This country is a waste...mk everybody go answer im papa name...there is never any development in Muslim fanatical leaders that rule ....from Yemen to Chad down to Niger or Pakistan or even Afghanistan to Sudan ....no difference between those places and northern Nigeria...we need to all go our separate ways

SW should forget the fake promises made by that lifeless man...that man is an Islamic fantastic and will never give power to the south after his tenure...he plans on giving power to another Muslim fanatical , el rufai and then the sw will understand that evil man's plan ...and he will use power of incumbency to make it happen...and that's y he is a god in core northern states...atiku is liberal and that's y he lost woefully...atiku to them is an infidel... and they knew atiku wud hv handed over to the south

The sw have forgotten so soon how babangida promised them leadership, only to annul the June 12 election and then stylishly handed over to abacha ... Their plan was for abacha to rule us for decades like ghadaffi but death took him away....I just don't know when the sw would wise up and stick with SS and SE as one...tinubu na selfish devil
I could have fallen, but when u said IBB handed over to Abacha, then u messed it all up. U really need to work hard to gather information and knowledge, they exist aplenty in the public space.

actiondrilling:
DEPUTY Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who has been declared winner of the Enugu West Senatorial seat to represent his constituents for the fifth time in the Senate, has promised he would not abuse their confidence.

In a statement by his Special Adviser, Media, Uche Anichukwu, Ekweremadu while reacting to his victory, expressed gratitude to his constituecy, noting that it was a record of its own in the eastern part of the country. The Deputy Senate President said: “I am not taking this election for granted especially given the unprecedented nature of my election. This is the first time within this part of Nigeria that someone would be elected consecutively for five times into the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It has never happened and I am not taking it for granted. I indeed feel very humbled and I give all the glory and thanks to the Almighty God who has made it possible. “I must also thank my friends and associates, the great people of Enugu West – very industrious people, highly civilized people, highly accomplished people, very educated people, who in spite of the fact that I am just a little boy from Mpu have given me this unprecedented opportunity. “Recall also that about a year ago, we went through a lot of storm for the major part of 2018. So, nobody believed that a day like this would come when I would stand for an election and be declared winner. So, only God can make that possible. “I believe that what is expected of us this time is to give back to the society that has given us this opportunity and those that have given us this confidence to ensure that this confidence is not misplaced. So, a lot is lying on our shoulders. I would like to say clearly that we will not disappoint Nigerians.”

PoliticsRe: "The North Never Told Us They Do Not Like Suffering And Poverty" - Fani Kayode by akintunde63: 7:30am On Feb 26, 2019
[quote author=FrMbaka post=76124622]Some are cut out for the suffering and do not care about it. The North never told us they do not like suffering and poverty.

All they want is power. I spoke to a Hausa Fulani friend of mine last night who spoke what he described as some truths to me.

He said you Igbos have commerce and industry. Your people travel all over the world, many send money back to their parents and their communities, from their diasporan jobs.

The South West has commerce also, education, thriving airports and Seaports.

The Middle belt has agriculture and Food, and we accommodate them by giving them jobs.

So we must leave power to them in the North. That Power, is all they have to survive on. That whether you guys leave power for us or not, we have designed a foolproof means to take power and hold on to it till 2031. He said that power to the North is not a desire or want, but a genuine need for the survival of the Northerner. That in the next 48hrs, I will see what will happen, and how easily Buhari will be declared winner. I said impossible. He said just watch.

He told me that the North suffered while Obasanjo and Jonathan were in power. He said OBJ retired all their Generals. OBJ gave the ministry of Finance to a Southerner for the first time, that Jonathan did same. That if not for El Rufai and Ribadu putting their foot down in 2007, that Obasanjo was almost going to hand power over to a Southerner in the name of Peter Odili. He said that that singular move by El Rufai and Ribadu will make one of them President after Buhari in 2023.

He said the North will never go back to playing second fiddle. Their experience from 1999 to 2015 is not one they will forget in a while. That the North loves Buhari, because he gives all his appointments to Northerners. That whenever a northerner is in charge of a sector, they recruit and promote northerners, and it's effects last for more than 20yrs, and help their people survive, which is why they love and admire Buhari's approach to appointments.

He went on to say that Atiku is from an unrecognized Adamawa State and is almost a Kanuri. That him and his restructuring agenda will never be allowed to rule. That he knows it, and all the North know it, which is why the elections in the North are peaceful and there is no fighting, thuggery and killing. That the North know that Atiku's policies will advance the South and send the North into deep poverty, not on purpose, but by sharing the power, so they will not let him on board. That PDP shot themselves in the foot by choosing Atiku. A man from the Northwest, Tambuwal or Kwankwaso would have done it, and kept power in the North for them, but Atiku is far too exposed.

He even went as far as telling me that the south should forget 2023, and 2027. That the North have agreed that the south will not have power again till 2031, at the earliest and so it shall be. By which time they will have Fulani emirates in cattle colonies in Ebonyi, Oyo and Edo State, whether we like it or not.

They have told Ribadu and El Rufai to warm up, that it will be one of them in 2023, most likely the former, who is being kept away from controversy.

I asked what about Tinubu and Osinbajo. He laughed louder than ever. He described Tinubu as the biggest southern fool alive. He said they in the North were surprised that he would be fighting for Buhari's second term, after all Buhari did to him in his first four year term. He had none of his ministerial appointments approved and was shut completely out. All it took was Buhari attending his birthday party for his heart to melt. His VP was also shut out and is continously disgraced in Aso Rock. The only VP in the history of Nigeria that cannot see the president without going through an administrative staff, the chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. He said they do not trust Osinbajo, hence keeping him out of sensitive meetings, and that he will never be President, except he is ready to wait for 2031, but he is not their type.

He said the game of divide and rule will be perfected after 29th of May, as they seek to reduce Tinubu and prop up the likes of Fashola and a few others from the South West. He said by the time they finish with Tinubu, he will either go to jail or leave the party to run under another party platform, but they do not care.

I said, so you really think Atiku will lose this election. He said yes, that the North are not fighting. They have chosen, and Atiku better go get back his monies from the Generals that he bribed to make him the concensus candidate of PDP, yet failed to consult them when choosing a VP.

I thanked him and said that Atiku will be the next president of Nigeria and all their evil plans will be destroyed. Let us all pray for Atiku and Obi's victory. We have voted. All we have to do now is protect our votes and pray. If only Southerners would listen and Unite, the North would not have just evil plans against us.

PoliticsRe: At Last, Kwara Is Free - Lai Mohammed "Enough Is Enough" by akintunde63: 7:20am On Feb 26, 2019
Gistpeeps:
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said with the outcome of last Saturday’s elections, Kwara is free “from a choking and pauperising political hegemony of a self-imposed dynasty”.

The Minister, who is the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara, stated this while briefing newsmen on Monday in Ilorin.

He stressed that never again would the people of Kwara be treated like slaves in their own land.

“Enough is Enough – O To Ge!,” he said.

The minister said the official results of last Saturday’s National Assembly elections in the state was a clean sweep for the APC.

“All three seats in the Senate and all six in the House of Representatives were won by our party.

“I want to ask the incoming Governor of our state to, immediately he is sworn in on 29 May 2019, to declare Feb. 23rd of every year as the Day of Liberation for Kwara State.”

The minister gave gratitude to God for the victory and thanked the good people of Kwara for coming out to vote for APC.

“No single individual can claim credit for this victory. It belongs to the people of Kwara.

“All of us, the party leadership, were fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time to lead the process.

“But the ultimate credit goes to the people who resoundingly said NO to the PDP last Saturday.

“Fired on by perhaps the most impactful, three-word political slogan ever in the history of party politics in this land – ” O to Ge” meaning Enough is Enough”.

“Kwarans have confirmed the saying that the power of the people is much stronger than the people in power,” he said.

The minister said the victory in Kwara was achieved in the sweetest way because the election was conducted in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.

He said: “not a single shot was fired throughout Kwara, no one snatched ballot box rather it was an atmosphere of conviviality.”

Mohammed said the election was a sharp departure from what used to be in the state.

‘It confirms what we have been saying, that when there is adequate security, there will be a level playing ground for all the parties, and for all Kwarans.”

The minister thanked the security agencies, all the party members, supporters and leaders of the party across the state.

saints2:
The legal team of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned an emergency meeting for Tuesday, TheCable understands.

Coming on the heels of the rejection of the presidential election result by the main opposition party, the meeting is expected to discuss the next line of action.

The notice of meeting was sent by Kabir Turaki, former minister of special duties who unsuccessfully sought the presidential ticket of the PDP for the 2019 election.

The meeting, which will hold at the Legacy House, Abuja, is expected to start at 4pm.

Turaki, a senior advocate, told invitees to “appear in person” as there will be “no representation please”.

“The legal works are about to begin,” a senior PDP official told TheCable.

The outcomes of all the previous elections, bar 2015, were challenged in court, although Olu Falae withdrew his case against President Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999 after the intervention of prominent Nigerians.

President Buhari challenged all the previous elections he lost — in 2003, 2007 and 2011.

In 2015, President Goodluck Jonathan took the unprecedented step of conceding while the final result was yet to be announced.

References:
Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi has debunked the insinuation that South East Governors influence results to help President Muhammadu Buhari achieve 25 per cent of votes in states in the zone.

Umahi made the declaration on Monday in Abakaliki while addressing newsmen, noting that the insinuation was unfounded and blamed such on fake news purveyors in the social media.

“Why do we need to negotiate for the sex of a child when the child has been given birth to? “The fact is that the president remains the boss of all governors and any reasonable governor must respect the president, party differences apart.

“You gain nothing by castigating him and such castigation does not stop him from being the president. “You should rather make him your friend and see how you can get something for your people. “The bible tells us that when the ways of a man is pleasing unto God, it keeps his enemies to be at peace with him,” he said.

The governor noted that those who lived for themselves end up heating the system as they collected their salaries at the end of the month, fed freely among others. “I am in a hurry to change the story, narratives of Ebonyi people so whatever vehicle of peace that I need to join to achieve this, I will join.

“Our people are good in social media but will never go to get their voter cards and will be announcing results,” he said. He enjoined journalists to vote in the elections to enshrine good governance despite their election monitoring schedules. “I expect 90 per cent success in the elections of March 9 and I want you to ask me question on this, that day. “All the prophecies made on this election failed and you (journalists) were the ones propagating these prophecies. “People will just wake up and declare: thus says the lord and this is unfortunate,” he said.

Umahi commended INEC for ensuring a hitch free election but urged it to ensure the efficiency of the card reader which recorded several hitches on Saturday. (NAN)

Saraki worked hard for Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP). On Twitter, Saraki’s supporters have been tweeting him consolation messages and he’s been retweeting them.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Locks In Northwest, Southwest, Northeast, Niger, Kwara - Leadership by akintunde63: 10:27am On Feb 25, 2019
deomelo:
The initial suspense and curiosity among Nigerians over the outcome of last Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections began to give way last night as President Muhammadu Buhari took the lead in four of the country’s geo-political zones.

Other winners on the Senate and House of Representatives elections also emerged. The zones won by Buhari are the Northwest, the Northeast, the Southwest and the North Central.

Results from states and local government areas in the aforementioned zones showed that Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, will certainly secure another term of four years. INEC will officially announce the results after their submission by the state resident electoral commissioners (REC) at the National Collation Centre in Abuja.

Results declared by the commission’s officials at the polling units, wards and local government areas put Buhari far ahead his main rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

At the time of filing this report last night, results available to LEADERSHIP, which key stakeholders confirmed showed that Buhari was fully in control of the Northwest. It was learnt that Buhari already had 20 states across the country in his kitty. Buhari also made impressive showing in the Southwest zone, where he won in most of the states in the region. Except Oyo State, where the coast was not very clear at the time of filing this report last night, Buhari took the lead in other states in the entire region Of the seven local governments released in Borno State, Buhari won in all of them. He also swept all the councils in his home state of Katsina where all the APC senatorial candidates also defeated their rivals. The situation was the same in Gombe State where the president defeated his main rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in seven of the nine local government results released by INEC.

I think Atiku's supporters knew he was fighting a lost battle, but only supported him for a few reasons:
1. To chop from his money, like they did to PDP in 2015
2. U would see that most of his supporters are known thieves, they believe he would not prosecute them but even allow steal more money if he wins
3. Some thieves whose businesses av suffered under Buhari wanted Atiku to win in order to help their business interests.
