Yes I am telling you that the form of language that Moses spoke when writing the earliest books of the bible has been non existent for centuries. But, were he to have existed today and spoken the English language, he probably would have spelt the name he heard spoken to him on the Sinai with the English alphabets "J E H O V A H". Believers of the creator has over the centuries engaged christian establishment over the criminal substitution of of the real name of the creator, Jehovah, with terms such as Lord, GOD, Almighty, etc. This is wrong as we can find out in the earliest scripts the characters of the tetragrammaton and not an ambiguous use of the words Lord, GOD or any of it's like. The real name of our creator is what he wants us to call him as has been done even since the earliest days when men began to call upon his name. Those men were not calling upon the Lord as that could connote a wide variety of meanings and interpretations, they were calling upon Jehovah, a personal name of his which he has made known to us. Next time you pray, call his name Jehovah and begin to bear testimony. You would be doing what the greatest church leaders in christiandom has failed to do throughout the history of the church, and that my dear is doing much |
Thot u guys performed some surgery on someones stomach some few days ago looking for the whereabouts of that poor creature. I think say na recuperation from the effects of the surgery naim all of una dey oh, dat was why I felt u guys haven't been around these parts these past days |
I for say make una ask me o, but before I answer any asking, I have an asking to ask of my own. See, I have always been fascinated by the these words used as signatures by you all, e.g. "saa Bopa! saa tat! saa Muti! yes benna la!", thats Muki speaking in tongues , I guess one would need to take a very serious study of Geography and Anthropology to find out where that lingua is from. Attention! Interpreters wanted. Then there's the GOC, Iice's "For Sale: Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain." I can't help but think that this girl dey encrypt some coded information with that kind statement, somebody out there must be able to decode and decipher, but I would rather she does the declassification and debriefings, abi? Creamish claims to be a saint, the only thing I can say to that is "hmmmm", if y'all know what I mean. The rest of the people in this thread no dey inspire me, and their signatures are kind of lame (abeg if you're one of them, no mind me oh, I just dey joke). Check this out, "So good loving somebody, when somebody loves you back", I think I've heard that song in my previous life, maybe she think say person no go remember am, that was from kissobehi in the early days of this thread. Thoniaslim try small, "You don't struggle to keep what you never had", cool, although I do not think it's original to her. I just dey talk, I haven't even gotten around to asking my asking self. Seeing how I've been inspired by y'all, I decided to change mine too which was somewhat on the bland side. So the asking is, who cares anyway? ![]() |
And the rains came pouring down Na wa oh, these days, some people are beginning to have a first hand experience of how it feels when it seems that the entire world is drowning all around you. For obodo Naija, flooding is an everyday thing and you only need to stroll behind the back alleys of any major city and you find them, having ready and willing accomplices with the massive craters created by failed and sub quality roads, different sizes of water bodies that are as inconveniencing to road users and residents alike. These floodings which are most evident during the rains are also wont to rear themselves even in the dry season. Millions of Nigerians have gotten tales of woe to tell concerning their various individual experiences of floods and flooded streets and flooded homes etc. So, you could imagine my dismay recently when we observed events in the United Kingdom, images of flooded streets and highways and entire communities. The images were not as dramatic as the Hurricane Katrina episode nor the Christmas day Tsunami of a few years ago, but they were just a reminder of the vulnerability of man to the elements of nature. The excellence in the planning of a society such as Britain has is beyond reproach, but these are being stretched to the limits by the day. A thing worthy of note is the regular reports of flooding and flood related incidents all around the globe and the increase in it's frequency in recent years. So as we're here, experiencing these floods in our roads, in our cars and even inside our houses, make we no fear, it's only a sign of the times. We should be expecting some more freak weather as the years get by, but make we just dey pray say this cup go pass us by, but even if it doesn't, those that know are aware of thefact that these things had been long expected. These are the last days of the last days |
I have it on good authority that dog meat tastes excellently, used to have some eaters that worked for me. And for all y'all that missed me, una just dey make my head big. All this acada people sef. I ain't a student, but my youth service was done in the school. Una never still learn to dey call una school the real name. I no know if the suya man still dey sell chicken suya just before Iya Laje. The school go don grow a lot, then, my boss at the Institute of Education at the permanent site was always convincing me to have trysts with them girls, and I am proud to say she was not dissapointed. But that was centuries ago. I thank God for una, at least finally you guys will be in classes again. I hope that the permanent site has been concluded. Make una serious for una book o, the world is not a lover of dumbasses |
It is due to the different policies applied by these two colonial governments. While the French practised a system known as assimilation, the British were more in favour of a system of association. Thus, while a French colonial could claim French citizenship, it was not the case for a British colonial. This policies has dovetailed into the present kind of relations that exist between French colonies and members of the British Commonwealth, even till contemporary times. For those that did government in their secondary schools, this is a bonus question |

There is as much proof, even more as to the existence of Jesus Christ than Adolf Hitler, Napoleon Bonaparte, Julius Caesar. Secular history proves this aside form the history which modern christianity provides |
Hmmm |
Mizieya, this one wey u dey like big things so, are u sure u're not tryin to make up for some small thing? Becos, the kind of arguements that you are expounding makes one to wonder from what perspective you've drawn your conclusions. You claim not to be religious, that in itself is a plus on your part, but then you keep shooting yourself in the feet by casting aspersions on the creator of this existence where you, I am afraid is just another passenger(like we all are). The fact that christianity and other variations of global religious affiliations have derailed in their divine mission of spreading knowledge about the mysteries surrounding our very reason for existence on this earth does not mean that one should impugn the toga of deceit on the creator, whatever name he be called (although the ancients would tell you his name is Jehovah). This all powerful being, responsible for the balancing of the delicate laws that govern the entire universe, even up to the metamorphosis of lesser creatures like the butterfly to the daily struggle for existence and survival of higher primates like man etc has a monopoly of knowledge that one cannot comprehend. An attempt at this after considering all things, led to one conclusion by a great king that once lived "Fear God and serve him". If we believe that he created all things, it then becomes plausible that all things created were from him and are meant to be used for his purpose according to his infinite wisdom. It would interest you to know that the bible made references to some traits of our Lord which if viewed under human reasoning would be interpreted to mean evil, but mind you, the name of Jehovah means "Causes to become", whatever he wants to be, shall be, according to his power and glory. Do you know that it was an angel of death that was responsible for the slaying of all firstborn son of Egypt prior to the exodus? Do you know that a spirit from the Lord was the one who overwhelmed king Saul to make an attempt on the life of David? Do you know that apocalyptic expectations are filled with perceived evil on mankind? The list goes on and on, A great prophet was instructed to marry a known harlot, a virgin girl was made to marry a heathen king, even Jesus had to render some people without a job by scattering their goods. Under normal circumstances, the lay man go say God no fit do these things, but he does even more becos na only him know why, no matter how we claim knowledge, our knowledge is limited by the very fact of our being human. So if you want to call Jehovah a liar becos u wanna make cheap conversation on the net and make your nairaland thread extend in length, then I guess it's a free world, but mind you, be very careful that when it matters most, no be you dem go begin call liar. And please, for my enlightenment, could you please tell me which of Jesus prophecy was a fallacy? |
Are you serious about the factuality of this information? |
So people still do look for sugar mummies? So this gigolo thing is still on, hmmm |
Na wa o, una no go kill person for nairaland. If some white guys show you somewhere for bible, you for help us black guys by telling us where the place dey inside bible na. A sad ajadrage: There is some situation going on in our Benin City, it is the issue of cult related clashes. For some decades now, there has been a proliferation of these groups and their conduct and actions has been a source of concern to all good people not only within the city but statewide and even nationwide. There is no point here tracing the history and evolution of this menace, but their founding fathers has sought to justify their existenceb ut the realities of their present menace is one that has left all speechless. Rather than apportioning blames here, we endeavour to seek for a solution that will put a stop, or at least manage the negative and often violent antics of these young men and women. Right now within the city, young men live in palpable fear of the unknown as even mistaken identities has been known to have led to the brutal murders of many. There is a noticeable migration of young men away from the city albeit temporarily, just to avoid being a victim of some disgruntled miscreants. These migrations are carried out both by members of the warring groups involved and innocent people who are known to be acquintances, friends or relatives of members of these groups. As of this weekend, the death toll has hit double digits and the war continues unabated. It is worthy of note that while these young men maim and kill themselves in Benin City, their leaders are elsewhere conducting their affairs without calling their soldiers to order. After much harm has been done, one hears of some peace meeting somewhere where issues are settled and trashed out. This opinion is a call to duty of the various security agencies to rise up to their responsibilities and treat these miscreants as criminals as one is not even allowed to take his own life talkless of the life of another. It is the duty of all, from parents to guardians, friends and loved ones of these characters to let them know the futility of settling scores thorugh violence. I wonder the possibilities that will arise if the energy of these idle young minds are channelled to positive use, what a formidable army that would be that should champion the cause of developement and a sustainable way of life for the majority of Edo indigenes. This is our land, let not foreign tendencies come between us and the brotherhood we share. Most of these people have blood relatives in other camps, should I take up arms against my brother due to a misguided affiliation to colour or a superficial and ambigious loyalty to some cause that is hazily defineed. Ther is only one rational answer for this, a capital and resounding NO! This is our land, lets love the land and the peoples in it |
Lets all join our voices and wish His Royal Majesty, Omo N'Oba N'Edo Uku Akpolokpo, Oba Erediauwa, The Oba Of Benin Kingdom a happy birthday. Oba gha to okpere, ise |
Some people referring to themselves as christians actually hold their service days today, Saturdays. But holding services on the original sabbath is also a superficial way of showing devotion in this times when the main thrust of the gospel of Christ is still being relegated to the background |
I guess this heat was doomed for the ice since inception. Too bad, this might probably be the last of me on this thread. I hail una for all your encouragement. And, sharn, maybe I'll see you in another life then ![]() |
