Car Talk › Re: How To Avoid The Common Honda Ball Joint Problem by AMvanquish: 4:05pm On May 23, 2019
My 1st car was a Civic 90, I could recall I was always changing the shaft at 3-4 months interval.

I have also had the opportunity of owning an Accord 2006 aka DC. I can testify to having this ball joint issue like twice. I'm very careful and meticulous about the maintenance of my car to the point that any unusual sound I hear is discomforting to my ears, and I
always buzz my mechanic to come check it out.

My mechanics take on the ball joint issue:
1. He is of the opinion that whenever you change the OEM part which comes with the car and source for new part, 9/10 favours you would lay your hands on a substandard / Chinese part.

2. Some mechanics miss small details, and hence don't do a thorough job fixing the issue.

3. Lack of maintainance from drivers and failure to notice warning signs.

As for me , I am done with Honda for life and never patronising it again. The legs are just too fragile for my liking and not reliable enough.
But if you can tackle these leg issues permanently, you'd definitely enjoy a Honda.

If they know how much Cigarette companies are paying on Tax, they would calm down. How many big industries are in kwara providing massive employment and revenue to the state? But if the protest is due to proximity to their school, I think it is justified if they can prove it causes harm to their health. But how do you locate a tobacco factory close to a school. Global best practices don't encourage that

Look at her wrinkled face... She's looking older than her mother. That ugly weasel of a girl is a junkie. You can take this to the bank. By the way, what is Gandollar giving her money for? To go and buy more tramadol and codeinehuh

They will still catch her again... Unless her parents send her to a rehab.

Culture › Re: Emir Sanusi Returns From London, Welcomed In Style As He Arrives Kano by AMvanquish: 9:30am On May 13, 2019
tinsel:
This Emir is not popular in Nano. Otherwise you would have seen rioting everywhere. The small opposition. you are seeing is from PDP.
Riot for what! We didn't riot for March 23, Supplementary election , it is this you want us riot for.
Sorry to disappoint you, Kano has gone beyond that riot mentality. Everyone knows with Riot , everyone loses. We will fight them through other means.
Politics › Re: Ganduje Appoints Four New Emirs by AMvanquish: 3:00am On May 11, 2019
Aquariann:
Thanks for sharing. I was able to speak with a colleague from Kano and he was of the same opinion like you. He said it wasn't a welcome decision, although he has never liked Ganduje, so I didn't really want to take his word for it considering the media space kinda remained silent 24 hrs later.

Like one should expect northern elders and the likes to grant one or two interviews condemning or supporting the act, but it's just silence from everyone of note up there, leaving room for speculations down South.

Again, there's a report one of the Bayero's prince has accepted to be one of the newly appointed Emirs. Which of it's true, throws up plenty questions
A court order was served today restraining the governor from going ahead with implementation of the new Emirates created. But some of the Governor's aides have come out to say they would go ahead and install the new emirs later today Saturday. Talk of Impunity.

The Bayero prince and other individuals who have accepted is still gossip talk for now, but we should get a clearer picture later today.

Northern elders being mute on the matter is disappointing. The real elders who should have waded in like Maitama Sule , Tijjani hashim etc unfortunately are late. The ones remaining have turned to Yes Men with vested interests, now silent capitalists and don't want any drama saying the truth as it is. And SLS says his mind which is the opposite of what a lot of core tradionalists preach against. Good thing is some Islamic scholars are starting to speak against the move.
Politics › Re: Ganduje Appoints Four New Emirs by AMvanquish: 2:14am On May 11, 2019
Aquariann:
Our brothers down South have been the most vocal about this Balkanization of Kano Emirate. But news updates from Kano seem to suggest it's actually a welcomed decision. Majority of the house members voted in favor of the bill since it was mentioned in the floor of the State house of assembly

Personal I try not to involve myself with politics of people and places outside my domain, so it would be nice if we can get first hand info from what's going on in Kano.
It is not a welcome decision. The house members are all the Governor's stooges Xcept for PDP Members, and word has it they have been duly compensated the Gandollar way. No consultation what's over with their constituents. The Speaker and his deputy have also quickly passed a life pension Bill for themselves with juicy perks attached. This is suspected to be as a result of their cooperation and support of all this charade. Gandollar has gone mad, time will tell how this story ends.

Maybe now that about 75% of his power is about to be taken away, his impact will be felt outside Kano state. I always thought that throne was a demotion for such an intelligent man. Square peg in a triangular hole.
True talk but as he is of Royal blood, it is as much a life ambition for him and other Royal princes to ascend the throne of their ancestors. They love that stool..

Ok. This Govt and media propaganda. We don't need all this grammar. Take action and play your role effectively. Sharp and intelligent people already know this is how the police have been operating....

Must they bring it to public awareness?

Dumb police, OK o.. we also know finance companies also help in their own capacity

I ddnt read the story, but the police should fight crime confidential and stop giving themselves away
Like seriously. Does it have to be public knowledge. Why do our security agencies have to always reveal every plan. Cant they just work incognito and let us see results. Is revealing it supposed to impress us or what.
What a country!! undecided

Politics › Re: EFCC Must Probe 8th NASS Over Legislative Aides’ Pay – Group by AMvanquish: 10:14pm On Apr 19, 2019
I can Confirm this from a friend there. Most if not all legislative aides are being owed allowances running for close to 2-3 yrs. Most times their salaries don't come as at when due. Sometimes there are owed for close to 2-3 months.
The irony here is that their Oga Senators and Reps get paid as at when due no stories. But their supporting staff have to beg and protest for theirs.
The leadership of the 8th N.A. needs to be really probed. They are running some serious racket with these salaries they withholding.

That is very commendable from patriotic lawyers, no place for rogues PDP politicians in kano state and nigeria in general.
Kano is PDP, PDP is Kano. Argue with your phone. Supplementary elections in Kano was an outright sham , even your APC supporters in Kano know this.
Gandollars saw the writing on the wall, hence the desperation which ensued with support from thugs, Security Agencies and FG..
All those supporting his win are just shameless political jobbers and most esp haters of Kwankwasiya.
