In the 1950 era, you can't go to school until you hand cross over your head to your other ear, how did we get to the point where politicians could boldly drop such lie to a populace of over 100 million adult?

That's the truth, for your hand to cross over your head to the other ear you must be 5 or 6 years.
That's why most kids then start primary one at 6years.

The info is true. If you kill Idemili python,the people will hold you responsible and if you do strong head, they will show you vawulence Koro Koro . I am from Anambra too and it is not only in Idemili that killing of python is forbidden. In my own local government,Ihiala, it is forbidden. It may interest you to know also that there are towns in Anambra that kill and eat python,it is Umunze town. It is not a state thing,rather depends on the town

Also in Anaocha LGA whose capital is Neni, you don't kill python(Eke). Did my Nysc there 2011/2012 service year, batch B.

Back then in GCDC, PH, we were taking a test of which I was the first to finish the test.

On submitting the answer sheet, I went back to my sit, brought out my notebook from my school bag to check if the answers I gave were correct.

After checking them, on returning the notebook, the teacher saw me, and he asked me to come out and kneel down (he taught that I was returning my 'intel chip') after which 6 strokes landed on my back with instructions that I must rewrite the test.

Lemme quote him.

"Go back to your sit, tear out a sheet of paper. I give you 3 MINUTES to submit..."

From that day...

I really do not understand most people's mentality.

He probably do not have enough education or skills do other jobs. Even most Nigerian students with graduate degrees do it to pay their bills until they have acquired the required education or skill to work white or other blue collar jobs without complaining.

He should even be greatful that he has the opportunity to earn a living and to contribute meaningful to the society. If he doesn't like he should consider it a stop-gap and start learning a skill. There are such opportunities in most western European country.

Also as long as a job pays your bills and you pay taxes it is considered a job in Europe. I know Europeans that clean for a living. They pay their mortgage from the income raise kids and live a normal life like every other person without people looking down on them.

You've said it all, God bless you for this, there are Europeans who clean for a living and they live better than a middle class family in Africa. A job is a job provided it can foot your bills and you don't beg alms for a living.most myopic individuals will come on this trend and be commenting what doesn't make sense.

Dear Nairalanders, Good evening to you all. I'm in a state of delima right now and I'm so confused on what to do that's why I decided to bring the issue here.

I have a Cousin, he's wealthy and we used to be very close to each other, we do alot of things and talking together. Even when we do meet at Villa during festive periods, we are always together 24/7 that people do think I'm the one eating his money. (If cousins were to marry each other, we would've married ourselves)

So fast forward to 2020, things began to take a new turn, he began to change towards me completely, he hardly picks my calls, neither does he reach out to me thereafter to know why I called (Mind you, I'm not a leech to him, as my family were very comfortable too) When I lost my mom (May her soul rest in peace) this my said cousin never called me to sympathize with me, and I didn't hold it against him either. He started giving me space, I tried everything possible to know why the sudden space from him, but to no avail. So I kept my cool and distanced myself from him.

So fast forward to this 2022, his fiancee (Whom I knew her from him) called me on the 20th of last month to tell me that their wedding is on the 18th of this month and she would so much like me to be in attendance! My cousin never bothered informing me about it even till now!

Now my question is,' Should I honour the said invitation by his Fiancee and attend their wedding or I should stay back and call her to wish her Happy Married Life after their Wedding?

LALASTICLALA, MYND44, please help me push this to front page so I'll get a wider audience to share their opinions.

There is this guy, we dated for 2 years before he traveled abroad (Italy) 2019. Our relationship was going on well even when he traveled out, we were always calling each other on video calls everyday. I was so faithful to him.

Suddenly (last year March), he started avoiding me. He could go for months before he replies my calls or chats.
Atleast no matter how busy you are, you can always spare 1 minutes of your time with the person you claim you love.

Please note, he's always online, We do video calls mostly on WhatsApp and anytime I try to reach him on video call or send him a message.... it always ring and deliver but he won't pick or reply.

Here are my reasons why I'm so confused whether to move on with my life or not.

1) Although before he started avoiding my calls, he told me he was busy... that he was working on something (but he never disclosed the particular "thing" to me)

2) We were supposed to get married as planned last year August. But this is May 2022 and absolutely nothing is in progress about it.

3)I discussed with his friend about it and he told me he's in a relationships over there. (I don't know if to believe him or not, because he didn't show me proof)

Now, it been a year I'm enduring his character. I feel like I'm stuck alone in this relationship. Heaven knows I haven't offended him in any way. I wish he could open up to me and tell me what I was doing wrong so that I could adjust. OR he should just tell me he's in a relationship so that I could move on.

I plan visiting his elder sister this weekend and explain to her the issue on ground but on a second thought I think I'm too forward. I'm jst confused and I feel hurt.

Have being in Italy since July 2016, though currently in Nigeria for a visit. I feel your pain but try and make him speak to you about situations he's confronting over there, He might not be seeing someone else.
He needs to integrate properly into the system and mind you this is not an easy task, cause the official language of Italy is Italian a non English speaking country. Have you asked him if he's gotten his permit of stay (permesso di soggionor)
Which enables him to work and reside legally in the country??
My advise try to speak and make him open up to you, I believe he will do if he really loves you. This is my advise. Ciao Ciao

Please nls, I need your advice.
My Fiancé rented a 1 room and Palour out of a 3 bedroom flat. Its well demarcated so they only share the kitchen. The other two rooms are occupied by 2 different individuals which were tenants before him. He came in through one of the earlier occupants and they've been living very fine.

Please I wish to know
What are the dangers of living in such apartment if perhaps issues arise because

1. The lawyer or the landlord according to him, is not aware of the development. Once the rent expires, they get paid and so have no need coming around in a long time.
2. From what my guy said, All 3 of them are not the first occupant of the Flat. It was handed over from the original tenant to his co tenant who rented it out to him.
3. Though he has the lion share of all bills(electric and security), since he occupy the larger part of the house, he has no access to the original rent receipt.
4. Other flat, are all occupied by family men and have no need to share. Just his flat.

So, the enlightened in the house, please what are the dangers of living in such place perhaps issues arise among the tenants in the future?

To me there's no danger in sharing apartment if the inhabitants are okay(when I mean ok good but not 100%)

Here in Milan I leave in shared apartment(2 bedroom flat with a neighbour) we split the bills and the landlord is aware. Our both names is the the contractual agreement signed. though I'm still a bachelor. But won't advise a shared apartment if you're a family person (married with kids?

If he was living in an apartment in a country that rent is paid monthly like UAE or UK he would have long been evicted

Even in Europe where I live(Milan, Italy), rent are paid monthly.

Thinking of staying in ones property for free for 12months? Do you know the current cost of building materials

Contractual agreement are not meant to be kind, but obeyed. If you can't you would have told them ab-initio.

I think the board of trustee of PDP needs to settle both Obaseki and Wike as soon as possible.
OBASEKI must try to be loyal to people, whether big or small, this one that he now seen as a betrayer every where he goes is not good, even Phillip Shuaibu for me should cut down his pride, because good name is better than Riches.

But there is something wrong with the woman. Was there no relative or female friend to help her? Was there no husband relative or friend to help her? Anyways, I like the fact that she summoned the courage to stop the affair and also to report.

The husband should forgive her for the fact that she stopped it and reported the case to the police. After all, the husband himself contributed to the problem. Did he not know when the rent was to expire? What effort did he make to ensure his family gets shelter? His inability to provide shelter for the family does not justify the immoral act. But let him be considerate.

You've said all, an immigrant without UK accreditation can't earn upto 2700 pounds a month, and you will have to pay bills from the said amount.
