In brief, I am a male married with 2 children, my daughter is 8 and son is 5. I also have my niece 11 and a house help 15 staying with us.

On Monday I gave my wife Christmas shopping money to get foodstuffs, hers and children clothing including our house help.

Yesterday my wife went shopping, she bought clothes for herself, our children and nothing for the house help. She claimed that the girl doesn’t need any clothes for Christmas as long we feed and send her to school, the rest is her parents' duties. The girl in question is my wife's relative from the same village. This girl is so nice to our children, she is like a second mother to them despite her being just 15, I have never had any problem with her.

I was mad at her that I told her, if she cannot treat another woman's child well then she doesn’t deserve to be a mother, yes I did said some harsh words to her because of anger. She accused me of sleeping with the little girl which I told her she is mad and she couldn’t stop crying the whole night. This morning she didn’t make my breakfast and refused greeting me back.

What she did is wrong, how does she expect the house help to feel when her kids put on Christmas clothes and she doesn't ? This is someone who takes care of your own kids. Sorry to say your wife is been childish and for accusing you of sleeping with a 15 years old house help is absurd, don't beg her? If i where to be in your shoes of which i can't be. Who's the man of the house if i may asked? I will insist if she doesn't buy the house help clothes our kids will not also wear theirs on christmas day simple or you can send the girl back to her parents let her be doing everything by herself and don't stop helping the girl with her education through her parents or relatives and do not let your wife know Some women are wicked

Lagos State government has said by the first quarter of next year, it would begin to issue licences and permits before any borehole is drilled for water in any part of the state.

Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission, Mrs Funke Femi Adepoju, while addressing stakeholders at a meeting, explained that this move was to safeguard residents of the metropolis.

The meeting was attended by members of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), Financial Institutions, Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) and Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners Operators among others.

According to her, the exercise, which is to be launched by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is to regulate the process of water abstraction in the state.

Mrs Adepoju affirmed that licensing was a significant process in the regulation of any industry as the commission was determined to ensure its availability and sustainability to prevent the effect on unregulated water abstraction.

“What is paramount to government is how abstraction affects us as a people not just today but the future with emphases on pollution, contamination of water bodies, saline filtration into the system, over-abstraction and unregulated abstraction,” she stated.

While assuring that only registered companies captured in data will be issued a 2-year renewable license with unique and personalized number, the Executive Secretary explained that the commission was not established for a punitive purpose, but rather to establish standard in the water extraction industry in order to ensure that the health and safety of citizens are not compromised.

According to her, the essence of the engagement was to improve the relationship between stakeholders and government by developing ways to sanitize the industry, stressing that the agency has acquired mobile water test kits which are to be used in testing samples during operation and that approval for the acquisition of a standard laboratory for water testing is on the way.

You're absolutely right, relationship should be give and take between partners involved, no matter how little it is. I once had an ex like that she told me my money is ours why her money is hers. Obaseki will most likely not get APC ticket in Edo come 2020 if Oshiomole is able to deliver Kogi and Bayelsa.

Obaseki has not achieved up to 35% of what Oshiomole achieved in Edo state as governor yet Obaseki has been demonizing Oshiomole in the state and openly and secretly persecuting those whom he perceives as loyal to Oshiomole.

All through this political crisis in the state, Oshiomole has not responded to Obaseki except for when he pointed out that the election for the house of assembly leadership wasn't done right and that the governor should issue a fresh proclamation and try to lobby for support so those who agree with him (Obaseki) can emerge.

Obaseki hasn't done this. He hasn't been able to lobby as should be the case in politics and democracy. Instead, he is using force and the power he has as governor to suspend elected LGA Chairpersons, sacking commissioners and other government appointees who dare not to support his dictatorial style while leaving infrastructure and development in the state to collapse.

Oshiomole constructed over 1000 roads as governor, built and renovated over 1000 schools across the state, built several hospitals, built a university, revitalised public transportation in the state and brought in several investors who set up companies that are actively functioning today.

Obaseki hasn't achieved half of the above yet he feels Oshiomole's advice or input isn't necessary in the state.

Obaseki is on a wrong path and except he makes a U-turn, he's definitely not getting the support of APC to continue running the affairs of the state, least he becomes another politician who will loot the state without remorse like the PDP days and use state power to silent anyone who questions him.

It's quite unfortunate the children can't be removed from such abusive environment, if it is a saner climes, since the woman doesn't want to live such abusive home, the government will take custody of the kids and she will loose the kids to the government.
