Professor Farooq Kperogi: "Tinubu, Dogara and the Prison and Poison of Religious Politics"
Dated Saturday, March 05, 2022

Somebody from Abuja sent me a link on Saturday March 5, 2022, while in a wedding reception in Kaduna and said I have to look at this write up by Professor Farooq A. Kperogi titled "Tinubu, Dogara and the Prison and Poison of Religious Politics"
Dated Saturday, March 05, 2022

I love the write up , Prof. Said alot of things that are correct about Religion and Politics in Nigeria but I needed to bring out some misconception , which many Nigerians including Professor believes it's true..

Professor Farooq Kperogi said and I quote him. "The two most disadvantaged groups in Nigeria’s representational politics are northern Christians and Southern Muslims. In Nigeria’s internal geopolitics, these two groups are structurally invisible, politically subjugated, and told to be content with their political and symbolic marginality".

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a Muslim from Osun/Lagos states, and Yakubu Dogara, a northern Christian from Bauchi State, embody this phenomenon eloquently. When Tinubu kick-started his run for the presidency in 2020, he settled on Yakubu Dogara to be his running mate to balance his ticket. It was one of the reasons Dogara defected from PDP to APC in July 2020". Though I found out reliably before writing this piece, it's not because of Tinubu Dogara moved to APC but some other reasons.

According to Kperogi and I quote him again. "Tinubu’s northern Muslim supporters told him—without subtlety, tact, or even pretense to evasion—that a northern Christian running mate to a southern Muslim candidate was unacceptable and was a surefire way to a resounding electoral defeat. Tinubu’s own internal polling later showed he’d get substantially more votes with a northern Muslim running mate than he would with a northern Christian running mate".

Professor Kperogi also said for Tinubu to get a ticket to run for President his running mate have to be a Muslim from the North, according to his Northern backers. Kperogi also brought a history of what happened around 1990 where late Chief MKO Abiola choose a Northern Christain Pascal Bafyau from Adamawa but the Northern Muslims advised him that it will not sale unless a Muslim deputise for him , reason Baba Gana Kingibe was chosen.
Is it true the Islamic North are the Majority? I agree with Kperogi when he said "Good" Northern Christains are those who subordinate their Religious Identity. Which is true, in some meetings in the North some Christians don't mention Jesus while praying just to please their Muslim friends.

I completely disagree that any Muslim from the South selecting a Northern Christains to deputise for him is a political blunder. One thing with the Muslims in the North you can't believe them hook line and sinker. I learn reliably the Tinubu Muslim Northern backers for Muslim Muslim ticket some of them are pushing for Governor Fayemi of Ekiti and Osinbajo for President so that they can Deputise for them. Nigerians do not understand this Northern Muslims , they don't want to lose out. A Muslim from the South picking a Christian from the North as Vice President they will lose out politically. Because they don't even trust the Yoruba Muslim even as President. Therefore is either they are the President of Nigeria or they must deputise for whoever he is the President even if he is a Muslim from the South.

The century long Propaganda by the colonial Masters and the Muslim Northeners who control the media in the North made the world to believe Christians in the North are insignificant maybe 95% to 5% .The Nigerians in the South believe that lie that everybody in the North is a Muslim. So I am not surprised if Professor Farooq Kperogi in his write up also share such Ignorance. Many Southerners never believed we have indigenous Christians from Borno State until the Chibok Kidnap were almost 90% of the students are Christains, indigenous of Chibok Borno State.

Let me briefly give you Population statistics in the North

Northern Christians

1) North East
Adamawa state is 60 percent Christian
Taraba State is 70 percent Christian
Gombe State is 40 percent Christian(It could be more)
Borno State is 30 Percent Christian
Bauchi State is 20 Percent Christian
Yobe state is 20 percent Christian(it could be more)

2)North Central
Benue is 100 percent Christian
Plateau State is 90 percent Christian
Nasarawa state: the two largest ethnic groups are: Eggon the largest ethnic group is 80 percent Christian, Mada is 90 percent Christian, is 65 percent Christian. In Nassarawa we have alot of animists even in LGAs near Abuja the FCT.
Kogi state is 60 percent Christian: Igala is 70 percent Christian, Okun is 100 percent Christians while in Ebira Land Christians are 30 percent.
Kwara: Christians are 40 percent(it could be more)
Niger: 40 percent Christian ( We have high number of animists in Niger especially among the Dukawa People in Rijau LGA of Niger State)

North West:
Kano: 10 percent Christian(It could be more)
Katsina is 20 percent Christian (I can believe Christains could be upto 40% in Katsina , many indigenous Hausas in Katsina call Maguzawa are Christains)
Sokoto is 5 percent Christian
Zamfara is 20 percent Christian
Kebbi state is 30 percent Christian(We still have high number of animists Idol Worshippers in Kebbi especially among the Zuru and Dukawa people in Shanga LGA and around Yauri )
Kaduna state is 55 percent Christian.

I am a Pastor Evangelism have taken me to Nassarawa State, Kano State , Kebbi State and Niger State , I noticed that in some of the villages in this Northern Nigeria States , the Mosque are empty nobody pray inside . One thing I noticed is only the village head and his family are Muslims under the payroll of Government but the others are animists. When I asked some of the villagers they say the Muslims came from Government house through their traditional ruler they build the mosque believing one day all the villagers will convert to Islam and worship in the mosque. Thats why they built the mosque and you a stranger will think the entire village are Muslims because of the presence of a large mosque in the village.

But Azzaman they Marry 4 wives and you marry 1 wife. What a nonsense reasoning I call that. Polygamy has been existing in Saudi Arabia before Islam came to Nigeria why is Saudi Arabia not more populated than Great Britain People who marry only one wife?

ETHNIC SPREAD

Now, in analysing ethnic spread, you should know that even in Kano state and Jigawa State, we have the Kurama or Akurmi tribe in Kano south and in Jigawa South, with the exception of Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, all other states in the north are dominated by non Hausa-Fulani tribes even if they are Muslims.

And it will Interest you to know that tribes like Igbira, Igala, Nupe, Yorubas in Kogi do not discriminate based on Religion. This is one reason why the northern Oligarchs will never support census that enumerates Religion and tribe because the true picture of which religion or tribe is the most populous in Nigeria will be revealed.

According to a politician from the South who was a former Chairman of a major political party in Nigeria and a former Personal assistant to 2 Nigerian democratically elected Presidents at Rex Hotel Kaduna which I was there. He said the Middlebelt is not less than 50m People , he said they know it , everybody knows it, he said he is in Government they know it. That's Middlebelt only not including other states in the North I brought out the statistical analysis above. If Kaduna alone can have about 3 million Christians 2006 censors according to LGAs northern Nigeria should have not less than 60m Christians.

We are not minorities as they want you believe rather the Hausa Fulani Muslims found mostly in Northwest Nigeria are the ones that always bring out this misrepresentation of facts secretly to pique us the Northern Christains as the minority.

WHY IS THE NORTHERN CHRISTAINS SILENT ABOUT THIS.

1) A Northern Christain boy is trained to be quite while a Northern Muslim boy is trained to speak out right from their Madarassa or Quranic schools. With whip the Mallam will whip them to talk. But many northern Christains are made to believe their is honour and dignity in keeping quite while injustice is glaring them in the face.
2) Fear : Many Northern Christains come to my inbox telling me to keep low and be silent , don't put your family in danger.
3) Timidity: You have to respect Government even as injustice is facing you. Some Northern Christains believe Government can not be spoken against even when they are wrong because the Bible say Pray for Government.
4) Many Northern Christains are self centered if they can provide for their families, everybody should go to hell.
5) Inferiority complex , many Northern Christains more than a century their grand Parents have been marginalised and persecuted by this Northern Muslims therefore inferiority complex have set in. Many feel they can not aspire for anything in Nigeria without the help of a Northern Muslim.
6) Northern Christains Elders are not helping matters , the youths are always looking for direction from the elders but the elders always turn them towards the Northern Muslims , while nothing like one North.
7) I am a Northern Christain it might hurt you but believe me we have this slave - Master mentality among Northern Christains. Many see the Northern Muslims as a more superior specie of human beings.

IF YOU HAVE SUCH CHRISTAIN POPULATION IN THE NORTH WHY ARE STATES LIKE KADUNA WITH SUCH HUGE CHRISTAIN POPULATION CAN NOT TAKE POWER.

If you read my article "THE HAUSA FULANI INTELLIGENTSIA " , written in 2017, it explains this. The Muslim North knew for a long time they are in the minority and they sat down during the military and make sure we are politically at disadvantage. Delineation of Polling units. Where I stay in Kaduna is a huge area with only 4 polling units , somewhere with a similar size and population where Muslims are would have almost 40 polling units. In some villages with Christian Population no single polling units. Many of us are disenfranchised from voting. That's the only reason why a Christian might find it difficult to win Kaduna. It's not because of Population but because of disenfranchisement and they delibrately did that before the coming of democracy in 1999. WHY DO YOU THINK THE NORTHERN MUSLIMS HATE THE WORD RESTRUCTURING? They don't want their wickedness to be corrected because it's put them in more advantage than the Northern Christain.

I want to tell you Southerners if you want to pick a Christian from the North please go ahead and also Northern Christains you have to come out from your shelves.

I have to write this to discourage that insinuation that Northern Christains are minorities and insignificant. Northern Christains leaders we have to be one and tribes in the North even if you are a Muslim we have to be one. A Nupe Christain will never have agenda against. Nupe Muslim. A Igala Muslim will never have any agenda against an Igala Christain. The Fulanis are those with agenda even the Hausa man now have realised the Fulani man is not working for Hausa interest. They are just using Religion to get the bounty they need out of NIgeria. Fulanis are minorities in Nigeria therefore they must use Religion to confused the other Northern Muslims against Northern Christains for their tribal Interest not even the Interest of Islam.

NORTHERN CHRISTAINS ARE NOT PUSH OVER IN ANYWAY POLITICALLY

I saw someone (@Mario9jaa) on Twitter give snippet of why Bola Tinubu should be elected president and I want Nairalanders to see this too.

This is why we are supporting Tinubu.

1. Power: Tinubu’s government, in 2000, contracted AES to build an IPP that will generate 270MW of electricity to Lagos residents in order to exit the irrational power supply being provided by the FG. The 270MW is now part of our national grid. It is the first of it’s Kind. Tinubu electrification project covered over 100 communities. In his first term, 53 rural communities were targeted. The projects were completed in Egan, Atewolere, Ifesowapo, Aboru, Agbado Ayetoro, Akorede, Isheri Ikosi, Orile Aguntan, Rofo, Borokini, Omologbede, Araromi, Oke Agbo, Erekusu, Logberu, Okegelu and Ebute, Lekki. Others were Origanringan, Onigbolakowe, Oke odo Elemoro, Ipaja Isale odo, Agenuba, Ajelogo, Mutaku, Egansando, Ayanfe, topo and Ikola Agbenaje.

2. Decentralization: In order to bring governance closer to the people of Lagos state, Asiwaju created extra 36 LCDAs which led to the disagreement between Lagos and the OBJ led FG. They are still working till date. Nigeria needs someone who believes in this!
First of it’s kind

3. Economy: With an IGR of just over 600million naira when he took over, different initiatives which included the reorganization of the LIRS led to an unprecedented IGR of over 7billion monthly after 8 years, the sustainability of which has brought same to 57bn in 2022.

4. Health: Decentralization of the Health Management Board led to the creation of LASAMBUS, an ambulance management scheme, Hospital Services Commission and Lagos State Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency. In addition, policies such as “Roll Back Malaria”, “Jigi Bola, Free Health Policy for children below 16 year and adults above 65 years are verifiable ones that stood him out then. The First of its Kind.

5. Infrastructure: Roads, Railway Roadmaps, Port Roadmaps, Housing Roadmaps. Hospital Roadmaps.

It’s all the same…
Eg, Innoson’ s IVM G80 is essentially the Chinese BIAC’s BJ80.

The real utility of domestic car assembly, apart from the immediate plant jobs (and savings on imports, if any) is that it acts as a catalyst to spur local ancillary industries. For example, in a previous (probably lower-tech) era, Nigerian car plants reportedly sourced up to 40% of their components locally - tyres, rims, batteries, windshields, bumpers, car seats, dashboards, etc.

The automobile industry is just that - an INDUSTRY! That means a viable local auto industry would necessarily require a host of several different sub-sectors along the entire VALUE CHAIN! Accordingly, what ideally should be happening is that local businesses would position themselves to supply components to these plants.

>
True that!

The internationally acclaimed and certified Proforce Defence Industries military-grade MRAP, APC vehicles and armored boats (which are produced by the Iperu-Remo, Ogun State-based company owned by the U.S.-trained Engineer Adetokunbo Ogundeyin), are even more Nigerian than those embarassing China copycat cars being blatantly hyped off as made-in-Nigeria cars by Innoson.

Caribbeans don’t have the best weather during the summer.

During the summer, most Caribbean islands have a hot and humid environment, so you would expect scorching sunny days and tropical rain showers except for selected destinations like Aruba, Cancun(which is actually on my list) and Curaçao, the heat and humidity surge from June to September, making it difficult for visitors who don't want to get sunburned and who don’t want to be disturbed with rainy spells.

The finest season to visit the Caribbean, in my opinion, is from February through May.

And, sure, I used weather as a criterion while producing this list.

These are the visa free countries for Nigerians:

Cape Verde
Dominica
Benin
Barbados
Cambodia
Comoros
Burkina Faso
Chad
Côte d'Ivoire
Cameroon
Haiti
Gambia
Kenya
Mauritius
Ghana
Guinea-Bissau
Iran
Maldives
Seychelles
Fiji
Ecuador
Senegal
Micronesia

An impressive thread.

Why is it that the Caribbean Island countries are not in your top 10 destinations?... Barbados, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, etc.

What travel parameters where used to arrive at your top 10?

Foreign AffairsRe: Brit Sentenced To Death In Donetsk Issues Warning by AlphaTaikun: 8:37am On Jun 11, 2022
Teaser4:
Don’t get into war you don’t really understand,” Shaun Pinner tells aspiring foreign mercenaries

Shaun Pinner, a British citizen who fought with the Ukrainian forces and was sentenced to death on Thursday by a court in Donetsk, has issued a stark warning for all foreigners who might be considering joining the fight against Russian troops: “Don’t get into a war you don’t really understand.

Shaun Pinner, his compatriot Aiden Aslin and Moroccan Saadun Ibrahim were found guilty of acting as mercenaries and attempting to seize power by force in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They were also accused of undergoing training in order to carry out terrorist activities on the territory of the state, which was formally recognized by Russia in February.

In an exclusive interview with RT, conducted shortly before the sentence was announced, Pinner called on aspiring mercenaries to accept the fact that they can be put on trial and – in the worst-case scenario – may get a death sentence, and warned them against complaining when it happens.

Pinner revealed that his time in captivity was in many ways an eye-opening experience for him.

Some people do want to be a part of Russia, and you have to accept that,” he said, adding that, now, after he saw Donetsk’s “face,” his “war will be over” no matter what happens to him. He also revealed that he would like to “learn more about the history of both sides.”

Pinner said that his decision to join the Ukrainian military was prompted by several factors: his Ukrainian wife did not want to move to the UK and he could not find a job to support his family. With nine years of service in the British military behind him, Pinner decided to sign a three-year contract with the Ukrainian armed forces which would also provide him with a residency in Ukraine. Being a “patriot of Ukraine,” the Brit decided that it would be a good opportunity for “giving something to Ukraine and, obviously, receiving something back in return.”

He revealed that the standard salary of a contractor at a point of permanent deployment was an amount equivalent to 360 British pounds, which could be raised to around £1,000 for participating in military operations.

According to Pinner, the emphasis of the military training was mainly on “cleaning” and “maintaining military” equipment with not much of actual military training.

There were several foreigners in his unit, the Brit revealed, but three of them deserted last year, “just walked away.”

The active combat service for Pinner did not start till December last year and since February it was “full-on” every day.

Captivity and questioning has been “very very hard” for Pinner, as were solitude and “very confined” conditions. He said that during the questioning he was shown “terrible” photos, allegedly depicting the abuse of Russian prisoners of war by Ukrainian militants.

“I can’t really grumble, I wasn’t shot and I’ve still got all my limbs and my fingers,” the Briton said.

He expressed hope that he and other foreigners who are being tried as mercenaries would be exchanged.

When asked what he’d planned to do after his contract with the Ukrainian military terminated, Pinner said that he and his family intended to move to England and “to start a new life” there.

TravelRe: 7 Mistakes To Avoid When Booking A Flight by AlphaTaikun: 5:59am On Jun 11, 2022
Traveltips1:
The process of booking a flight has become very convenient and straightforward. However, there are some common mistakes that can be made when booking flights. We have put together a list of 7 of the most common ones that we find most common in the bookings sites.

1.Forgetting to delete cookies

All websites track cookies, which means they are tracking your purchasing habits. Clear your cookies before booking, or search for and book flights in an incognito tab. It's simply a marketing ploy in which websites try to scare you into booking before the prices skyrocket.

2. Taking a flight on a Friday or a Sunday

Fridays and Sundays are considered leisure travel days in the airline industry. The reasoning is simple, but it often slips our minds when booking a flight. Fridays and Sundays are the busiest travel days, with Sundays being busier for leisure travelers returning from weekend getaways and Fridays being busier for business travelers returning home at the end of the working week. Although this is not a hard and fast rule, many frequent flyers have noticed this shift. It's a good thing to remember when looking for flights

3. Not Investigating Alternative Airports

Every major city has more than one airport. One of the most common mistakes people make when looking for flights is failing to consider alternative airports. Alternative airports frequently end up saving you money on your airfare.
When you use Google Flights to search for flights, you will notice that the search automatically suggests alternative airports to fly into. This is not to divert you from your search, but to assist you in saving money. This option may not always be appropriate, but it is worth a quick search if you are saving a significant amount of money on your booking. To figure out how to get from the alternate airport to your destination and make the necessary arrangements, always take a look at Apps that will make traveling easier.

4.If you are after the cheapest fare you may not be booking at the right time

Tuesday midnight is your golden time to buy cheap flights. Airline's know if their weekend flights are booked up and if a flight has any empty seats left, they reduce their prices. Another reason behind this is that all the unsold tickets come flooding back into the booking system.

5. Not taking into account the hidden costs

It's easy to get sucked into those 'last few seats available' marketing deals, but it's important to remember that the majority of the time, these deals come with a hidden cost. Although the airfare itself may appear to be less expensive at first glance, airlines prefer to compensate for this by incurring additional costs. Always remember to check for any additional fees, such as additional baggage fees, transfer fees, and sometimes even seat fees.

6. Not understanding the difference between nonstop and direct flights

We frequently confuse a non-stop flight with a direct flight without realizing the distinction. Just a slight change in the term used to describe the flight can turn a pleasant journey into an unpleasant one. Non-stop flights do exactly what they say: they take you from point A to point B without making any stops in between. Direct flights, on the other hand, sound very similar to non-stop flights, but in many cases, your flight will make a stop along the way to pick up more passengers; you will not be required to disembark, but your journey will not be non-stop.

7.Not checking if it cheaper to pay in different currencies

This is not a hard and fast rule, but many frequent flyers have discovered that paying in their home currency works out cheaper with some airlines. One thing to keep in mind is that your bank may charge you a foreign transaction fee. Otherwise, the savings made by paying in foreign currency are offset by the bank's transaction fees.

#1 is an urban legend. Deleting cookies has no effect on the cost. Instead, the cost of tickets is based on availability at any point in time.

While searching a Nigerian hotel, you have to struggle hard to choose the hotel of your choice as you will be faced with a wide array of choices. Choosing the one that meets your needs and requirements out of the available options can prove to be a difficult task. Jumia Travel presents a quick checklist you can seek for while booking a suitable Nigerian hotel online.

Facilities

There are some hotels whose facilities are not up-to-scratch. They should have basic facilities like kids’ area and swimming pool if your trip is a family trip. While if your trip is intended for the business purpose, a Wifi connection along with other business level services may prioritise your list.

Location

The location should be feasible and easily accessible to nearby picnic spots and other tourist attractions if you are planning a family outing. If your trip is for business purpose, then proximity to nearby town becomes crucial. Close proximity to various shopping sites and other amenities can also be a point setter in your preference list.

Reviews

Don’t miss out to check the reviews. Look out for reviews shared by various people who have stayed there to know whether their experience is good or bad. Online travel forums, hotel review sites and social media sites can help you in finding the one that you yearn for. There is the probability of finding a negative review too as it differs from person to person. Make a wise decision.

Accessibility

Easy accessibility by air, road or train along with parking facility is what one should look for. Availability of hotel shuttle service to the nearby airport, railway station and other tourist attractions can be a plus point. If not, easy accessibility to public transport should be there to make things more manageable. Size of accommodation along with other facilities and some sort of loyalty benefits are some other factors that you should consider.

Price factor

Before making a final decision, consider various other value-added services including laundry, extended hour room service etc that can make your stay more comfortable. Search for the hotel that offers attractive price with luxurious accommodation in your budget. You can also perform an online comparison of various available options.

Google will provide answers to your questions. You may also visit www.wakanow.com

Nonetheless I can suggest Ethiopian airlines or Kenyan Airways as the best options for you. I've been there before. There's no direct flight to Entebbe but either of the two lines is the best for you since their operational headquarters are much closer to Entebbe than other alternatives. Remember an indirect flight will first take you to its operational headquarters before taking you to your destination. The proximity of Nairobi and Addis to Entebbe means reduced air fare when compared to the like of South African Airways or Egypt Airlines which will take you first to their countries before connecting Uganda. In my own case, i patronized Ethiopian and enjoyed their in-flight service.

I assume you are heading to Makerere University, one of the best on the continent and rated about any Nigerian university. My trip to Uganda was also Makerere-connected. Infrastructure wise, it's below OAU, UI or UNILAG but in terms of quality of training and research (which is the whole essence of a university), it's above any Nigerian uni.

Congrats, safe flight and God crown your efforts with good success.
Insightful.
TravelRe: 6 Questions To Ask Before Booking A Hotel Room by AlphaTaikun: 4:19am On Jun 11, 2022
deturla:
A lot of us spend a fortune on making hotel reservations or booking hotel rooms. Most of the time we go to the hotel with so much excitement expecting to have a great time. Only to be washed in a sea of disappointment upon arrival because the hotel and hotel room do not have all the amenities we need to have an enjoyable stay. Thus, we end up getting less value for the money paid. All disappointment as well as service gaps can be reduced if customers take out time to ask some pertinent questions. If you want to always get value for money when making a hotel reservation, be it offline or online, ensure you ask these questions.

1 Is there unlimited WiFi Access?

While many hotels offer free unlimited wi-fi access, there are some hotels that do not. And if you are traveling for business purpose, this will be an important criteria to decide which hotel to lodge. Majority of the hotels in Lekki, if not all, offer round the clock connection to the internet to customers through their unlimited wi-fi. Before you book your hotel room, make sure you know whether wi-fi comes with your room. Also find out if the wi-fi is free or not, because while some hotels in Lekki offer free wi-fi to customers, others do it at an additional cost exclusive of the hotel bill.

2 Free Breakfast?

This is another important question everyone should ask before booking a hotel room. Breakfast has recently become a common amenity in many hotels. Not having to bother your head about where to get breakfast is a great relief to many guests especially if they have to set out early in the morning. As such, make sure you check that a hotel serves free breakfast to their guests everyday before going ahead to book it. And if they do, make sure to check what it entails; it could be a grand banquet-worthy feast, or a piece of toast.

3 Can I Cook My Own Meals?

Some hotel accommodations are built in the form of apartments with kitchens where guests can cook their own meals. Most guests on a special form of diet usually prefer to cook their own meals, and an unrestricted access to a cooking facility is one of the major things they consider before booking a hotel room. More so, cooking instead of eating out is a great way to cut down on spendings. So guests traveling on a budget are usually glad when they find a hotel that helps them save more.

4 Does the Room have a Refrigerator?

You will be surprised to find out that some hotel rooms do not have refrigerators. Many guests who cook their own meals usually like to have a refrigerator in their rooms. A guest will count it as poor customer service if his food, drinks or beverage go bad because he couldn’t find where to preserve them. In order to avoid this, make sure you find out if the hotel provides a refrigerator in every room before you make your reservation.

5 Is there a pool at the hotel?

Many guests with kids like to book hotels that have pools. This is because a pool is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to entertain kids when traveling. More so, after a long day of work or going on different tours, some guests like to come to the hotel, throw on a swimming suit and dive into the pool. However, not every hotel has a pool. As such, it is very important you find out about this before booking a hotel room.

6 Is the hotel near an Airport?

The nearness of a hotel to an airport is one of the major criteria business travelers use in booking a hotel accommodation. This is because after a long trip, many business travelers do not want to wander about in an unfamiliar terrain before checking into a hotel. As such, the shorter distance they travel before getting to a hotel, all things being equal, the more likely it is that they are going to make a reservation. So ensuring that the hotel is near an airport is important before making a reservation.

Nairaland GeneralRe: 10 Types Of Guest You Will Meet In A Hotel by AlphaTaikun: 1:19am On Jun 11, 2022
Having worked in a Hotel before here's my list of Guest behavior you may likely encounter.
Now Let's roll.

1. The Runs Girl:
This Girl is a hustlers, She migrate from one rich city to another grin Initially when she arrives she don't exhibit Ashi trait, but after a week or so you get to know the kind of person she is because she will want to sleep with every body including staffs in order to pay her bills.

2. The Stranded Fellow:
This one comes once in a while, mostly Guys shaa, He can tell you all his life ordeal in just 5 minute. my advice's, when you meet this guy it's better you give him a chair to sleep else!! na abeg now go block your ear.

3. No Sex Girl:
You may not meet this girl often, she follow her boy friend or any body to a hotel room, when the moment comes she will say no, if the guy tries to force her she will scream at the top of her voice for help.
qust: Who send you ?grin

4. Tourist:
This Guest is in town for just one reason ( visit ), He/She is not problematic though you will have to recommend a lot for him/her including grin

5. The Condom beggars:
Hmmm this funny set of guest comes around during the weekend, They come back very late with either 2 0r 3 babes (Club things), all drunk " Give me my keys" but na one room him pay for oo, the next thing is to come out in boxer (something de stand) "abeg give me Condom" I will be like I send you any thing ? it's funny but this guys can pay 5,000 for a sachet of condom Konji Na Bastard.

6. Business Men:
This set of people don't have time to even have a walk within the hotel premises, they sleep early and are the first to check out.

7. The Debtor: During his first week he doesn't show signs of what he can do, after becoming acquainted with the manager and other staffs , this Guy would not want to pay his bills any more, sometime you have to seize his room key or properties before he complies.

8. The quickie Wizard:
mostly men, this man can finish one cartoon of condom(not pack) in a day this set of guest always scares me because one man could invite 15 girls in a day . I don't know what they drink it's something but not alomo grin

9. The Hard to Please:
This guest can make life hell for you in less than 24hours, He/She complains about everything, "why's your remote dusty" " why's this why's that" wahala !!!! , sometimes they are just faking it, if you go to where they stay life go just tire you.

10.The Rich Dude:
This guy's so rich that he could pay 50,000 just to rest with a girl for three minute.

The Invisible Men & Women:
these are the hypocrite men/women in the society (Clergy Men, Politician, married men & women) they operate mostly at night, they don't want to be seen because they know the implication, some of them disguise their selves such that you wont recognize them, always in for a quickie shaa.

You can add urs...
Lol @ #5. #6 is relatable...but not always.

RudySmith:
Normally One night at a hotel starts at 2pm and checkout is between 10am and midday the next day. No matter the time u check in, u have 2 checkout the following 10am/midday. This is a business and not charity, and people who r looking 4 hotel rooms at 1am know that very well.
True that.

How To Know If He Truly Loves You or Just After Sex

There are various smart ways to tell if a man truly loves you or he is just attracted to your body

1. Ask him why or what he loves about you: When you ask a man this simple question and you start hearing things like “I love your smile”, “I love you shape” or “your this and that”, “I love the way you bla bla bla”, that love is already attached to weak point, there are high chances he would leave if you lose those features or he stops getting those things he likes. A man’s true love is unconditional and without holdable reasons.

2. Watch how often he talks about your progress together: A man who loves you for real wants to talk about success, financial and physical success with you, he wants to talk about you guys going out of your box and out of your world to reach great heights.

3. What does he want most whenever he is around you: When he is around you and all that goes on in his head is sex upon sex, then its lust not love. Its your choice to stay or leave, if you feel you are having fun and are satisfied then feel free to stay. If every or most conversations you have is always leading to sex or flirt then he just wants to bang you for a while and move

4. Who are the people he introduced you to: If he hasn’t introduced you to his best friends or maybe one or two persons in his family then he probably is just out for the sex thing only. He is probably not interested in meeting your family too because he wants to keep the distance

5. His compliments are focused mostly on outward appearance: Its lovely when your man makes you feel good about yourself but when all the time its just compliments on your physical appearances then he is out for sex only.

6. When the sex is all about him: He just wants to take his clothes off, then just have sex, he doesn’t care about fore play, he doesn’t care about romance or exciting you with fore play.

This message is for Men and Women and no sentiments were attached, just hard truth.

Now a lot of females misinterpret the word loyalty thinking loyalty is slavery or worship of any man but it is completely different from that.

Loyalty means giving and showing firm or constant support or allegiance to a person.

Loyalty is not slavery but allegiance to a person, the strength of a relationship is determined by loyalty to each other and loyalty is born through attraction, love and trust.

Why dogs remain man's best friend is because of loyalty.

You can’t buy it with wealth, you only earn it. You have to be worthy of loyalty for your woman to give it.

If you are overly possessive or barking orders and instructions at your woman, she will only give you her obedience but will not be loyal, such obedience will only be activated right in your face and when you are not there she does what she likes, why?
Her attraction for you is weak and she doesn’t care about you or what you want, she only cares about her happiness.
If she were loyal to you, she would put your happiness first before herself or she would make your happiness one of her major priorities.

Loyalty is the support and love from fans that will make a celebrity want to do more to entertain them, they would queue to buy tickets, they would fight to take the front roll, they would tattoo the celebrity's name on their body, they would watch and live like the celebrity, they would use the celebrity as a wallpaper, they would confess love, this is loyalty but the question is why are they so loyal?

Many Men want loyal women but how do you get loyalty from a woman? Since you cannot buy it with money. How do tou then earn it?
You see, the fans are loyal because of how valuable the celebrity is, this is the same thing that applies in relationship. Level of value matters, how valuable you are will determine the loyalty you get, if you earn a woman's loyalty you have earned it all, she wouldn’t cheat.

Note that, attraction doesn't earn you loyalty, she can be attracted to you and not be loyal, for you to earn her loyalty you must be valuable.

As for the ladies, What ladies do not understand is that with loyalty She can have him do anything for her, just like celebrity doing more for the fans to keep them happy

When feminism comes to play a woman loses every understanding of loyalty- feminism is an enemy of the Loyalty.

Only advanced women control men through loyalty.

The question is, are you worthy of Loyalty?

TheFacelessMan:
Sorry to be so blunt.

1. Northern Christians are despised in their region and have very little influence. In fact, Dogara has control of just 3 LGAs in Bauchi State - as strong as he's touted. Tinubu will definitely lose if he tries it. If you notice, El Rufai said he would do Muslim / Muslim ticket in Kaduna, and he won. Didnt you also notice that Tinubu didn't waste time during campaign with delegates in certain regions?

2. Now, one secret that Southern people don't know, Atiku is really hated in the North. He has a reputation of a snake. He's widely abused as a homo and not a true Muslim. He's said to have been cursed to never be President by a popular Islamic Cleric. To be honest, I still don't understand the hate.

3. Tinubu will pick someone very strong from the North and he will be a Muslim. Northerners even see it as a revenge because OBJ foisted an unhealthy Yaradua that didn't really rule actively. They feel BAT might die in power or the VP does most of the heavy lifting.

By the time Tinubu calls meetings of traditional religious leaders and the big Pastors of Yorubaland e.g. Adeboye, Kumuyi and Oyedepo.... you will be shocked how the potential 60% SW votes turns to 80 or even 90! Oh I even forgot his wife is a Pastor in RCCG and not in the Senate (free to campaign). Remi will go to mega churches - Yorubas undisputably have the biggest.... and preach every Sunday.

Bloc votes from SW and a North 50/50 or even 40% from North will win it for BAT.

Politicians do their calculations well... no matter Atiku's vice, he's very unlikely to win. That's just the reality.

Tinubu is a strong politician but I doubt anyone was sure he would soundly thrash President + Vice President + Senate President + Party Chairman. Did we really expect such a wide margin?

Politicians are like sharks, they easily smell blood in the water I.e. they quickly jump to the side of a potential winner. The APC primaries was an eye-opener for many. SS will smartly fall in line, BAT might not win there but he will do better than projected. SE will be stubborn as usual and unfortunately shout marginalization later. Unfair it might seem but true.

The main election campaigns might be physically tasking for him, but he will very likely trounce Atiku. The other candidates don't matter at all; not worth mentioning.

Tinubu can only lose if he chooses Ganduje (bad reputation) or a Northern Christian. Or Yoruba/Yoruba ticket .... grin grin

In reality...

The pegging of the Ruble to gold obviously strengthened the Ruble. Conversely the USD and other basket of currencies have been outperformed by the Ruble because of record global inflation and high commodity prices.

As of December 2021, Russia had already stockpiled a lot of gold bars based on intel... so it became obvious to me that Russia was truly headed for full-scale war!

They had it all planned out as of 2021 to peg their currency against gold. Tactics and strategy combined. Period.

Oluleke Osinbajo's extempore speech was simply stellar! He got
a well-deserved standing ovation after the galactic and inspiring speech. I followed this via livestream in realtime. grin

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross Rivers, 'Tunde Bakare, and Jack Rich (a dynamic Ijaw internationalist and son of Rivers State who was born in 1975) were all awesome orators who also provided specifics and real world solutions.

The APC Presidential Primaries has been awesome so far and thrown up a new set of dynamic guys of Nigerian descent. APC has set high standards here. Truly historic.
