Typically, before you can be issued a certificate of sponsorship (COS) by your potential employer. You must have been offered employment in the UK which meets the minimum pay for immigrants.

On accepting the offer, you go through some screening which varies amongst employers. Every employer/organization have specific onboarding activities which varies from background checks, filling of forms, signing some agreements etc.

You are expected to also have prove your knowledge of English language, TB test results (All this have been stated in the first post).

Once you submit all the necessary documents to your employer, they will start processing your COS. You don't have to do anything else but wait patiently till they send it to you. Once you receive the COS, you quote the COS ref number on your visa application.

Don't be deceived, my friend got his letter at Nasarawa polytechnic this month, did his documentation and capturing.
Two days ago, he received his first Salary even without reporting to the school.

It's all about whom you know, may God answer our prayer soon.

My connect said he wants to see the sample of letters of appointment (especially after the lockdown was lifted) so that he would know how and where he could be of help. Agencies that have been issuing appointment letters such as FIRS, civil defence, etc, pls it is time we post our letters so that we can see 4 ourselves.(covering your identity).
Reason is that some people do not believe that letters are being issued on daily basis, even after the lockdown was lifted up. They thought letters issuance ended by March. They needed evidence. Pls let's help ourselves. Thanks.
