Tell me, why did Paul have to REASON ? Why not just throw scriptures at them and tell them to believe by faith.

It also said we should bless them that persecute us. No room for the prayer of bitterness that we see among brethren in these instructions. Thats the foolish argument i was saying people are not willing to engage in. While i dont support the nonsense fire prayer against perceived enemies among brethren as you said, I cannot agree with you that it wasnt God that answered Elijah's prayer if that is what you are driving at. Hebrews 12:29 says that "our God is a consuming fire". My only problem with you is when you tend to question the credibility of what is written in the scripture, not when you question the credibility of pastor's action or church doctrine.

That guy should answer you. Its not enough for him to run his fingers on the keyboard giving a lower-than-half defence on what you wrote.

- Was it God that made the fire to come down from heaven at Elijah's beckoning
