In lagos Igbos are a minority this is the reality but on the internet, they come here and talk rubbish

Or them ruling lagos, You yorubas should stop believing all you see on this internet

Leave us to handle them, If lagos has an igbo governor today and there is no genocide on igbos in lagos, then it means WE see progress in him and forget tribalism

lastly blame tinubu for this

Indigenious Lagosians need the greater Yoruba population for strenght otherwise the Igbo's would have them for mince-meat. The Igbo population in Lagos is more than Indigenious Lagosians. The earlier they know this the wiser they would be when it comes to their "unwarranted utterrances."
guy stop talking dumb. we indigenes don't need any greater yoruba population

we let other yorubas to do what they need to do in lagos because They are our brothers and as such we can not discrinmate against them

also because we believe Lagos our state unites all yoruba clans. so all this population u are bring will not help u

It's easier to see or read about Awo's achievemnets, and I believe him to be the greatest indigenous administrator in Nigeria's history (my opinion).

Zik is also an achiever of note but his achievements appear to be more vain-glorious. It's more about the offices he occupied rather than anything quantifiable and tangible.

We can be proud of both.
very very well said

you see, I am someone that just don't like the priase worship of people without seeing how we all have benefitted from with they did

You are ordinary aboki, you lack coherency. In todays Nigeria how many people still remembers or talks about Murtala the way Great Ziks names rings bell
In nigeria today, they still talk of Murtala, believe it or not. Just because u don't talk of him does not mean other don't

Eziachi:
What is the criterial of naming stuff after people in Nigeria, of which Murtala excelled beyond others like Zik, Aminu Kano, Waziri Ibrahim, Awolowo etc?
I used him as an example

U all can say Murtala did not achieve much but he was given more honour than people that actually achieved

This is the mystery that needs your ancestors to explain to you. Great Zik is a Pan African, a legend who things about him will almost take the rest your life on earth to fathom. Great Zik was not ordinary like the rest of them as your Awalaowoa. As a small mind you need to ask colonial masters why Great Zik was made the first President of Nigeria, why the FG has honoured and immortalized him so much more than any other mortal in the annals of Nigerian history- the best airport in Nigeria was named after him, the 2nd to highest bank note of Nigeria, the major roads in all the major Nigerian cities if not all are names after him, his name alone appeared on the Nigerian constitution, his resting place (Onitsha, Anambra state) as well as him birthday place (Niger state) has been undertaken to by the FG unlike every other nationalist and above all he is called the Great Zik of Africa. Go and find out for yourself why all this honor for this singular individual, cause it doesn't come by chance nor laziness. These are great posers for you.
huh huh huh huh

Murtala has been given better honours

head of state

most popular note in Nigeria currency

Most used airport in West africa

major road in lagos (commercial capital) and abuja ( FCT) are name after murtala

The car he die in is used as a museum till today

etc so what is you point ?

1. The people have to demand for this welfares

2. The people have to do some riots and if possible kill those leaders making people suffer like that of ghana

and lastly and the most important, the leaders themselves have to have self control and conscience . The have to fear Allah in everything they do and put the people first
This matter doesn't really concern heebows. I don't see why you are wasting your time joining issues with them.
correct as well, this is politics and every admisnatration, all non indigenous yorubas in lagos starting from ekiti, offa, kabba to egun are represented in lagos admi. Now Tinubu has changed the balance of things

This struggle did not start today, It started 1999

In 1999, YCE decided to change things by Now allowing Indigenous Yorubas to rule lagos, thus Tinubu was elected thanks to the awori and egu agreeing to this.

In the agreement, Only yorubas should be allowed and no outsider

Tinubu broke this by putting and outer commissioner. This broke the camels back

Around 2007, The onikoyis (awori ikoyi and VI indigenes) did not like this, in the struggle, the leader die, and the first son of the place was meant to take the place ( I mean that is yoruba tradition of rulship)

Instead tinubu said the second son should be the ruler. when this was done, tinubu could raise the prices of lands in those areas. much to the disagreement of the indigenes

Now fashola is an awori and other yorubas from all other state are represented in his cabinet but what is paining them is that when any awori like bode george etc tries to control the politics of there state, and osun man like tinubu is queik to call them corupt

The real aworis don't mind this but Tinubu needs to appease there leaders or else he is breaking the code of conduct in their state.

ak47mann:
Yoruba people should stop this habit of dominating Lagos as their land, the indigenous people like aworis should not let the large migration of yorubas dominate them, how can they allow Yoruba people dominate them in the first place? angry angry
The indigenes awori allowed this, and they do not mind. Then awori is yoruba so what are you talking about

tell an awori man that he is NOT yoruba and see the way he will slap you wink

Onlytruth:
I think the Aworis should chase these thieving Yorubas back to their own part of SW. Enough of all these deceit.
They should ally with Igbo to contest under APGA in the next elections. We will vote for them. cool
then what should WE DO TO THE IGBOS when we chase our brothers away

trust me it is not going to work, unless it works against YOU people.
There should be no shock about this. The aworis and eguns have been screaming marginalization by the Lagos state government for a while now. They have not even ruled in their own state yet. It's sad if you ask me.
yes the awori have NOT been screaming marginalization

but the eguns have because awori people are selling there land but that has be resolved now

The only "President" of Igbo extraction was Ironsi, and he was there for barely 6 months and paid with his life. His ill-fated "presidency" was followed by the greatest mass murder in the history of Africa. So tell me, is that supposed to be counted as an "Igbo presidency"?
what about Nnamdi, was he not the president  ?

onlytruth forget this "greatest murder in history thing" we have passed that stage, we are brothers now

If ndi igbo want presidency 2015.

1. they should not have allowed jonathan at the first place, or better still, they should have made there intention clear

2. Now that is done, they have to make allies, Not all this ss. I mean either with the north or SW

3. It strongly depends on the candidate SE produce because there are strong contenders outside SE like david, and yes fashola

Politics › Re: Al-mustapha’s Bribery Allegation Splits Yoruba Leaders by aljharem3: 8:35am On Aug 06, 2011
Fasheun suggested that the Federal Government should set up a commission of enquiry to unravel the truth. When he was called the second time on his position, he reiterated that: “I was in the court and I saw the video clip shown. I am not a cynic.” The video tape (VHS) which was played in the court contained less than a minute’s clip of an encounter between some pro-democracy leaders, led by the late Chief Abraham Adesanya and some journalists, who asked him questions on their meeting with the then Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar.
true talk fasheun, it is good to be sure beyond all reasonable doubt that money was not collected, even though they are died, we should be sure

I mean what would it take yoruba leaders to kill ige, ade so that the truth would not leak out. Both die in the SW as far as I am concerned.

Former governor of Lagos state, Alhaji Lateef Jakande stated it is a lie by a desperate person. “I don’t believe him. It’s unbelievable because no Yoruba leader would work against Abiola. I think he (Al-Mustapha) is just a desperate person who wants to get out of his predicament but it will be very wrong for somebody to tell such lies.”
this is another possibility, he is trying to blackmail the yoruba leaders for his release

anyway we are watch, "a thousand years may pass, one day the truth woud come to light"
