father and he created Jesus Christ as a co worker in his scheme of things. Jesus Christ is subordinate to his father and is the second in command in the hierarchy of the realm of glory that Jehovah exists (what the lay man would call heaven). He has never claimed equality or any form of co-equal status with the father as the are two seperate entities.

Jesus Christ however, being the express creation and image of Jehovah can claim unity and oneness with the father as he is fully aware of the will of the father as he was the tool that was applied in the creation of all that there is. The holy spirit of Jehovah is not seperate from Jehovah and is not a God as most christian doctrines would want us to believe. The holy spirit is the active force that Jehovah uses to manifest his will. This usage of Jehovahs spirit by him is witnessed in many bible accounts. Jehovah did not physically part the Red sea for the Israelites to pass on solid ground, he applied his spirit. This spirit was also the force that facilitated the transformatin from godkind to mankind in the physical birth of Jesus Christ. The holy spirit is not a seperate entity from Jehovah, it is a force from Jehovah and is not a God but a force that emanates from Jehovah.

Sorry for digressing, now to your question. Yes, Jesus Christ is a God, and we as human beings, created in the image and likeness of the father are also referred to as gods. But that does not mean that we have a right to claim equality with the father as he is the one true and living almighty God. Over history, we have encountered many gods, e.g. Baal, Ashtoreth, Dagon, Olokun, Ogun etc. These guys were and still are worshipped as gods, but does that equate them with the almighty? Thus, in that perspective, understand the Godness of Jesus Christ, but understand that unlike other gods mentioned, Jesus has never and would never claim equality or superiority over his father unlike what other gods would or might want their adherents to do.

At creation, all things were made according to it's kind, the various beasts according to it's kind, and mankind according to the image and likeness of God. Yes, the first set of created beings even before the foundations of the earth were laid were Godkind and Jesus is one of them. . .
