favour ume: I was 24 when a met my husband, was still a virgin and we courted for 3yrs before we married and never for one day did he make me feel bad about it. Instead he made sure I upheld what I believed in. it earns you a lot of respect and prevents future wahala.

For those making comments about not been interested, it takes a lot and I must commend the OP, keep it up!

ejim blessing: If people can boldly come to nairaland to boast of how they slept with their boyfriend's best friend, their boss/madam, their friend's wife, etc., then why can't we promote sexxual morality. Imagine having like 7 boyfriends in your lifetime and sleeping with all of them!!!!! Btw, I read a lot and I've learned a lot. So experience won't be an issue for me. Even those couples who co-habited be4 their wedding and explored all sexual fantasies still have problems with their marriage due to sexxual problems. God! Some comments here make me wonna scream! How can a man prefer left-overs to freshly cooked afang soup?
Non virgins are leftovers? Beginning to see you have that 'I'm better than the rest' attitude. But that's not confidence, that's false bravado speaking. Please get down your high horse (no insult intended)

Keeping your virginity or losing it anytime you want is entirely your choice. All women were once virgins (fact!) But some may decide to loose theirs earlier than others. It's actually people like you that a guy would go as far as engaging (in deceit) and after stealing your valuable prize, dump you into the 'leftover' pile.

Don't let this whole thing get into your head girlie

Romance › Re: She Slept With My Best Friend by Amya(f): 2:59pm On Dec 02, 2013
I had a similar experience. 8 years ago, I had met this guy. I was with my best friend the day we met. Soon after, we started dating. He likes that my bestfriend a lot and she's really pretty. Anytime I met him, he always had something for me to give to me friend (recharge card money. . .etc) he refers to her as his "second wife" " second girlfriend". Anytime I saw him he always asks about her. I knew he was very fond of her and I liked that he liked my bestfriend.

A year later, ASUU was striking and I travelled to lagos to stay with my aunt. My bestie called and told me to tell my boyfriend to gave her a temporary work as a marketer in his company to pass the time. I agreed to talk to him when I came into town the next week.

When I came in, she didn't mention anything about the job anymore, so I just ignored it. The next day, I met up with him and unlike him, all through the day he never for once mentioned anything about my friend, which was strange. I started putting two and two together. The next day I met up with him again and this time told him my friend had broken down in tears that they had been having s3x when I was out of town (she didn't tell me anything o).
My people come and see confession that day. My intuition had been right all long. He said they'd been sleeping together from the day she called me. That she had disregarded what I told her about waiting for me to get back and had gone to his office. One thing led to another and they started sleeping with each other everyday.

He wondered why she told me as she had begged him not to let anything slip that they had even seen each other. I told him she didn't tell me anything and I had simply used psychology on him to get the truth. He was gob smacked! I walked out of his life. I forgave my friend after a few months but I never trusted her anymore. We officially broke our friendship last year.

To be a super-model, excessive facial beauty is a disadvantage. This Is because in fashion shows, people want to see the clothes and not the model wearing it. The model should look and act like a prop. And never take the attention the clothes should be getting.

My husband incacerated me for so long without any just cause even if he claims it was for my good and d good of d family due to my mental health condition. Now I cried out for help tru one way or the other for d world to hear my story and come to my rescue. My best medium to do that was tru sahara reporters whom I was sure wd amplify d issue and politicise it. Now my husband got very pissed abt it and has now decided to give me unfettered access to my doctors, friends, family, media, and lawyer! Oh yes I will stand my grounds. I will run run for dear life and I will never go back to that monster!!!!! And I will go to church on sunday in thanksgiving of how d good lord delivered me from d valley of death! Yes that's wot mrs chime shd do asap!

oyb: frankly disgusting if this is the mentality of you women
you marry a powerful man, knowing full well he is a notorious womanizer then start to complain after the fact
you complain about being abused in a marriage, but still prefer a gilded cage to freedom
you cannot have it both ways - either leave and live as a normal nigerian, or suck it up and stop spamming the rest of nigeria
if she doesn't want to end the marriage, then she should shut up.

if the guy was a regular guy she would have left 'unceremoniously' long ago
Igbo women are not prone to divorce. Even the lowest of the low in terms of wealth still stick to their men even in cases of physical and emotional abuse. I really don't blame you for how you think, you were born to think this way. But I must say it's really myopic. How can her cry for freedom be mistaken for something else? That she doesn't want to be under any form of house arrest? That she wants to go out and come in as she pleases?

Her husband (yes her husband) in trying to ridicule her tells her to pack out immediately. Just like that!!! Even if she wants to leave, can that be done in a second? Won't she pack her things? Won't she trying to pull her resources together to insure she has a good and comfortable life after she leaves? Please don't join the chauvinistic crusaders.
Politics › Re: Chime Attempts To Eject Wife From State House "Detention" by Amya(f): 9:16am On Nov 11, 2013
pro01: You women never cease to amaze. You embarrassed your husband by running your stupid mouth in public and portraying him as a monster. For a man in his position, such bad PR is intolerable and unacceptable. The man tries to disabuse the minds of the public by addressing a press conference ATTENDED BY THE SO-CALLED WIFE AND HER FAMILY MEMBERS, wherein he stated the facts about the matter. Few days latter, the insane woman cries out yet again that the Human Rights Commission lied against her, that she is indeed under detention against her wish.

The governor becomes irritated and FED UP with the whole nonsense, and decides to grant you the 'freedom' you crave (RIGHTLY SO), and yet you refuse to leave! Instead you're talking about leaving "ceremoniously", or worst of all, "enjoying the perks that are suposed to be attached to her as a governor's wife". You must be a lunatic! Must you greedy, confused things always have your cake and eat it too? Why do you thieves always assume you can have it both ways? This disgusting sense of entitlement beggars belief. Why did you marry the governor in the first place, knowing FULL WELL that he was a notorious womaniser who you would NEVER have to yourself? Did you marry him at gunpoint?

If I were Chime, I would have ejected her at all costs, and banished her from the government house permanently. Rubbish.
So the Governor is the saint in this story yeah? If you can't read between the lines, this publication is intended to mock her like some others have been doing lately. She is legally married to him. He can't in the spirit of trying to ridicule her tell her to pack out immediately. Like seriously? Did he have to say it? He could just send away her guards instead of barking such orders. If he did that and she didn't leave, then she's the fool. Really really look between the line and see what this all about. It's about power, ego and chauvinism.

She's being detained against her wish, she can't go and come in as she pleases or have people come visit her. She's lonely, she's sad, she's depressed. She loves her husband but he husband hasn't been to her bed for years. Despite the mockery she knew she might receive, despite the ridicule she knew was coming, she still stood her ground and cried out to the public. It doesn't make her greedy, it makes her brave.

My dear, money is nothing. This woman more than anyone is in a position to know this now (which is a lesson for the people who marry for money) but who says this woman married for money anyway. The man in question is sleek, handsome, charming with charisma. Good reasons for anyone to fall head over heels. He must have hidden his promiscuity from her.

Anyhoo, let's not be quick to judge this woman. She's been through enough as it is. Put yourself in her shoes and imagine what she must be going through. I wouldn't wish her condition on my enemy.

utumunta: So she wants freedom? She got it. Why is she refusing to leave? She want to have her cake and eat it.
How many people will allow their relatives suffering from mental health challenges to roam the streets? How many rich persons have their relations in a mental home in Nigeria? Instead of putting her in a home where the inmates are treated worse than eku-uke dogs and where people like Sahara reporters will go with their cameras to take her pictures and taunt the governor, is it not better he set her up at home with a full battery of doctors?
The same people criticising Chime for unlawful imprisonment today, would be the first to say that he has used the wife for one ritual or the other and abandoned her in an asylum.
The man has done the best in the situation and handled it well. Since his best is not enough, he should let her go to avoid the unnecessary bad press and distraction she is generating.
Don't get it twisted dude. She had a nervous break down. Once! Google it to see what it means. It doesn't make her mad! It doesn't make her insane to be detained in an asylum. All she needs is a psychotherapist to help her with her intense depression. The confinement is only making her matter worse..

People seem not to think of what caused the nervous break down in the first place. Was her life so smooth sailing and she woke up one good morning and had a nervous breakdown? This Man shagged her younger sister so much so that it resulted in pregnancy which she kept! This man is a notorious womanizer that sleeps around that he's known around the Enugu circuit as 'picanto'. He keeps an apartment that she doesn't go to . This man isn't even discreet in his womanizing habit. Is all this not enough to make someone have a nervous breakdown?

He told her to leave and he expects her to leave like a wh.ore that came to spend the night? She isn't trash! She's his wife. If she has to leave the state house, she'll do it with dignity. All she wanted was her freedom to go around as she pleased. She never in anyway said she wanted to end the marriage. Till the marriage ends, she should still have all the perks that are supposed to be accorded her as a Governor's wife.

Magic Bishop: And what makes you think that Obama's Administration is not solidly backing this group alongside the Wahhabis of Saudi Arabia and including most of the northern elders?

Do you think the American Govt is interested in seeing peace in your country or around the world?

America has promoted and engaged in many conflicts globally than any Nation.

They are truly the world's number one terror group.

In conjunction with their Arab buddies they have used Islamic terror to destabilize countries just as they used anti-communist and pro-conservative groups in Latin America, Asia and Africa in the 60's. The world is becoming less ideological and politically lazy so they opted for religious fanaticism in their bid to destabilize upcoming and emerging Nations like Nigeria to derail their progress. You will wonder of what interest will social and political instability benefit the white house and wall street; well the answer is simple and is glaringly obvious with the emergence of China.
There cannot be two bullies on the block. China has competed with the west for the world's natural resources and markets to which the west is not able to match. With prosperity to other regions, America can not sustain their fattening and greedy levels of consumption.

All this is a ruse.

GEJ has had more intel from Israel than from Obama's White House in tackling and checkmating these fanatics.

The raid on stock piles of weapons on a residence owned by a Lebanese national was gotten from a Mossad tip.

The interception of Iranian shipments of artillery rounds at Lagos ports destined for the volatile north and also the Gaza strip via Egypt was as a result of the Israelis tipping their Nigerian counterparts.

Israel has been monitoring Niger, Chad and Nigeria since the fall of Gaddafi and emergence of Al Qeada in the western Maghreb.

GEJ is smart to send a message to that stooge Obama by cleverly visiting Israel on security talks.
You hit the nail on the head. I don't trust the U.S one bit. Whatever they do/don't do is only about keeping up their relevance in the world stage. and as we all know, everyone can't all be powerful at once. There have to be a 'weak' for there to be 'powerful' To maintain that power, America have to suppress some countries (Nigeria inclusive) to perpetually be in that position of power. Funding boko haram and some other terrorist organization is a small fry to what they can actually do.
But I wouldn't trust isreal too. America and Isreal are strong allies.
