Thanks Debosky for your reply. I just got my husband to download the forms. Shapey studied accoutancy. I do not know what or if she'll want to continue along that path of career. For me,my 1st degree is french,and i'm quite fluent too. We are working on the forms and hope to hand them in by tuesday at the latest. The reports here are not too bad,sounds better than the UK too. I hear it's a lond wait.Shapey's husband handed his in before they got married,and they are just getting the visa. My husband loves the idea.I have lots to ask anyway,so you'll be hearing from shapey and i soon kiss

RomanceRe: Haking by amsky(m): 2:05pm On Feb 10, 2008
No please,do not hack into her phone. Judging by your age you must have been married for sometime now.Why don't you two talk things over? Imagine the scenario if she gets to know you did that. It sure will not be very funny. Do it more honourably and ask her to her face. hacking is not the best option.

RomanceRe: What Will You Do If Your Partner Bed Wets? by amsky(m): 6:52pm On Feb 08, 2008
this is a serious one,but i think it can be solved. Contrary to what kboy said,it is not only women who do this.Everyone can have such issues at different points,irrespective of sex.

I'd take him/her to a doctor,and stick with him/her till it's treated-and that's if i trully love this fellow.

hi debosky
Just like shapey(my cousin), my husband and i have applied for the immigration too. I have never been there. Pls is this a right step? all shapey's responses seem positive.Is it worth it? The tax in UK is too high and personally,i'll give alot to get a life as good as this,but not as expensive as this.
Shapey is in France now,and i hope she sees this. Thanks so much Debosky.pls keep in touch.

RomanceRe: Tips On How To Live Happily Everafter With The Man Of Your Dreams! by amsky(m): 5:08pm On Feb 08, 2008
hello new bride!!! Happy married life.

Yes it'll be rosy rosy now.We all had it that way for varied lenghts of time. This life is not a bed of rosies, and neither is marraige. There are sweet times and then ofcourse, there are the times you feel it's all a nightmarish dream. at those times when the chips are down, REMEMBER YOUR MAKER.
My mother tells me till today-a woman that kneels wins. I am really not the church going type-not that i don't go o. When the hard times come, i always go on my knees and i get an answer.
Do not take anything for granted. Always COMMUNICATE with your husband. I did not say talk to-communicate with, There is a difference here. Communication is the key. I did not have it initially,but when times were so rough and i thought of taking a break-this key unlocked alot for me. Some men hardly talk much about anything,but you kave the key to his heart.

Be a good wife above all. You know your man,so you know what ''good'' is according to his books and yours too.

on a lighter note, more often than not,let your waist do the trick lipsrsealed lipsrsealed. If you play your cards right, your husband will be your best friend and you'll be his.
Time is not on my side now,so cant tell you much,but all the best. Be patient,be a mate/helper, be his friend and confidant. Be all you can.
Happy married life. kiss
SportsRe: Thank God We Did Not Play Egypt! by amsky(m): 4:42pm On Feb 08, 2008
It would have been a disaster if Nigeria had played against Egypt. I managed to watch the match last night and i was in awe of the Egyptians for the whole duration. I am so happy we left when we did. If Ghana was meeting Egypt,i'm soooo sure it'd have been repeat of yesterday's scores if not higher.

Ghana,pls accept my heartfelt condolences.E pele o! It's not the end of the world.They have to fight hard to win the 3rd place match or else, tears will flow like river niger. cheesy
FamilyRe: What Do I Do In This Circumstance? by amsky(m): 4:15pm On Feb 08, 2008
Choicehome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where are you?? pls come your attention is needed here. smiley

@poster,
how are you my dear? Do not worry,everthing will be just fine. Firstly, i think that solving this problem will have to start with your closeness to your hubby. Do not shut him away.For all you know,he may be massively stressed now.It not easy to be in a financial mess.Every man i know will be disturbed by that. Pls make him understand that you love him and care for him,irrespective of whatever. That may help him come out of it.
As for beating you, I am not too sure what to say here. I'll pass the discourse to choice home and almondjoy, uspry1 to take that up. cheesy (that one pass me). DO all you can not to provoke him.Once you see he is a foul mood,pls give him time to cool off.

One more thing my dear lady,pls,try and get something to keep yourself busy too.It helps alot,believe me. That way,there'll be some kind of balance.
Take care of your kids,don't let them seetheir dad roughen you up. Will keep you in mind. kiss
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Ghana: Can We Beat The Host Country? by amsky(m): 11:00pm On Feb 06, 2008
Are we still whining over this football match? i thought we had got over the whole thing. Let's try and see things in another light o!!! If Ghana had lost dont you know they'd have shown 9ja people there pepper? They for show them say canda na meat khaki na leather. grin

Who said Nigeria is finished? This is only a game.It will not put more money in our pockets neither will they reduce the heavy tax that has been deducted from my salary. cry So let's stop crying over spilled milk. Ghana has spent hard currency that is hard to come by,so let them win okay.

Who suggested that they should leave nairaland for us? That one is not possible o! even if you send them away with koboko,they'll never leave us.It's more like they can never do without us. cool Without 9jas their lives are incomplete. So people cheer up okay, it's not the end of the world. kiss kiss
FamilyRe: Charity Programme For Widows And Orphans:Suggestions Please by amsky(m): 9:57pm On Feb 06, 2008
i'm not so clear on what type of suggestion you need,but i'll share a bit nonetheless. I was once a bit involved in that kind of thing in Nigeria.What we did was to pick the bills of three school kids in an orphanage. There was a boy in primary school,one in secondary and the other in the university. We paid their fees,got them school bags,H20 bottles, books- practically stuff you'll do for your child. We got to pay the accommodation fee of the guy in uni too.

For the widows one could also think of setting up little things for them to do.By this i mean petty trading, sale of second hand clothing, moblie phone booths and lots more.

Goodluck in whatever you decide to do.This is a noble course,and i hope you reap abundantly.
RomanceRe: Should I Marry Him? by amsky(m): 9:39pm On Feb 06, 2008
First you should ask yourself if this guy is worth it.Is he the type that will turn his back on you the moment oppurtunity presents itself? Does he feel the same way about you?
It's not abnormal for you to feel impatient and frustrated at the same time.At 25 i was married for 2yrs with a baby,so i cannot say i have felt a bit of what you are feeling. Do you intend to wait for him till he finishes school before you guys get married?

Have you spoken to your dad and he says he'll not let you marry this guy? The final decision is yours to take,but all the same,there's no harm in waiting if you both really love yourselves.
goodluck
RomanceRe: Ladies Ain't Worth The Time Guyz. by amsky(m): 9:13pm On Feb 06, 2008
Thanks ifyalways.
@poster

By saying this,i hope you also know your mother(the woman who gave you birth and brought you into this world,laboured for you and all) and sisters are also included among ''ladies''. So maybe you should think twice before starting such discussions here. Please you have alot of growing up to do-do us all a favour and start right away.

@everyone else
we must not encourage this sort of 'misbehaviour'. This is most probably a little lad,who knows NOTHING about life whatsoever. He just want to be famous on Nairaland.
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: E Don Happen Again!( Lamidebaby and tkb417 ) by amsky(m): 1:59pm On Feb 06, 2008

FamilyRe: What Lies Did Your Parents tell You About Were The Babies Come From by amsky(m): 12:50pm On Feb 05, 2008
I never asked my mother,but i asked my granny.she told me babies used to come out from the mouth. I'll translate it for you-- Ehmmm, there are questions children must never ask,but since you asked,i'll tell you.Their mothers vomit them from the mouth'. I really believed it until my mom spoke to me about ''that time of the month.'' i was sooo confused.
