You can do it on your own
You don't need any solicitor
2months is still fresh

Go to the fraudsters bank

They'll direct you to the court

I prefer magistrate court

You'll be charged 10% of the total amount owed. A court order will be issued to you.

Take it back to the bank, the fraudsters account will be freezed. Any attempt for him to make a transfer will be impossible.

Any money that's in his account will be reverted to you till it's complete

It happened in June this year, he deserted, tried calling him it was unreachable, His family and the police didn't help either.

I got the idea of complaining to his bank, I went to his bank on August (Access bank) they asked me why I didn't come all these while that he withdrew the last part of the money 4 days before I came!!! E pain me shaa o

The customer care directed me to court to get a court order to restrict the account, I went to court, got the court order(pics displayed) paid them 10% of the total money. The bank restricted his account.

Yesterday afternoon, I got a call to come over to the bank...the guy was trying to make a transfer but he couldn't which warranted him to go to the bank...
The customer care told me he has 80% of the money in his account that with my consent, they'll unfreeze it and pay me or I can wait till it's complete and take all... they were certain because it's a salary account... money must enter.

Though the guy pleaded with me to be paying 20k monthly buy omooorr I don't think I'll have such patience. The bank told him to be paying the 20k into his account till it completes.

so the ball is now in my court

All thanks to Access bank
That's the way to go. That creep should be spending some time in jail on a good day! Just imagine that...running off with your hard-earned money while still living in Kano which is the same state where you are based. He's such an ode.

Of all the levels in the value chain above, level 3-5 make the highest return on investment (ROI). In most cases, they also hold the commodity for the shortest time frame and often experience immediate profit or loss as the case may be.

Of those three levels, the marketers/middlemen are king, often times dictating the price especially if they have stakes in the other levels as well

Mstravelindiva:
Side trip/note: As you may know, I’ll be visiting Abuja soon (super excited)!

I just flew to Los Angeles to get my biometrics for my Nigerian Tourist visa. This also required an overnight stay and lodging. The costs to visit Nigeria is expensive as many may already know. I say this for any that are not aware of just how difficult it can be for “tourists” to visit Nigeria, which can be a deterrent. I know Nigeria doesn’t depend on tourism dollars, but it’s shame because I still believe it’s a beautiful country, with beautiful people, and has so much to offer. It would make a great tourist destination and make a huge impact on the economy and the unemployment rate.

It’s a hassle with a capital H to even renew your Nigerian passport abroad, so honestly I actually don’t blame those living in diaspora holding off until they have citizenship and simply applying for a tourist visa (which still requires you to travel to biometric center out of state but faster process) before they can aboard to come back to visit.

At any rate, I had never tried Nigeria cuisine in California before, but I was able to order and have delivered (DoorDash) to my hotel, some tasty pounded yam, egusi soup with cow tail, beef and tripe which pretty good and I wanted to share.

Nigeria is loved by so many, and what a blessing it is to enjoy your beautiful culture worldwide.

Peace and blessings my friends!
That's awesome... Having someone on the ground to guide you would make navigating the sites and sounds of Abuja easy. Are you headed for Lagos State from there or you'll let it pass till some other time?

As an American woman of African descent, it will be easy for you to mingle with the crowd but don't make your American accent too strong or very obvious so that some folks don't jack up prices of raw foods or souveniers arbitrarily.

You've got to be rugged or streetwise in certain instances or locations in Nigeria. Due dilligence is the keyword, and you'll have some fun time.

Second, that pounded yam and egusi delivered via DoorDash in California looks like the "real deal." You sure had a great time no doubt. Lol.

Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your weekend!

Hey Nairalanders, it’s Ms Travelin Diva and I just returned from San Francisco. I was in the Bay Area for a few days and below are the deets (slang for details) of my trip!

Lodged at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco which is across the street from the ferry building which made it VERY convenient if you’re going to be taking the ferry to any of the neighboring islands.

Day 1:
Took Ferry to Sausalito (Cost is $7.50 pp w/Clipper Card each way)
Enjoyed an amazing cup of vanilla lavender lattes at Firehouse
We toured the Sausalito Fire department, they even allowed the kids to take a ride around the block in the fire engine trucks, very cool!
Enjoyed lunch at Zalta where we had THE BEST sangrias, followed by delish tequila cocktails at “the unknown bar”
Took the ferry back to San Francisco right before sunset, and enjoyed dinner and cocktails at Hog Island Oysters Co, the best oysters hands down in the Bay Area!
Later that night, I enjoyed a late nightcap at Wilson & Wilson detective agency (it’s a speakeasy - secret bar) and the drinks were VERY good and vibe and atmosphere was so lit!

Stay tuned for day 2!

Pic 1 is very from my hotel balcony
Pic 2 view from the ferry boat as we left San Francisco headed to Sausalito
Pic 3 port of San Francisco ferry boat entryway
Pic 4 is view of Sausalito at its port of entry
How's it going Mstravelindiva? You're back to posting.

Great sights, cuisines and drinks from the San Francisco area. wink

Would have loved to live there but
it's within the earthquake belt with a major tectonic fault line (San Andreas).

There have been forecasts that
parts of California will get torn off
due to violent plate tectonics
movements and disappear into the
Pacific in the future. There's
something that keeps drawing more folks to do business and live there...

Still an awesome place for anyone
to visit... Just waltz in, enjoy yourselves, and waltz out. grin

SOURCE: https://wrnts.com/the-rising-trend-of-extreme-marriage-proposals-in-russia/

Extreme marriage proposals, which include staging a drug bust and hiring fake armed forces, are on the rise in Russia.

Sergei Rodkin is the founder of “The SpezNas Show”, a “prank” company that hires ex-military personnel to act out pretend “raids” for events ranging from children’s birthdays, company parties and marriage proposals.

A BBC video of one such prank went viral last week, showing a young woman being proposed to after she had fake drugs put into her bag and was interrogated by a group of balaclava-wearing armed police.

While the young woman looked visibly shocked, she later revealed she wasn’t “angry”. She also said yes to the marriage proposal.

A psychologist explains that people are more likely to say yes to the proposal because they want the heightened and stressful situation to end as soon as possible.
Lol... heightened sex*al tension, Russia style.wink

Wow you guessed correctly, I basically can't do without my stochastic RSI, 200Ema and ATR ,,,

just take this 3 indicators and blend it with a sound understanding of Market structure.....

1H is my main timeframe, 200ema gives me trend direction, I go to the 5min to place my trades on the pullback of the trend on the 1Hr, stochastic RSI gives me alerts, ATR for stoploss

All you need do is turn on your laptop, set your tradingview alerts, wait for your entry and cashout your profits... Wash, rinse, repeat

I trade with infinox occasionally when I want my money wired in USD to avoid overspending, but they've got horrible spreads with an annoying account officer that calls me every day ...

My go-to broker is deriv,, I feel they basically don't have spreads on all their Forex pairs both major and minor,,,, only in their basket indices which is the only synthetics I trade have I seen slightly wide spreads,,, maybe because the basket indices are exactly identical to the real Forex market

My strategy is explained in depth in this book

Wish you goodluck bro, keep milking the markets till death do you part
Your feedback is filled with insights and clarity! I like the fact that you keep it simple with the indies not cluttering your charts, and thanks for the book recommendation. I'll read it up because continuous education is the key to success in the markets and in life.

I've been a veteran member of NL since 2005 with my older moniker, and I'm still here because NL is good for data mining and research.
I don't usually visit this thread and the previous ones, but what made me to post here for the first time this year is the back-and-forth convos on the merits and demerits of trading. The dudes who were saying negatives about trading missed the whole point! You can't become a great and intuitive pilot who is licensed to fly a particular model of aircraft if you don't fly a required number of hours... and go for flight simulations. What makes these folks who say trading is a scam created by the Oyinbos (White folks) think that they can succeed in the markets without doing the time? Let them get into a car, an aircraft, or whatever, without the knowledge of how to navigate, and see if they'll not crash badly.

In the over 17 years that I've had contact with the financial markets, I've used Ichimoku, pivot points,
ADX among several indicators and strategies, and got burned seriously back in the day from losses and have learned to keep it simple! Losses shake your entire being, and humble you to see clearly. If there is no price action strength in the markets as well... Stay out!

Then always move your stop losses to break-even when in significant profit to keep you calm as originally stated by Mark Douglas in his iconic book, "Trading in the Zone."

"May the force of evolution be with you." Happy trading for life.smiley

Cheers.

Saving in dollar is not necessarily better than a 20% per annum investment in Naira. No assurances that the value of dollar against the Naira will rise up to 20% in one year.

At a current rate of N590/$1, Naira needs to fall all the way down to N780 at the end of one year to equal a 20% per annum investment. Even if one dollar is sold for N780 after one year, you haven't earned more than the guy who invested in Naira at 20%.

RomanceRe: How To talk to a woman by AlphaTaikun: 6:15pm On Oct 06, 2022
swiftz:
How to Talk to a Woman

Taking a girl out on a date already says a lot. But this whole business is not just about seducing someone. You must gain the confidence and trust of the person sitting at the other end of the table. More than that, you must make her feel good in your presence and even want more. How to do this? Simple! When you're not flirting with her just let her take control for a while.

Always keep in mind that women's favorite subject is themselves. This little "bug" in their software gives men a big advantage in a conversation and that is curiosity. Yet, only few use it because of the misconceptions surrounding curiosity in general. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but when a conversation between a man and a woman is concerned, I don't think it ever hurt anyone. What I'm trying to say is that if she says something that makes you curious,  just ask her! This will tell her that you are interested in her person. Nevertheless, watch out for those not so discreet questions that could turn you into a cat and get you killed.

Another thing most men forget is that women, even the prettiest, disregard themselves. If you discovered something about her that you really like make sure she can feel your admiration. This rule applies to anything from the color of her eyes to the way she back-parked her car for example. Still, try to use original ways to make compliments and remember that you'll receive the most "points" for cherishing her intelligence.

Always listen to her when she talks! Sounds too obvious? Maybe, but the key thing is that it counts less if you've been really listening to her as long as she thinks you weren't. Therefore you can use several tricks like saying confirmation phrases ("I see", "yes" etc.) showing that you're following her. Just don’t do it so much that she mistakes you for her shrink. Re-telling what she just said is another useful skill as long as you don't abuse it. You simply rephrase what she said and she'll know you got the point. Nevertheless it can be very annoying if you overuse it.

And, as I mentioned earlier, when she makes you curious about something just ask her! This proves you were listening in the first place. The same happens when you make a compliment based on something she just said.

But curiosity can also be used whenever you run out of topics in a conversation. Every woman is curious by nature so all you have to do is to stir her curiosity and forget all about you running out of interesting subjects or her getting bored.

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Civil War: The Igbos Drew First Blood. by AlphaTaikun:
TonyeBarcanista:
I have big problem with the emboldened because they run contrary to fact on ground.

While I don't wish to make any comment on the event that led to the civil war and those during the civil (they are overflogged already), I believe it is good to make position without deliberate or ignorant effort to mislead the public.

1. The Defunct Eastern region (which consists of present day SE and SS excluding Edo and Delta states) was NOT unified. There were already agitation for a referendum to be held in Rivers state (present day Rivers and Bayelsa) and also in Cross River/Ogoja (present day Cross river and Akwa Ibom states) even before the referendum that was held in Midwest region (Now Delta and Edo states). The ruling government in Enugu refused that to be granted but the agitation continued.

The creation of states was a masterstroke by the Gowon government to grant statehood to the people of these aforementioned areas, something they had agitated. This to this end is one reason (among many) the people distant themselves from Biafra after it was declared and even defended their land.

History has it that Ijaw leaders and those of other "minorities" asked the Biafra promoters that what will be the status of them in the new country if they align, the response they got was that the status remained unchanged. This is another reason for Biafra rejection.

2. After the January 1966 coup that killed the PM, Ijaw/Rivers activist and former policeman Isaac Adaka Boro saw that the hope of referendum in Rivers was gone because as at then the PM was sympathetic to the cause (perhaps for political reasons). Boro led Ijaw youths to carve out all Ijaw territories and then declared Niger Delta Republic in February 1966. Though the republic was crushed after 12 days (as Boro surrendered), it remained the FIRST secessionist movement in post independent Nigeria.

Pls, let's get right our facts. Thank you!!!
True that! Nicely put.

In a 1999 Guardian interview in Port Harcourt, the father of modern Ijaw nationalism [and ex-King's College Lagos Island graduate, who also hailed from Bonny Island], Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye said it was he, Ken Saro-Wiwa and the Rivers Leaders of Thought [in a series of meetings with General. Gowon in Lagos from 1966 to 1967] that gave General Yakubu Gowon the idea to create 12 new states on
May 27, 1967!

So these FACTS clearly debunk the deluded lies and propaganda of some young Ibo revisionists (that I encountered on and off NL from
2017) that it was Gen. Yakubu Gowon and Chief Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, that unilaterally took the decision to create the 12 new
states to weaken the so-called unity of the Old Eastern Region.

It was the rejection by Col. Ojukwu of the May 27, 1967 creation of 12 new states (3 new states from the Old Eastern Region) by Gen. Gowon's government that led Ojukwu to declare secession 3 days later on May 30, 1967 without a referendum or major input by the over 5 million non-Ibo ethnicities in the Old Eastern Region.

The forceful incorporation of non-Ibo ancestral lands of the Annangs, Efiks, Ijaws, Ibibios, Ogonis, Ejegbams, etc, into the illegally created "biafra" by Ojukwu, and the brutalization of non-Ibo minorities by his rebel goons triggered the full start of the Nigerian Civil War of July 1967 to January 1970 (exactly 2 years and 6 months with an official Nigerian, UN, and Relief agencies total of 1.5 million max civilian and combat military lives lost) and it made many Nigerian minorities to join the Nigerian army, navy, and airforce to push the majorly Ibo rebels out of their lands.

The Mid-West invasion by the majority Ibo rebels made more Bendelites of various ethnicities (Bini and Esan-Edos, Isokos, Ikas, Ukwuanis, Itsekiris, Urhobos, Ijaws, etc.) to join the military war effort during the Nigerian Civil War, according to a 2014 or 2015 Sunday Punch newspaper interview by the gallant Colonel Paul Ogbebor [the first Nigerian to be enrolled into the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA. ] who fought during the war and almost lost his life via heavy rebel gunfire during the Nigerian army boat crossing of River Niger to liberate Onitsha.

Even the UN and OAU NEVER recognised the ill-advised secession by Ojukwu who did so based on his youthful exhuberance as an early
30s young man.

The international finance system also rejected the usage of the worthless so-called "biafra" pounds to make international purchases of
weapons, and this is the reason why the rebels had to continue using the Nigerian pounds that had seized in 1967 from the Central Bank
offices and from returnee Ibos and locally-based citizens of the defunct Eastern Region.

Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye also took a heavy swipe at the Ibo political and military leaders in the 1960s for wanting to dominate the
minorities and Nigerians by denying the actualisation of the COR state movement agitations which started in the 1950s, and the
promulgation of the unification Decree 33 of 1966 by Gen. Ironsi which unified the Nigerian Civil Service, and saw the immediate
deployment of Ibos to all parts of Nigeria in the obnoxious attempt to dominate the civil service.

Fortunately, I scanned the explosive Harold Dappa-Biriye 1999 Guardian interview, and later uploaded it to one of my Google Drives. If I
have the time, I'll search for the interview and upload it here on NL. Facts are sacred.

All the best.

I don't why anyone would assume I spend more money on makeup and data... This girls can barely even feed. Make-up and gadgets are afar off.

I had no intentions to spark up a gender divide with the comparison to condoms (both genders benefit from condoms). I think the need for one to be politically correct all the time is too much a burden for me. The comparison is honest and the basis are founded on health.

Condoms are for the prevention of STIs, STDs and as well as pregnancy.

Pads help with prevention of many women related health issues and also aid the process of a healthy pregnancy.

I greatly appreciate those who made meaningful contributions
