PediakAuthor: There's something about every Chess gameplay; you'll always learn from every defeat and you'll also learn from every victory. Relatively, ups and downs are quite inevitable in every facet of life, sequel to this notion, amidst the numerous defeats, here are some of my victorious checkmates on Lichess Lobby - just within three weeks.
However, first and foremost, I find it quite pivotal to take few seconds to commend the brains behind the Lichess concepts - reason being that, amidst the "wins and fails" - the platform has been quite educative within the said meantime.
Lest I forget, the most fascinating gameplay I've ever seen on Lichess was Magnus' checkmate on another GM @ 0.03 seconds to timeout; massive respect for that! The experience still lingers, and the moral lessons therein is for humans to appreciate the value of every given second - not to talk of the endless time.
In summary, some of my listed 50+ checkmate moves would undoubtedly serve as a guide to Chess Learners/Players out there; most especially my Queen-Knight Line of Approach (QKLOA) - which I've actually deployed to edge some fast checkmates countless times during previous online/offline games.
Hey! Merry Christmas to y'all from the NETISM Author. Here's a documentary of 50+ Checkmate details, perhaps, his season's gift to Chess players out there.
So, I run short-lets in Lekki and last night I got a booking alert from Booking.com that Mr. Scott booked our 4-bedroom apartment for 30 nights at a rate of $180/night. So for 30days + tax, he was expected to pay $5,914 and check in today. Naturally, I was excited! Something in my head rang a bell… why did a single guest book a 4-bedroom apartment?
Anyway, shortly after the booking, Oga Scott sent me a message inquiring about the security of the apartment. Then he went further to say that this was his first visit to Naija and he wants us to arrange airport pickup. I told him we normally do not do airport pickups, but he said he will pay for the service when he arrives at the apartment. That we should please arrange it.
One thing to note, he hadn’t paid the $5,914. He just made a reservation online. He said he will pay at check-in. This is not unusual with booking.com. We have had multiple guests that reserved online and paid at check-in.
Shortly after our conversation, I sent him the details of the driver that will pick him up, I even sent him a picture of the driver. He said he was grateful and will land today by 1pm. Shortly after that, he sent me his itinerary. From his itinerary, I could see he was flying with Egypt Air.
This morning, the dude sent me a picture and said this is how he looks this morning. He said he was sending the picture so the driver will be able to easily identify him.
At 1:15pm, he buzzed me and said he just landed and was approaching immigration to process his visa on arrival.
45mins later, I got a call from my wife. She told me that Mr. Scott called her and said he has a problem with the immigration people at the airport.
What is the problem? I asked
“He needs to pay for his visa and do not have dollars or naira to pay for it.” My wife replied.
“He said they told him that he needs to change the currency he brought into dollars or Naira to pay for the visa fees.” My wife went on to explain
“let him go and change money naaaa”.. I queried
“He cannot leave the immigration area until he pays the visa fees.” She went on to explain.
“He is begging that we should assist him. I spoke with the immigration lady and she said we should transfer the naira to her, and she will process his visa. The lady just sent the account number” . my wife went on.
What is the guest saying? I asked. He said that as soon as he leaves the immigration area, he will change money and pay us.
“Ok go ahead and make the transfer,” I said and dropped the call. Immediately after I dropped the call, my brain exploded…. “IT’S A SCAM”
I quickly called back my wife … she picked on the first ring.
“Don’t pay a dime! It’s a scam.” I quickly told her. Luckily, she hadn’t made the transfer.
How do you know? she asked
How can you travel to Nigeria without a currency that our immigration people will accept? I replied
If it's his first time in Naija, someone invited him. Let him call the person for help.
Then through a friend, we contacted a contact inside the airport. Please go to passport control and see if there is anyone there with payment issues.
Oga there is no one here ooo. All the passengers have passed through!
Meanwhile, we called the immigration lady back, have you made the payment? She asked…
Where are you? we are sending someone inside the airport to resolve the situation. We said We are in the immigration area; they won’t allow your person to come here.
Madam don’t worry, our person has access to the immigration area. ....and she cut the call.
We called madam back no response. We called Mr. Scott no response.
And that was how Mr. Scott failed in trying to scam N68,000 from me today.
I am just wondering the number of people that were at the airport today to pick up Mr. Scott and then transferred 68k to Madam Immigration.

A Lagos drug baron, Akindele Kumoluyi a.k.a. Ile-Eru is to spend the next 10 years behind bars.
The sentence was handed down this morning by the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos after the accused drug baron pleaded guilty to two count of criminal charges of importation of illegal drugs, and aiding and abetting a courier to import illegal drugs.
Initially, Akindele, who was standing trial before Justice Tijani Abubakar, pleaded not guilty to charges against him.
However, this morning he changed his plea from not guilty to guilty after the charges were read to him.
In the first charge, Kumoluyi was accused of importing 10 kilogrammes of cocaine while in the second charge, he was accused of aiding Abdul Fatai Olori, to import a consignment of illegal substances from Brazil.
The charge was filed by the NDLEA Director of Prosecution and Legal Practices, Femi Oloruntoba, who urged the court to convict him as charged.
In his plea for leniency, the counsel to the convicted baron, Wahab Shittu, said the court should be lenient because he lost his father during his incarceration.
The counsel said Ile Eru has an aged mother who is over 80 years, and she has been traumatised by this case, adding that the convict has had no contact with his wives and 10 children and that the children’s education has been affected.
Shittu further appealed to the court to be lenient. He cited Mathew 6 : 9, Mark 10 and likened the case of the convicted baron to that of a prodigal son.
In his own reaction, Mr. Oloruntoba told the court that the convict had no previous record of conviction.
In his judgement, Justice Tijani Abubakar said the allocutus of Shittu is unprecedented and asked when he became Pastor and Imam.
Consequently he sentenced the convict to 20 years imprisonment, five years for each count charge, to run concurrently from the day of his arrest.

Your life changes into a new phase the moment you make the decision to get married. Married life comes with its own advantages and disadvantages.
I am not going to dwell on the pros and cons of marriage. But I need you to know that marriage requires a lot of sacrifices from both parties involved. And that the benefits are far higher than the disadvantages.
My concern in this article is to highlight 3 important and critical steps that are necessary when moving from bachelorhood to marriage life.
Trust me, there are a lot of steps involved in the process of getting married but I have put together in this article three fundamental steps that are crucial and necessary.
3 Fundamental Steps for Getting Married for Bachelors
#1. Move out of your parents’ house
This is a brutal fact that shouldn’t be polished. You should consider moving out of your parents’ or family house the very moment you decide to get married.
Starting your own family require that you should have some basic home appliances. Ranging from furniture, kitchen utensils and other basic items.
From experience, staying with your parents have a way of discouraging you from buying personal properties needed to start life.
The financial burden being placed on you by your family can be overbearing especially when you are staying with them. Sometimes they depend solely on you that they may not want to engage themselves in any money making venture simply because they know that you are always there to provide their needs.
Staying alone also help you to know your true financial capabilities. It helps you to know if you can be able to bring in someone into your life and at the same time pay the person’s bills.
#2. Prepare yourself
Never make the mistake of dabbling into marriage with any form of preparation. I am sure that you wouldn’t want to call it a quit after a few months of getting married.
Getting married requires some level of preparations. It could be emotionally, spiritually and even financially.
Read books or consult marriage counsellors to help guide you make the right decisions ahead of marriage.
I recommend you read this book: Things I wish I’d Known Before We Got Married by Gary Chapman.
#3. Start a relationship
Gone are those days when out of nowhere our parents will just spring up with a woman for us to marry. Nowadays, we make our choices and we live with it whether good or bad.
Being in a relationship gives you the opportunity to get to know the person before making the decision to settle down with the woman or not.
I know that we have to work hard to make ourselves financially capable to handle marriage expenditures. But we shouldn’t get so busy to the extent that there wouldn’t be time to get to meet and know the right life partner.
The long and short is that having a relationship avails you the window to evaluate your compatibility with your future partner if carefully utilized.
Lastly, never go into a relationship with a woman with the hope of marrying her. Instead, start off with an open mind.
Having an open mind will help you to see both the good and bad side of her and guide you into making an unbiased decision.

aktolly54: I used to work for adron homes and property before I quit due to stress of the job. Adron also do the same thing but you will definitely get your land not like revolution property. The issue is the marketer fault for not telling the person they will pay developmental fee which is always same amount with the land price in most cases but you will see the breakdown of the money. Buying land for 2m and be asked to pay 1.5m as developmental fee, that's how most property company operate. In years to come, you will understand and enjoy your money. I will advise anyone tto deal with adron homes and property aany day any time
StagethemTVee: A young Nigerian man by the name of Ahmed has been busted for defrauding his elderly host in America less than 6 months after arriving in the country and their house.
Ahmed was using the social security number of his benefactor (an elderly man) to set up accounts and request various bank cards which he used for online purchases.
He is seen in the video initially denying after which he knelt down to beg claiming he was sorry.
White007: Asiwaju is a Muslim and ordinarily represents the Muslim divide. Why then the insistence that yet another Muslim would have to pair with him? The reason is simple: Asiwaju does not represent the Muslim North. Put differently, the core Northern Muslims do not believe that Asiwaju represents them from a religious perspective.
The current APC federal government has played up religion as a high negative energy to divide the country like never before. That is why the Christian divide will not ignore the Muslim-Muslim ticket this time around even though a block in the APC North led by El Rufai strongly believes it does not matter.
Furthermore, the Muslim-Muslim ticket kite they fly also suggests that the APC Christian political leaders of the North have no electoral value. It is really surprising that among the APC Northern Christian leaders, none is considered qualified enough to pair up with Tinubu to respect and maintain the delicate religious balance in the country. To the likes of El Rufai, men like Boss Mustafa, a fine gentleman with an unblemished record and currently Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) is unqualified.
It is a form of religious intolerance to even contemplate a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the first place.
Nigeria does NOT belong to you Christians and Muslims alone and there are other millions of Nigerians who practice other faiths. This is the reason why I consider it VERY INSULTING that you guys have shared Nigeria into a Muslim and Christian thing.
Too many lies have been told that it is ONLY Muslims and Xtians that are the religious groups in Nigeria. There are many Traditional Religions in Nigeria such as the Yoruba religion of Ifa (which is globally recognised as far as Brazil, U.S.A, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, etc), adherants of Eckankar, Buddhism, Grail Movement, Bahai faith, Hindus, etc, which are practiced by millions of Nigerians who don't engage in this sorts of propaganda that especially you Christians and some Muslims keep playing.
You guys have to STOP this display of ABSOLUTE mediocrity based on religion. Vote competence that will lead to disruptive innovation! Period!
NgeneUkwenu: We need competent hands to move this country forward.
I will even advise Tinubu to choose a Traditionalist this time. This country is not meant for Christains and Muslims alone
Nigeria is a multi-religious country with many faiths. It is very insulting to see especially SOME Xtians freaking out over the religion of an APC VP. Nigeria does NOT belong to Xtians and Muslims alone! There are millions of Nigerians who belong to other religious faiths SUCH as the Yoruba religion of Ifa which is practiced globally especially in the U.S., Brazil, Cuba, Benin, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, etc, Grail Message, Buddhists, Eckankar, Bahai, and many more indigenous Nigerian traditional religions and faiths.... and this nonsense back-and-forth from some SIMPLETONS has to STOP!
Basorun MKO Abiola and Babagana Kingibe of the SDP were Muslims and Nigerians trooped out to vote in 1993 and I withnessed the enthusiasm that year to vote the Military out of power!
Ending the insecurity that has engulfed the entire West African Sahel Region, reduction in commodities inflation, boosting agribusiness, education, health, innovative technologies, etc, are the things required from anyone who will take over from the next government in 2023, NOT religious affiliation of a President or VP. Period.
HarlequinLekex: A Nigeria man is currently running a very clean, modern and popular 'mama put' resturant in a london street called SPITAL FIELDS.
-THE man identified as Azeez said he started the resturant called 2 Nig boys with the other friend but that he now does it alone.

ogbiwa: A woman has issued a warning after she allegedly found 10 creepy spy cameras concealed around a rental property she booked on Airbnb.
The traveller shared her "scary ordeal" after realising there was cameras "hidden all over the house" during her stay in Philadelphia, USA.
The Twitter user named @foxytaughtyou said people "should be cautious" and said, "some were disguised as sprinkler systems."
She was left severely creeped out when her friend reportedly came across more "in the showers and bedrooms."
She said the platform moved them to another property after they alerted Philadelphia police.
Airbnb have since offered her a refund but claim police have told them they found no hidden cameras at the property.
The woman tweeted on June 13: “We reported this to [Airbnb] and to the police station Friday noon and still have not had a update on this case.
“We have no idea what footage this owner has and what he is doing with it!
“This is so UNSAFE, and scary! Thank God we noticed the cameras and got out of there!”
In a video on TikTok, the pair said they fell asleep on the sofa and discovered the cameras on the ceiling when they woke up.
She added: “We were creeped out and we decided to look everywhere in the Airbnb, all over the ceiling, and see if there’s any more cameras.
The woman tweeted on June 13: “We reported this to [Airbnb] and to the police station Friday noon and still have not had a update on this case.
“We discovered that the sprinklers had a camera lens. We got on the chair and we did a flash test on these sprinklers and they are cameras.”
A spokesperson for Airbnb told The Independent: “Our policies strictly prohibit hidden cameras and we take forceful action in the exceptionally rare circumstances where this has been reported, including assisting law enforcement to help them hold criminals accountable.
“In this case, our Safety team has suspended this Host and removed this listing from our platform while we thoroughly investigate this report. We are also providing support to our guest, including a full refund.”
Airbnb has since confirmed to the Daily Star that police investigators are planning to close the case.
However, the company said they will still support the customer and issue them a refund.
"We have thoroughly looked into this allegation as we do for all safety reports," the spokesperson said.
"Today, we spoke directly with the lead detective from the Philadelphia Police Department who responded to the complaint and investigated the property.
"He confirmed that he did not find any hidden or undisclosed cameras and that the fire sprinklers had regular sprinklerheads.
"The detective also confirmed that they plan to close this case."
ArchiLimited: Sincerely whenever I check into a new hotel room these days, I first switch off the lights and scan the room with my phone camera. So many sick people out there today.
Modified For the questions regarding how to detect a hidden camera, most cameras emit infrared radiation which is not visible to the naked eye but your phone's lens can pick it up as a blue whitish light if you hold it close enough. Switching off the room light helps you spot it better when the room is dark. Hope this helps. There are also downloadable apps that are tailor made for detecting cameras. Pakute: Obi the fraud, they said he left PDP because he wouldn't share money but same Obi delightfully accepted to be Atiku's VP and contested under same party four years ago. Did he not know that dollars exchanged hands during the convention that threw up his boss, Atiku? If Wike had promised to help him clinch the ticket, I'm very sure he would not have ran away to Labour.
Deji should support a sick-old-despotic-corrupt politician just because he is his tribesman?
Ani oponu ni most of you guys.
Same Tinubu that couldn't stand up for Yorubas at Ondo state, at Oyo state or at Ogun state against Fulani killers?
From Yar'adua to Buhari . . . and you guys are still rooting for another Parkinson president?
Shey wọn Ṣ'epe fún yi ni?
Suffering no dey tire una?
The brilliant Chartered Accountant, 'Bola Tinubu and other folks with hand and/body tremors will be fine. There is a curative treatment for Parkinson's already. A relation of mine also has hand tremors which would end within a few days of treatment.
Without that, I would have been against Tinubu's participation in the Presidential elections. Period.
9jii: I'm Northerner and into politics since 2003, I live all my life here. Atiku will surely get more votes than Tinubu in the North But not with wide margin. Tinubu will pass kwankwaso with wide margin. He ll have more than 30% in all the North western states. Kwara and kogi will be more than. Kwankwasiyya is only in kano and can't win more than 2 local government. Please hit me back when the election is over to see who's delusional
Save me your tears to bath for BAT inauguration day.
Trizzi: Africa's richest woman Mrs Folorunsho Alakija is set to become the owner of the most expensive building in West Africa, if not Africa. Famfa Towers is currently being built on Alfred Rewane Road in Ikoyi Lagos.
The 22-floor edifice will set the billionaire oil mogul back a whooping N60billion or $165million but at a networth of nearly $3billion, it shouldn't be a problem for the former fashion designer who is said to be financing the project herself with no loans from any bank.
Over N6billion has already been pumped into Famfa Towers as building begins. The one-of-kind Tower will be used for commercial purposes. The last five floors is said to be for Mrs Alakija's personal use, possibly for her office and the rest will be rented out to people who can afford it.
EmagNig: One of the richest women in Africa, Folorunso Alakija has made a revelation about her life that not so many people know of. According to the billionaire, she was able to achieve greatness in life even without a University degree.
Folorunso Alakija took to Instagram to share this piece and she also opened up that she is the 8th child in her family of about 52 children.
Soyinka co-founded a confraternity. Many more confraternities came up thereafter, but they were for protecting student interests and rights. It was the military that began to arm certain elements to break up student protests, especially during the time of Babangida. As you know, when you arm miscreants, it is always hard to disarm them.
Very well said.
Wole Soyinka's Pyrates was perfectly legal on the UI campus!
There are also many confraternities in U.S. Universities as well and they are perfectly legit.
A former U.S. President, George Bush Jr. for instance was a confraternity (fraternity) member while in the Uni among many prominent American citizens.
