Steaming. Sorry my dear for your experience. I had that experience once. I was a virgin then,so you can imagine the fright. I ran away.

Naijaking has said it all. I work in a hospital, and i have seen ladies in such situations. The technician has no business going near your privates at all. Wasn't there a doctor on duty?

Be careful where you go for medical attention okay. kiss
FamilyRe: How Do You Normally Greet Your Parent? by amsky(m): 1:36pm On Mar 05, 2008
When i was younger it was '' momy goodmorning or daddy goodmorning''. For my son he says ''hey mommy''. What is thathuh Is that how to greet somebody? He tells his dad hey daddy and that one telle him to give him a hi 5 embarassed

Things have really changed sha. In my days you dare not try that. Don't even fathom it,cos all your teeth will fly out of your mouth before you know it. grin.

FamilyRe: My Baby Girl Bed Wet by amsky(m): 1:24pm On Mar 05, 2008
Give her some time. You may want to try reducing her fluid intake. I did that for my 4yr old and he no longer bed wets. As from 6.00pm no more water, juice, hot choclate,

Secondly, make it a point of duty to wake her up at least once during the night to use the bathroom. If she pees before bed and she is taken out to pee, then bedwetting will be gratly controlled. Above all, pls do not make her feel bad about it. Just be patient with her.

I can imagine the stench fragrance of the bedroom. grin grin grin

Please,re-read my post. I did not call him a fool because he's not married at 43. make an effort to get it right.

Please, don't ever deceive yourself. I am hooked, joined and happily married. Yes,so look elsewhere. So i am not your ''medicine''. If you can't find medicine among your 3 ''gorgeous'' women, then you're in for it.

RomanceRe: Helpoooooooooooooo! by amsky(m): 5:27pm On Mar 04, 2008
NO-o this story may not be more than just a story. There are such good for nothing guys who are fools at 40.

@ poster

Have you not heard that a fool at forty is a fool forever? in your own case since you are more than 40,then the word ''fool'' is a bit of an understatement.  If you do not listen to advice, why are you wasting your time here? At 43 yrs,the fact that you do not know what you want leaves me wondering the sort of husband you'll eventually become. You are way too old for this. I hope an advice to ''grow up'' would not be out o'place here. Imagine asking a fully fledged 43yrs old man to grow up. What can one  then say to the adolescents? undecided

Someone pls tell me why this Odili guy walks freehuh

This is the reason why i HATE disscussing stuff about Nigeria. angry angry angry This guy has stolen so much from the government and still moves about.

How will Nigeria ever get better in the next 20yrs? And to think that people are suffering and living in such pauverty stricken conditions. This thief amasses all this wealth and nobody has led him to the gallows yet.

FamilyRe: If Your Mama Decides To Leave! by amsky(m): 4:59pm On Mar 04, 2008
Alot goes on in marriage. Nobody escapes it,not even the ''holier than thou'' pastor. Everyone goes through turbulent times.

Why would a woman who has spent 24yrs in a marriage give up on it just like that? I hope this is something that can be worked out. If your dad has never beaten her, does not cheat, is alive to his responsibilities, What is it that cannot be resolved?

My parents have been married for 30yrs and they still have their ups and downs. My mother once got on a flight to UK,just to take time out. She said she was leaving. It turned out that the time out was all she needed.

Encourage her to take some time out. For all you know, that may be all that's needed to make both parties chill.
FamilyRe: Behind Every Great Man Is A Woman. True Or False? by amsky(m): 2:10pm On Mar 04, 2008
I was discussing this with my husband last night. I helped him put his presentation together and he was like '' you women can be a man's success and his downfall.'' .it is so true. Just like what almond has said,it all depends on how this woman is treated. If you trat her well, you bring out the best in her.if she is shabbily treated, then my dear, gird your loins for the worst. The thing is if your wife is good,it shows in every facet of your life.If not, too bad.

That does not mean that women who are evil do not exist. It does not have to be a wife. Your mother can be the one too.

Advice--when you get hooked (if you aren't already) treat her like a queen. Si non, lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

FamilyRe: Attracted To Brother-in-law? by amsky(m): 7:52pm On Mar 03, 2008
As it's very easy for this attraction to turn into something emotional, then you must be very careful.

I have been attracted to a guy once ( i wasn't married then) it turned into what i think was a crush. When ever i saw him coming, i'd go weak in the knees, butterflies in my tummy and all that.

Keep you attraction in check o. Like Aisha said, It should stop at just that, admiration.

almondjoy:
Na long story. I also got a little frustrated with the ignorance of it all. I had to just keep practising till I got it right. You can delete you posts if you do not like what you see quoted and start all over again.

1. Go to your reply button.

2. Scroll down to the poster you want to quote and hit the underlined "insert quote"letters located on the upper, right handed, corner below the date and time of the poster you want to quote. If it does not appear in your reply box, try again till if appears in the reply box. If it appears more than once, delete one of the duplicates.

3. Please make sure your personal comments are out side the "quote"
or you would quote yourself and the poster's all together like I did below.

Instead of:
my comments are outside the quotation box.

You can post your comments before or after you "quote" a poster or several posters.

4. Sometimes you may have to quote a poster's write-up not located on the scroll down page. Or you would want to quote a poster's written words from way back. This involves the use of "copying" and "pasting". You also have to know how to use the "quote" function too and it gets a little tricky.

Like I said hook up with a fellow Nairalander and let him or her go over it with you in detail, or just keep practicing and you will eventually get good at it like I did.

Good luck! kiss

BusinessRe: I Need Help With My Life! by amsky(m): 6:16pm On Mar 02, 2008
Yes i think i agree with the previous posters. Nigerian degrees are really poorly rated in most parts of the world. I wonder why my father spent loads o' cash in a Nigerian uni for a degree that i can't use now.

I think you should go on with the event management certification, make yourself the best you can be. Then you can study anywhere you choose. Be good at what you do.

All the best.

Hollandis
you may be right when you say women divert attention to their babies once they are born.
Yeah, that's true. On the other hand, some women are able to strike a balance b/w the two ''tasks'' of mothering and being a wife. It takes an amazon to do that.

Most men are accommodating enough to be patient knowing that it's just a matter of time before their wives face them, others make it a duty to sulk on that account.

@ post
Yes, in my opinion, children bring a couple closer. It's the case for me anyway. The husband may be close to his wife, but the thought of ''this child is ours to cherish'' is a whole new world for the couple. My husband tells me that seeing the children makes him love me the more. One may misunderstand this thinking he did not love me before the babies came along, but i know what he's saying. I feel that way sometimes too. So kids in a marriage are to a great extent a binding factor. in my opinion

FamilyRe: Natural Delivery Or Cs? by amsky(m): 11:31am On Feb 27, 2008
@ 4HIM

You have made a good choice my brother. If one is scard of not waking up after the CS experience, you might as well be awake and have the lower part anaesthesized. It was done here two days ago and the lady even helped to pull her baby out.

I had my 2nd baby in an NHS hospital here. The doctor said i could have a normal delivery. My pelvic girdle is not so big and my baby was 4kg. She was resting on the left part of my pelvic, so that makes it painful for me even now,9mths after.
Apart from that, after the long episiotomy i had,I had to sit in a bowl of hot water. shocked it was not the best for me. I was almost raw down there.
One is adviced while giving birth not to raise the hip up while pushing. A woman did it here and her vagina tore right down to her anus. Tell me how(even after stitching) that place will be the same?
So once again,CS is my first choice. wink

R-dynamite
It was alot of hell for me i tell you. I will not do it again, honestly. The left part of my pelvis is still affected till this day. I cannot open my legs as wide as i used to. The thing that makes me happy is the fact that i have my cute little sweetheart to show for it. THAT DOES NOT MEAN I WILL HAVE A VAGINAL DELIVERY!!!!!!
RomanceRe: Husband Left Me. What Can I Do To Get Him Back? Or Should I? by amsky(m): 6:40pm On Feb 26, 2008
HIs Grace. Why are you saying she should cut off her husband's pingolo? eh? Is that how you will advice your wife to cut yours if yawa bursts?

Please, the ''prayer'' thing is getting too much. Yes she should pray, but my dear you cannot just pray and sit there waiting for him to decide on the fate of you and your kids.

The show must go on dearie. Give him some space. If after that there is no change, pls get on with your life.Take good care of your children. Like Almondjoy said, Dog wey don loss no dey hear im master whistle.

I wish you all the best. kiss
FamilyRe: Natural Delivery Or Cs? by amsky(m): 6:18pm On Feb 26, 2008
You have all spoken sooooo well. Please, give me my CS anyday man. I've gone through both and i tell you, CS is my thing.

My 1st was a CS-Foetal bradicadia. The 2nd and last was a natural birth and till this moment i still remember the trauma. I was in labour for 2 good days. Wednesday 9am to friday 1pm. WETINhuh??

It was hell for me. My husband had to start crying and begging the nurses to take me to the OR. The gaeny thought my pelvis was a bit small, but was like ''well you can deliver naturally'' . The tear nko? They no dey talk am finish abeg. I was stitched and a few days later, the stitches decomposed without the epis healing. I had to do a return match. The whole trauma all over again. When the baby finally came out, they nurses asked me to carry her and breast feed. breastfeed what? I could not walk for 3 good days,i was moving about in a wheel chair. When i had the urge to urinate,i got so frightened. I did not let my husband touch me for 9wks. I used to runaway from the room when he was undressing. It was that bad.
That is my last baby, but if by MISTAKE water enter coconut,  CS straight away.

I had a CS with my 1st baby, and it only ached when i tried to walk straight. Everyone has a preference, but me CS is the answer;in this world and the next. sad
