There is no way that Igbos or Yorubas could be found as "minorities". The Igbo have been undercounted and the Hausa have been overcounted, we want reasonable/reliable figures.
odumchi, I know what I am talking about

Hausa is not alone because it is called hausa/fulani thus they are the most populous people in Nigeria

Now if they find out the ijaw is more than yoruba or igbo would you people not take to the street (riots)

I hope they do the ethnic census
It would have been better to have sited this in Enugu, that has access to a int'l airport but still has the need for a world class/5-star Hotel.

Did anyone catch the cost and contractors for the project? These would be a pointer to what type of Hotel we should expect. I'm not interested in any 'local champion/Obi and sons' type of construction angry. World class should mean world class.
I think that makes more sense

jumobi1:
Would work if we had a larger middle class in Nigeria. The Big boys in 9ja would rather go to Dubai to flex than somewhere local. If we had enough middle class, these ideas would thrive. We need electricity and transportation to facilitate the growth of the middle class in Naija.
How many big 9ja men go to dubia

if the middle-class are going to spend money, it is either abuja, lagos or port harcourt

Now, Enugu is not a bad site given the fact that it has int airport. at the end of the day it is both nigerian and foreigner we need not just nigerians

enugu or anambra would have been a better location

the tribalistic ones are just 3 or so

now, this people don't respect there people. just like i can not use ezeuche , mekus etc or wily wily to generialise  the whole igbo people

You can not use rioters or alj harem to say they respect the whole north

people are individuals and such we should not generalise.

Even ciroma (as ugly as the man is) wasn't left out, either.  he couldn't bring himself to do it so used his cuban ciger, instead! grin
Just like their other hero zik- the so-called "beautiful bride of nigerian politics" who eventually morphed into a washed-up harlot before going to answer to his maker.

In fact, i heard from source perpendicular to the bearded monster himself, that it was on one of the private shows bianca and Ojukwu's blood cousin (okonkwo) gave the ikemba of nnewi on his marital water-bed that precipitated his december cardic arrest  grin

I respect the Man as an Activist but utterly have limitless hatred for him for failing on BIAFRA leaving scores dead, dispossessed and stigmatized just like the Germans after Hitler. I will never forgive him for that. When you plan something as significant as a secession that will lead to Civil War, you must run it through and through, a Blade run through a wild animal will ensure speedy death, leave it half-way and it becomes a wounded lion, much more dangerous than a dead one (obviously). The Igbos have carried the stigma of BIAFRA till this day. It has now become popular culture to ridicule, isolate and cheat the Igbos when it comes to Politics, Economy or Social sphere. He should just carry on his journey so his memories are completely forgotten

r231:
There was drama yesterday when an angry mob stripped Unclad two men, Alaba Abiodun and Samuel, who were allegedly eating human flesh.

However, the suspected cannibals were lucky as the timely arrival of policemen from the Area ‘F’ Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos State, saved them from being set ablaze.

Earlier, a passer-by along the rail line in Ikeja saw three men in tattered dresses. One of them was making a call and one eating a meat suspected to be human flesh.

The passer-by raised an alarm that attracted the mob which instantly pounced on the two suspect human part eaters. But the one making the phone call managed to escape.

Their problem was compounded when the mob moved to their hideout behind the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat fence and found a cutlass, knife, charms and meat with fat which the mob suspected to be human flesh.

When a detachment of policemen from Area ‘F’ arrived the scene, Abiodun told them, that he was a carpenter but had no money to set up a workshop.

Abiodun claimed to be from Akiniku in Moloney area of Ilaro, Yewa, Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria. He added that he made the hideout his residence as he could not afford to rent a room for himself.

He explained that the meat discovered in their hideout was a cow fat which they eat and not human parts.

After intensive questioning, the policemen were convinced that the suspects were mistaken for human parts eaters and sellers by the mob. They were later released.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS on the incident, a police officer who preferred anonymity advised the public to investigate suspected criminals before taking any action.

But for the timely intervention of the policemen, the officer noted, the suspects would have been set ablaze.

Obinna cannibalism in India

FOR sometime now, destination India has been it for Nigerians seeking cheaper and effective medical treatment. But feelers emanating from that enclave indicate that the raging kidnap saga in the country which unwittingly is making Nigerians in diaspora suspects, as well as targets of attack, may have thwarted the usual high Indian hospitality. While many affluent Nigerians visit India to seek transplant of organs, thereby swelling Indian dealers and doctors pockets, a few are there in search of greener pastures. But now the safety for these erstwhile welcome visitors, appears in doubt following allegations of human parts dealers, man eaters-cannibal and kidnappers from the locals.

The latest sad incident involved two Nigerian men who were beaten silly by an Indian mob crowd over suspicions of kidnap and cannibalism. Since the incident last week, one question has remained on many lips: Is it a case of racism or kidnap?

National Daily Weekend gathered that the incident which at first seemed to be an aggravated misunderstanding between locals and a group of Nigerians living in Ambedkar Colony in Chhatarpur, turned ugly with the immigrants being charged by the police.

The Nigerians duo's ordeal instead of abate, really got compounded by the Indian police which intervened but chose to register a case of kidnapping against them under Section 366 of IPC within 24 hours. The south district police filed the case under this section as locals claimed the accused were allegedly trying to kidnap a boy. But legal experts have said that the section is applied only when the victim is a girl.

Obioro, 34, and his Nigerian friends, meanwhile, are angry with Delhi Police for not arriving early enough to protect them from the angry mob on the fateful Friday night. But they said the allegation against their community that they eat children has hurt them the most.

“We don't eat children. One has to be insane to say something like this”, said Francis, a Nigerian national, who stays in the building where the incident took place.

Francis and his friends said that when the incident took place the entire lane was blocked. “We couldn't escape. The mob vandalized my house and destroyed everything I had. The Indian government should do something about it.”

Odien Ajumogobia
Locals, however, said Friday's attack did not take place because of their colour, but because Obioro and his friends tried to kidnap 8-year-old Adkil, who managed to escape. “People here were just trying to protect the child. We would have done the same thing if an Indian was involved,” said Mohd Vakil, a local resident.

Obioro fractured his left leg as he jumped from the 2nd floor of the building and was beaten up by the mob. He underwent a surgery at AIIMS Trauma Centre and doctors say his condition is stable.
