Ahead of the Presidential election slated for Saturday, Presidential candidates of the Peoples Coalition Party, PCP, and the All Grass Alliance, AGA, Nicolas Felix and Chuks Nwachukwu have dropped their respective ambition in support of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

In a ceremony currently going on in Abuja, the two called on their supporters to rally behind Atiku, saying his capacity to provide a new direction for the country informed their decision to subjugate their ambition, in the interest of the nation.

Please, does this also apply to people who sent their transcript via email? my transcript was sent via email and I sent ICES an email asking if they’ve received it , they acknowledged and changed my status to “application received” , from your explanation now does that mean my transcript has not been received? And it’s just showing ‘received’ because I had paid and stuff. Please help

Based on the documents to send to ICES can i first ask my school to send my transcript and statement of result since my certificate is not ready to ICES before i proceed online to apply for evaluation, or is there any difference from applying first online before my school sends the required documents

Application received means they have received your money, or they have received your online submission for ECA. It doesn't mean transcript received. However, I believe your transcript may have gotten there, but it hasn't yet reviewed yet to certify its authenticity.

ECA is just a test of patience.

I did not submit any form from ICES to my university, neither did they ask. But who am I to talk, my ECA is not ready yet

So sorry about your IELTS result. As per your credentials evaluation, if speed is important to you, then go for WES (meaning you can quickly sort out your waec and transcript), but if speed is not important then you can use ICES.

The Lagos-Ibadan Railway is one project that the South Westerners can't wait to see come into actualization. It is a project that cut across three states namely, Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states. The project will help to curtail the traffic and also make life easier for Nigeria. People in Ibadan, Abeokuta can get to Lagos in minutes and return to their home without the hassle and struggle of traffic. The minister of transportation has been following the project like his pet project, according to him, he can't wait to see the vision and the project become a reality.

Just as the minister for transportation, Mr. Rotimi Ameachi has mandated Nigerians not to "siddon look" and read all news on dailies and social media, he said he has mandated all securities around all construction sites to allow Nigerians to take pictures and verify all constructions across the country.

People seem to be holding him for his word as a man named Otunba Sula has gone to verify the Lagos-Ibadan railway Abeokuta Station at Oke Mosan. According to him, he went to check things for himself and also give a first-hand reportage of the real issue, read his account below...

So I visited this site just this morning (Sunday) and it was busy as usual. The scale of work is awesome and there's huge progress made already.

I wanted to see the work done on the Lagos/Ibadan rail around Abeokuta Station for myself so I paid a visit.

I caught soldier units all around, all I had to do was courtesy & smile at them and they allowed me through.

Apparently, they don't allow just anyone in to not disturb the flow.

It's incredible how they've surmounted the challenge (in little time) of building a tunnel for a rail path under the Abeokuta-Sagamu dual carriage highway.

Not so far from that tunnel is a huge bridge (actively undergoing construction) and an even smaller tunnel.

I'm uncertain what this huge 'machinery thaing' does exactly but I bet it has something to do with laying rail tracks (perhaps specifically over bridges). I've seen a smaller one along this same rail path over the old Abk/Ibd express road.

the longest flyover in africa is now ready for commissioning.. the flyover will be commission by president Muhammad buhari on 27th of this month, the day he will visit the state to seek for their mandate for his second term...the former governor of the state engr Rabiu musa kwankwaso was the one who stated the project during his tenure and itz now completed by his successor.
the flyover is 1.78km

Following the repeated violent attacks in Ilorin, Governor Abdulfattah Ahmed has banned street rallies in Kwara State after setting up a joint task force to curb the incidents.

The governor made the announcement during a state broadcast, yesterday, in which he reiterated that his government would not let the state slide back to the dark era of fear and violence.

He said only political rallies in designated areas and with prior notification to the state police command would be allowed henceforth. “The state police command is hereby authorised to ensure full compliance,” the governor stated.

Governor Ahmed also told political parties and their supporters to campaign and solicit votes through lawful manner and refrain from deploying divisive and inciting rhetoric or instigating violence against real or perceived opponents.

“Thuggery, vandalism, intimidation and other forms of criminality will neither be allowed no condoned in any part of the state,” he said.

“Following assurances by the security agencies, I urge all our people to go about their lawful activities without fear for their safety. Our security agencies are capable and ready to forestall any further recurrence of such ugly incidents,” the governor said.

According to him, “As your governor, I assure you that no effort will be spared by my government to protect the lives and property of all law-abiding residents of the state. I also urge you to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, movements and developments to the security agencies for prompt action.

“In this regard, I have approved the establishment of a Joint Military Task Force comprising the police, army, navy, air force, Department of State Security, Civil Defence and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). This body is tasked with the responsibility of providing an extra layer of security and preventing a recurrence of the political violence witnessed in the last couple of days,” he said.
