This is a president that knows the efficacy of prayers and God word. and also since the election is around the corner he is banking on the large number of vote from the Christian in American to come through for him again.....God bless American...God bless Nigeria... God bless Donald Trump
How has all the prayers in Nigeria helped us? Let's be real please. Trump is only concerned about reelection and wants full reopening as soon as possible to aid economic rebound. If the economy remains as it is his chances of reelection are slim. That is the matter. It is not for altruistic reasons please.

HealthRe: COVID-19: Enugu Begins Decontamination Of Court Premises, Fuel Stations, Others by alabo1: 8:15pm On May 20, 2020
OEPHIUS:
COVID-19: Enugu State government commences decontamination of all court premises, offices, fuel stations

The Enugu State Fire Service, today, commenced the decontamination and fumigation of all court premises and offices in the state, starting from the State Judiciary Headquarters complex at the Independence Layout, Enugu.

Briefing newsmen at the State High Court complex, the State Chief Fire Officer, Engr. Okwudiri Ohaa, said that the ongoing exercise was directed by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in furtherance of his administration’s efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) in Enugu State.

Engr. Ohaa explained that the first phase of the decontamination will cover the High Courts and Magistrates Courts, while the second phase will be the turn of the Customary Courts.

Noting that the court premises are among the sensitive places that attract influx of people, the Chief Fire Officer recalled that the administration of Gov. Ugwuanyi had recently carried out the decontamination exercise in Enugu metropolis and its environs, all major markets in the state, motor parks, hospitals, among other high traffic areas.

Engr. Ohaa who disclosed that the exercise will be repeated in some of the areas, pointed out that “from here (State High Court complex) we go to filling stations where essential services are also being rendered”.

He added that the exercise will equally be extended to “Nsukka zone and Awgu zone”, stressing that “it is only Enugu State that has been consistent in the decontamination and disinfection of its environs”.

His words: “The records are there; we have covered over 300 high human traffic areas in the state and we are continuing. The substance we are using for the fumigation and decontamination is powerful chlorine disinfectant mixed with calcium hypochlorite. It is internationally recognized and not harmful to health”.

Responding, the Chief Registrar of the State High Court, Mrs. Martha Aroh-Onuoha, on behalf of the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Priscilla Ngozi Emehelu, thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for his administration’s sheer commitment to safety, health and wellbeing of the people of the state.

The Chief Registrar said that decontamination exercise coincided with the directive of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, “that all courts should be decontaminated”, describing the exercise by the state government as a welcome development.

This is what emperor Wike should be doing during his 24 hour lockdown. So far I see no point in the exercise. No fumigation, no increased testing, nothing. Just grandstanding. I await bashing from his supporters/those benefitting but the truth is the truth. Peace

Nigeria keeps going round in circles

In a sane clime, Femi Adesina would have resigned when Gambari was appointed

But hunger currently ravaging the country which they fail to admit will not let him

In Nigeria, honesty ends where money starts!!!

Femi Adesina is a perfect example

It is not about money but lack of integrity and people lacking strong value systems. These men are not and can not be hungry again. It is the absence of the prementioned values and our primitive accumulation mindset that causes these. People resign for less in the developed world because they put honour before wealth and political advancement.
Foreign AffairsRe: China Replies Trump Over Threat To Cut Off Ties by alabo1: 7:03pm On May 15, 2020
Melezenawii:
Trump can never do that, American Economy will collapse.

"China is the second-largest foreign holder of U.S. Treasurys. As of February 2020, it owned $1.09 trillion in Treasurys, more than 15% of the public debt held by foreign countries. The U.S. debt to China is lower than the record high of $1.7 trillion held in 2011.

China buys U.S. debt to support the value of the dollar. This is because China pegs its currency, the yuan, to the U.S. dollar. It devalues the currency when needed to keep its export prices competitive.

The U.S. depends heavily on China for providing the low-cost goods that enable income-constrained American consumers to make ends meet. The U.S. also depends on China to support its own exports; next to Mexico and Canada, China is America’s third largest and by far its most rapidly growing major export market.

And, of course, the U.S. depends on China to provide funding for its budget deficits. It is the largest foreign holder of U.S. Treasury securities – some $1.3 trillion in direct ownership and at least another $250 billion of quasi-government paper. A lack of Chinese buying could turn the next Treasury auction into a rout.

America depends on China because of a fundamental weakness in the structure of the U.S. economy -- a profound and worrisome lack of domestic saving. In the fourth quarter of 2017, the net domestic saving rate (depreciation-adjusted saving of households, businesses and the government sector, combined) was just 1.3% of national income.

Lacking in savings at home, and wanting to consume and grow, the U.S. must import surplus foreign saving from abroad – and run massive balance-of-payments and trade deficits to import this capital. In 2017, the United States had merchandise trade deficits with 102 nations!"

https://www.industryweek.com/the-economy/article/22025438/us-needs-china-more-than-china-needs-the-us
Finally an informed comment. A lot of comments here show that the average Nigerian is highly ignorant about how the global economy works. Currently the US needs China even more than China needs the US. To add to your points, Trump’s budget deficits will make America’s trade problems worse. A low-saving U.S. economy can't square the circle without trade deficits. With tax cuts of $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years and another $300 billion in spending increases added in by a reckless Congress in order to avert a government shutdown late last year, the net domestic saving rate is headed toward zero – or even lower – with trade deficits likely to widen sharply in response.

Currently exports make up only 20% of China GDP. While America is still Chinas largest export market, a cessation of exports to America will have minimal effect as these volumes will be distributed to other trading partners.

It is not about emotions. It is about fairness and being just. They have as well as won the league with 2 games needed only. It will be unfair to cancel all their efforts. What the league should do is organize a playoff for the last say 6 teams to determine relegation status and maybe a playoff for teams no 3-6 for champions League final spot.

The next option is to continue the league whenever the virus is contained and adjust the football calendar accordingly.

Arrewa:
Speaking to Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency, the head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Authority, Ali Abedzadeh said the black boxes would be analyzed in the country where the accident took place, in accordance with ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) rules.

Ukrainian investigators would be a part of the process, he added.

But Abedzadeh did rule out involving the US in any stage of the investigation. "We will not give the black box to the manufacturer [Boeing] or America,” he said.

There you go, they've done nothing wrong. Stop stirring things up.
The first informative post I have seen on this matter. It is sad how people jump to uninformed conclusions. This firstly is most likely not a missile induced crash as satellites would have picked it up since that area is one of the most monitored in the world. Hence no reports whatsoever to that regard.

Secondly in line with ICAO rules the country a crash occurred assumes coordinating authority over a crash in conjunction with the country of the planes origin - note not the manufacturer. Boeing made the plane She does not own it. Iran has no obligation to hand over the black box to her. Let us all try to reason based on knowledge before commenting. Peace

Destruction for who if I may Ask? You honestly think the US can win an all out war against Russia and vice versa? Why did the US not stop Russian incursion into Syria which has ensured Assad remains in Power? Please leave reliance on western media sources and do a thorough analysis. The US is not the global defender of human rights and peace that it claims to be but the current superpower that acts solely in its own interests at the detriment of all. An in depth study of South American and Middle East history will reveal this. However she is not alone as other World Powers also do the same in their areas of influence- Britain and France in Africa a case in point. In the end it's all about personal interest played on a Global scale.

Mind you Nato met and proof was presented on the so called generals meeting with terrorists organisations providing support and intelligence

Would Russia not retaliate if its workers are killed. In similar manner. WOULD China fold her arms?
All unfounded speculation. I guess you don't know the history of the Georgian conflict?

You talk of Svestapol and Ukraine? The crisis there was caused by the US who supported the violent overthrow of a democratically elected government simply because he was pro Russian and rejected entry into NATO?

Which country has trained and armed more rebel groups than the US in the 20th century- The Taliban, Syrian moderates are just to name a few.
The Syrian crisis was never about Assad's tenure which was not over- he just won re-election before the crisis. It was about the possible Iran-Iraq-Syria gas pipeline backed by Russia which Assad favoured over the western favoured Qatar- Saudi -Jordan -Syrian pipeline which would have reduced European dependence on Russian gas and hence Russian influence over Europe.

No country on earth conducts more surveillance and cyber attacks even on its own citizens than the US. Remember they tapped even their own allies - Germany a case in point.

There was no proof that Solemaini was preparing an attack against American interests. Rather his success against ISIS and other insurgents was unifying Shia elements in Iran and Iraq which was against American interests.

I am also not a sensationalist but an unbiased scholar. I urge you to read more widely and not rely on the western media propaganda machine for information. Peace

Of course it was US that invaded Syria. Lol. Who are these gents sef. No wonder the nation is stunted in mediocrity
Due to people like you who blab without facts. The Syrian rebellion was orchestrated by America to thwart a Russian backed gas pipeline that was to pass through Syria. That was the reason they wanted Assad out. Following the rebellion the United States armed a number of groups who they tagged as moderate rebels to fight the Syrian government. These groups were nothing more than affiliates of ISIS and other fanatical groups but this was of no concern to the US so long as their goals were realised. It was only until Russia and Iran stepped in that the tide against ISIS was achieved. Till date the US still supports a number of so called moderates against the Syrian government leading to continued instability in Syria which suits them fine as it prevents the building of said pipeline. Please read and listen to non western media and be well informed rather than espouse western propaganda. I state that the greatest current cause of instability in the middle East is the United States in quest for total global hegemony.
