Thanks. Sunday great so far.

I dont determine what goes to the home page. Admin and Supermod do. They follow this thread and they will see your recommendation. If they think it's worth being on Home Page they will put it. But note that thread from that section rarely make the home page, I guess it is because most of the threads on that section only promote or demote a section of the country and the forum would not want to be seen as promoting such threads. But Admin and Supermod have the final say.
Thank you for the responds. well understood

Culture › Re: What Is The Absolute Best Way To Learn The Igbo Langauge? Tips? Suggestions? by aljharem3: 9:19pm On Jul 17, 2011
The best way to learn Igbo is to go to Igbo speaking land itself. That why you can learn and recognise phrases and words.

With the above post, it clearly shows that ibo people are so incompetent and lack sense of worth, they don't know how to and can not honor their own heroes.

Yoruba people have to do it for them,

Shameless people,
you don't have to generalise a whole ethnic group

just leave some of them to their shallow brains

Actually, the trouble in Yoruba land long died,  Egbas don't fight Ilorin lol ,  I think you are adding your own troubles there hahahahaha

Ileke idi can't act as if there is no trouble in Ekiti seriously,  All it will take for the percieved trouble in Yoruba land will be for the kings to swallow their prides,

The trouble basically isn't among the people at all. It's just among new generation politically motivated monarchs who really don't have any idea what their roles are,

Please, I don't know about OPC and their trouble (I'm serious I don't) I didn't pay attention at all when the trouble was on,

The trouble about Dividing Nigeria seriously isn't from Yoruba land,  Instead it lies in places with high concentration of smaller groups,

There is absolutely nothing wrong with those small groups having their own nation really. Eritrea is smaller than Kwara state lol,

In all honesty, we all need our spaces not just to grow but to also have respect for each other.

The more we stay in the union, the more we disrespect each other and severe the lineage that actually binds us together which is Africanism

No nation is too small Alj Harem,  Our goals keep hindering each other in many ways. Ones a Yoruba man messes up, the entire tribe face persecution.

Let's be honest, when Obasanjo messed up, how many Yoruba man pointed to him being an Egba man? None, they simply accepted a Yoruba man messed up (That's to show you no discord among Yorubas to an extent of mistrust)

The political/territorial persecutions the Northerners face are a result of what the past Northern leaders did,

I believe dividing Nigeria is a coward's way of making things better but it does make things better truly and people will rather be guilty of cowardice in this situation,

If you read about the civil war, the same events leading to the civil war are playing out again. (Political mistrust, killing of non indigenes in the North etc, )

I don't think the nation will survive another civil war if any is to break out,

All different tribes deserve a nation on their own seriously. Our interactions with each other on a political level is bringing nothing but hate,

Our interaction going from power to political affect other innocent platforms of interactions which includes economical and socio-cultural.

The effects of these interaction not being strictly based on the innocent interactions above has led to the mess we now call Nigeria,

The Igbos will never ever forget the civil war because I don't think any tribe in Nigeria has experienced death on such a massive scale let's be honest here,

I understand Igbos some times when they are paranoid, cry babies and whiners seriously! Death on such scale is genocidal extinction.

Do you think they can trust any but themselves? What Nigeria has done is unite the Igbos more I don't think Igbos were that general in tribal issues before

Even uptill now, you'll see some clans in Igbo still disagree with each other in politics but in the big picture, Igbos remain ONE just like Yorubas, Ijaw, Hausas  etc,

The only platform we have to legitimately disrespect ourselves, hinder each other's goals, take over others' land etc,  is Nigeria and that is why it can't work,

Obviously if we can put all that aside, and fight for another region like you would yours, Nigeria will be great!

But untill something brainwashes us to trust each other again, it can not happen,

When you look at the level at which average Nigerians interact with each other, you will know that the problem is in the big picture not on the streets,

I have dined with Igbo people much more than I have Yorubas and in all honesty, they are loveable for their uniqueness seriously.

Our problem is in the big picture. Yorubas have a common goal, Hausas have a common goal, Igbos have a common goal, Ijaws have a common goal etc,

The problem is each tribe's big picture can not be painted in green and white alone.

Unless each tribe is allowed to go look for the ink with which they will paint their tribe's big picture, we will always get in the ways of others when they are looking for green and white!!!!

I hope you understand Alj Harem,  I personally, it's not that I'll like Nigeria to just divide like that, but the division has been there since the inception of Nigeria.

Nigeria was born with this division it wasn't a process.

If only people can see Boko Haram as a Nigerian problem, if only people can actually respect the constitution and not bring religious bigotry into the nation and disrespect our beautiful B.I.B.L.E (The constitution).
sorry for the late reply

point well taken an understood

Ok my brother i would give u a senario

In china today, we have tibet, cantoneses and marginaese. Have they divided ? NO

^^^^ Anuofia mention achievements of Awalawo, if not for the fake education he gave to you guys doing nothing. What has those fake profs in the yorubaland contributed to the economic and technological advancement of SWhuh?? Here in Nnewi, Anambra state somebody is manufacturing vehicles for home and export uses and your here talking about achievement. Great Zik was among the world class leaders as George Washington, its even an insult mentioning Zik's name and Awalaowo on the same sentence, because Awalaowo was not up to Zik's scholars and followers. Awalawo was just a rural local champion of Yorubas at that time, he was able to be know in his cave region of SW because he was the only 'educated' person in the entire yoorobaland with primary school education, while Zik had already gone to US to pursue university education. By the time Zik returned back to Nigeria with first class multi-degrees, Awalaowo was yet to complete his secondary education, no wonder he got his university degree at the old age of 75. What a lost Yoruba tribe
chino calm down

I have come to the conclusion that the Yorubas on Nairaland do not represent the views of the average Yoruba. Yesterday, I was having a discussion about Nigeria at my cousin's graduation cookout and they shared the same views of the Igbos who were at the event. That Nigeria needs a split between North and South.

My Igbo brothers do not pay attention to these Yoruba posters. They do not represent the views of their brothers. I can see this clearly now.
you want a southern nigeria and yet on ur signature u added "igboist" instead of "southern nigeria" and u expect yorubas and ijaws to love that

i dey laff ooo
