Where do we go when we die? First of all, it is appointed unto man once to die and after death the judgement! Also, the soul that sinneth shall die! I am amused that most contributors to this thread are distinguishing between the body, soul and spirit. This belief is a lie of christianity just like another lie of belief in the trinity. When the creator formed Adam, he was a soul in all his entirety, body, bones and blood (as was with every other created creature). At this pont, it is worthy of note that he was inanimate as his carbon composition was not powered for life. Thus, to have life, he had to have the creator activate him by his life giving spirit in the form of breadth. This is the reason that man and animal die after the breadth ceases. This breadth goes back to the giver, Jehovah who possesses the power to give it back (which he will do on the day of judgement). As for where we go when we die, we decay and become feed for ants and worms and contribute to the sustainability of our common grave (this is the meaning of Sheol). Some believe that bad people go to hell, however, the word hell interpreted from original scripts were basically three words, like Gehenna(a place outside Israel where refuse is dumped and burned), Sheol, as mentioned above and Hades(Greek word for underworld). Thus, for those argueing the existence of hell, I am sorry. For those that say the righteous will go to heaven when they die, let me ask a question. Wsa Lazarus a righteous man? If yes, that means he must have been in heaven when Jesus called him back to earth. If this were true, were I Lazarus, the kind grudge I go bear Jesus ehn, na him for send me go back again. Lazarus was not in heaven when he was raised up, although he was a righteous man. To help me butress this point is Lazarus younger sister himself who professed faith that Lazarus will be raised up on tha last day, need I say more. So people, if we die, we die and nothing dey happen. We our created soul goes nowhere and end up as feed for some creepy crawly, our breadth or spirit as you guys term it goes up to the owner. When that last day come, him that formed us before, go form us again. Those that got drowned, those wey fire burn, even all those wey their body scatter for accident, he will reform us all, give us breadth make we take answer questions and if found wanting, we go die again which is the second death of which there is no hope of ressurection, those wey pass go live for the new earth with Jesus as king. The day is coming when all go realise the truism of this statement, "the living are conscious of events, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all". But what happens when we die, close your eyes and ears, you see that darkness, that emptiness, that nothingness, that is death for you. Absolutely nothingness until the dead hear the call |

There is only one God the creator of all the heavens and the earth and all that is in existence and all that ever existed. He causes all to be and he sustains all things, him alone must we serve for he created us for this purpose. I know him as Jehovah through the prophets and his spoken word, Jesus. If you like call him the God of our oppressors, thats your business, but even he created these so called oppressors for them to serve him which they have failed woefully in that regard |
Sentiments aside, how would you rationalise the existence of early hominids, australopithecus africanus, homo habilis, homo erectus etc prior to the more recent revelation of perfect homo sapien man. Do you agree that they were Jehovahs creations. If you do, where do they fit in in the scheme of mankinds history since science has done a good job for us by detailing their existence and way of life? But I have not answered your question |
The name of the almighty creator was heard by Moses, and he made this name known to all in his books which he was directed to write mainly and specifically for the purpose of making the creator known to mankind. Today however, the language which he wrote the name in is no longer in use, but it is recorded in the original ancient scripts and the characters are regarded today as the "Tetragrammaton". Those that have done the interpretations of these ancient languages have come up with words like"Yahweh" and Jehovah", but the meaning of the word is rendered to mean" causes to become". That means, he is all so powerful that he causes to become that which will become. The name of Jesus means " the salvation of Jehovah" and this name is also referred to as Yeshua, just like his name sakes, Joshua in the old testament who is also reffered to as Yehoshua. However, interpretation or not, the name of the one true and living God is

Truth is the spoken word of that which brings all things into birth. If truth can be defined by factuality, then nothing is more real than the reality that there is in existence one who has never been known to have spoken that which did not be. Thus, when the physical manifestation of that word spoke himself to be the way, truth and life, a truism was in effect being realised in all the entire history of mankind. In consequence, the lie becomes the deceiver and slanderer and all that negates the truth as expressed by Jehovah through his spoken word Jesus Christ |

The situation is so sad, I believe that with the launch of the Nigerian satellite things might improve, although this would be dependent on the sincerity of those who have been saddled with the responsibility of selling the frequency. I do not think that most internet users know what a broadband connection is and in the emerging world technology, broadband is even getting obsolete, but in Nigeria, we are still grappling with this snail speed shit. I suggest we try and form a pressure group that will write articles and lobby for serious and drastic measures to be taken. Our mumu don do |
TayoD, sorry to burst your bubble, but it is clearly and explicitly documented in the bible that Eve did not bear further children until after Abel was murdered. Seth was born into the world after Cain had already taken a wife, so, it is most unlikely that Cain took as wife his sister, as there is no bible reference to that effect, thus lending further credence to the fact that there were other peoples inhabiting the earth simultaneously with Adam. Coming to the issue of angels taking a fancy to earthmaidens, those events took place quite a while after the era of Adam and his nuclear family. At that time in the earths history, man had already started populating the world, thus, Cain was not expecting the Napthalim or their angel fathers to smite him, he was expecting fellow men to do such. I still maintain that Adam was not the first inhabitant on the earth, in fact, he becomes somewhat of the most recent creation, but his status as a perfect man amongst other manlike creations is that of an earth god representing the almighty God in his creation and figurehead of all created. |
Adam was not the first inhabitant of the earth as the chronology of Biblical accounts of creation explains. However, Adam represented mankind in creation and the generality of the god like creatures present during the infancy of mankind. The presence of others like Adam was confirmed when a curse was laid on Cain that none should strike him dead in the course of his sojourning. Thus, while closely following the Adamic lineage, the bible applies him as a personification of the promise between God and man |
I like the language, many people in Africa and beyond speak it |

Just had a conversation about determination and the will to succeed. It only confirms the belief that each individual has a choice to make at any given point in time, just as circumstances of less priviledged individuals could ultimately lead to individual greatness. Some are more fortunate than others, but the choices we are faced with vary in degree and consequences and our ability to make the right choices becomes the difference |
kissobehi, na wa oh, wetin I go do now? ![]() |

Just one simple arithmetic fact, if all the vampires that had ever existed since around the early 10th century must feed, think of all the people they must have fed on and these bitten people go still turn vampire and them go stll feed oh. aif for example, only one vampire existed in the 10th century, they would have to feed consistently for 365 days, at least 365 people will become vampires from just one person in a year. These new vampires go indoctrinate the same number of people and they keep increasing geometrically. If it is true that they are immortal, then by this time everybody suppose don turn vampire na |
Seniorak47, I beg I no be bros. you can call people like them Adenuga, Dangote, Elumelu etc. Dem plenty well well, but rather than be daunted by their achievements, I want to be inspired by them. I never reach three decades for this world, but with my knowledge gained thus far, what can I do given the present circumstances available to me. Nigeria is a hard land for most young people, but we are the ones that would populate the land in the future. I want to be a positive contributor so that generations after me would benefit from my efforts. My training as a political scientist exposed me to the inter-twining relationship between domestic economics and socio/political stability. My question was raised to awaken dormant inclinations to be pro active. It is a given that things get done at a more accelerated pace when a goal cum target is set, so like the brother would say, "no time". I believe that since you've seen this question in other quarters, some people must reason akin to my perception of reality. That's nice to know ![]() |
Una all dey try, but none o ya lyrics dey make me fly see the physics in the style, it was good but just for a while Now y'all deviating from the source that got y'all congregating Now y'all dissipating cos da rage come reawaken Odada and and the baby mama, guy u go promise say u no go ever harm her So soon, no more pains to feel, even as she finds herself "back in your arms again" Uh, yeah, uh, uh, yeah |
I went to one of the major churches with a worship assembly close to where I live earlier today. I had not been in a church for any kind of fellowship for quite a while now. The sermon was okay and passed on some message. However, the underlying reason for the assembly was defeated in that the ministers were laying emphasis on pseudo materialism. This is to the detriment of the admonition of Jesus Christ that we should pray fervently for the coming of the kingdom. I would not say I did not gain anything from the service, but I fear for some in the congregation who would actually believe that the quest for things of the world supercedes the expectation of the coming system of things. If it were up to me, I would want the kingdom to become physically manifest as of the now. Why should these men and women of God not enjoin the followers to call the name Jehovah and entreat mercy on mankind by putting an immediate halt to this wicked and sinful existence. If I were maybe 10 years younger, I may have left that service with a different perception of the kingdom of our Lord, Jehovah. That should be the primary purpose of a gathering of the faithful. The point of such a gathering on a Sunday is in itself another point where issues arise |
Stimulus, thank you for your correction |
Thank you kissobehi, you have solved a problem for me already. Now let me start another one, ray-dar wanted questions about Jesus Christ. If you could explain to us why the misconception surrounding the birth of Christ is still shrouded under the christmas cloak. And these contemporary pastors that should have endeavoured to correct this belief in christmas still make their followers believe that a christmas birthday for the master is worth celebrating |
And may all the people who have posted on this thread have a long and eventful life , amenooooo |
bari-kade, please try understand me. The church founded "on" Jesus Christ has since ceased to exist, this is the church that is defined today by massive physical and architectural masterpieces and bureaucracy, belief in dogma and tradition and has spawned mushroom churches all over the world with the materialism and socio/political influence as their driving force. This is the contemporary christian faith. This church is physical and millions albeit billions are a part of this group. However, we're not all in trouble as the church founded "by" Jesus Christ and "in" Jesus Christ continues to exist, just as he told us that we are the body of this church and he is our head. This group of faithful people worship in spirit and truth and they would be the ones that would enjoy the new world order which is even now being unfolded, along with others who are termed as the "other flock". So my dear, yourself and me too and even any that wants to be there still have a hope of a better life someday |
Na wa oh, see me see trouble. I dey here na. Wetin una dey find me for? Kilonsele? ![]() |
timmy7, do u know dat Jesus Christ was not a Christian? The term christianity only came to be used to describe his followers after his crucifixion. Thus, while this great teacher (who believe it or not was a man of flesh and blood) was undergoing his earthly ministry, he provided certain glimpses and revelations on events that will come to take place and while doing so, expantiated clearer the things that had already taken place. And all these culminating in the final fulfillment of the will of the Father creator, and this my dear is beyond christianity. Moses was not a christian and neither was Daniel nor John the baptist, but na d same work of the father dem dey do. The claimants of christianity today are busy doing their own work while disregarding their primary assignment. Another word of note, christianity cannot be describd as ancient as it is just about 2000 years old, do you know that people have been worshipping the true God since the beginning of the world, and the final culmination of this present system of existence has been revealed to certain people before even the coming of Jesus |

, amenooooo
