peggywebbs: Is it not clear to you when they say " the heart of man is desperately wicked"?.
You didn't ask for a good thing, instead you are asking for sickness and affliction. You don't know how you came to this world, you don't know what happens to you after you leave this world and you still live every gifted day challenging a Creator you don't know.
The fact that you don't believe in God does not make him less real. It is simply beyond your knowledge. But I tell you this day. A time will come, and you will see the truth. I just hope it is not too late.
Repent now, do good, avoid sin. Live a godly life and believe in God. Yes he is real. He is not Buhari. You can't call him up for a press conference. He is God. He is not answerable to you but you are. On the last day. When you are asked, what did you do with the time given to you on earth.
Please please and please don't say " I spent it daring God to prove his best or worst".
Let it be, I fed the hungry, I loved my neighbor, I spoke no evil and I served God.
In the spirit of Coronavirus, stay safe. You don't need God to give you Coronavirus. You can simply walk up to the disease control center and shake an infected person.. good luck. mumu talk |

FemiMaduka: Nigeria; a very unserious, untidy country. A country that has its priorities wrongly lined up. For decades we've been dillydallying about this issue of economic diversification. We also had restructuring on the table. If we had agreed to restructuring, we would have inadvertently had a multipronged economy. But, alas, this is Nigeria where very few people see beyond their noses (ethnic and religious shackles).
Whether we like it or not, crude oil has gone to the dogs. Natural Gas still has prospects, but can we even exploit it efficiently, seeing what mess we made of a far friendlier crude oil.
There's a fundamental problem, which clogs the wheels of advancement, with the psyche of an average Nigerian. If you're in doubt, just take a look at how an average Nigerian despises locally manufactured goods. For instance, check the responses to any thread on anything Innoson motors. You'd be appalled. If the Japanese people despised national marques like Toyota, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Nissan even when they were in their infancy with all the attendant teething-issues, how would they have broken the hegemonic grip that the likes of America and Germany had on the auto-industry.
China's aerospace sector piggy-backed on the more advanced Soviet (Russian) analogue. It doggedly reverse-engineered (some times with permission, and without at some point) Soviet (Russian) designs till it was able to hit her breakthrough. All through this time, the Chinese government and people embraced its poorly built, Russian-clones. They stuck to them religiously. Today, they are already threatening to upstage the American aerospace sector.
This is what happens when a people know what they want and give what it takes.
What do we want? All those you mentioned are a people. There is no such thing as "nigerian people". |

Canih: Have you experienced any form of RACISM? . How do you think it will be stopped? . Because blacks are said to be inferior to all other races. . For a black man to get work, home, citizenship, visa in another foreign country which are mostly white people, they will either tell you to: ़Go get it back at his\her own country or ़The waiting time for that will be longer than people without colour. . Please let's stop racist behaviour and tribalism in any way. . Tell me which white man's country this happens in? |

FrLukas: Maybe you should download the book, The Economic Hitman and read how the Western world has kept a lot of countries under subjugation even after the colonisation.
Do you know that the greatest harm done to the black man is convincing him that everything about him, his religion, his way of life, his skin colour is not just inferior to that of the white man, but also inherently bad and evil.
Drop that in the minds of a people and watch them slowly die a little more every day.
Slavery, colonisation? All those are evil bit not the real backbreaker.
The real straw that has broken the camel's back is mental slavery and mental colonisation.
The African is wired through and through to regard himself as very inferior to anyone that has a lighter skin shade than him.
What do you think makes our people to actually bleach and peel off their own skin if not self loathing.
I saw a video and I was shedding tears.
It was the doll test for kids.
They got some 4-6 year olds.
Individually, they sat them down and placed two dolls on the table in front of them.
Then, an adult asked them questions, individually, ofcourse.
They would ask the black child of 4 to point to the bad doll, he/she would point to the black doll.
They'd ask the black child to point to the beautiful doll, they'd point to the white doll.
They'd ask them to point to the ugly doll, they'd point to the black doll.
They'd ask why the child thought the doll was bad/ugly etc and the kids always said because it was black.
Then the teacher would conclude the session by asking them, which doll looked more like them.
The look on their faces as they pointed to the black doll reluctantly was always heartbreaking.
We keep seeing the reinforcement of this mentality even among adults who bleach their own skin and bleach their children's skin.
In Nigeria, Indians and Chinese are treated better by the police and others in a server role than even the citizens.
Even the man on the streets looks at a white man walking the same street with him in amazement like he just saw a god.
It is going to take centuries before the black man eventually finds his place and he's going to have to discard the white man's religion if he wants to do that. Just a test to see if you are also afflicted. Say this : "Bleep God, Bleep jesus, Bleep mohamed. I spit on all of them" |

Buhari is yet to address the nation. Take me back to the Goodluck Jonathan days when we had Labaran Maku (information minister) who must have been interviewed already. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who must have advised the government on the best economic approach to take, and GEJ himself who must have addressed the nation.
Take me back to the GEJ days.. I am fed up with incompetence and backwardness and acute zombieism Even the quack health minister would have given us hope by telling us to bath with salted water to cover ourselves. |

voltron14: Let me tell you something.
When Abacha was president, Nigeria was under a choke hold, there was no electricity just like today but that was the period in which the Nigerian home video industry (Nollywood) became an African brand.
What of the Afro music that has gone global today, when did it germinate? Same time as when Abacha was in power.
That is the kind of creativity we need in all spheres.
Today, we are talking of Coronavirus, how many protective Hazmat suits are being built in Nigeria?
How many masks are being built?
How many of the clothes in your closet are made in Nigeria?
Honestly, we lack productivity and it stems with the populace. So na to only entertain the world we go dey do? Cooning on an international level? |
