Amalaaba: Dear Thanks for your response. I confess: i am not a lawyer, but i would have appreciated your correction better, if you had quoted what the relevant part of the competition said. I am re-stating my understanding of the position of our constitution in respect of the issues at hand thus:
1. Every Nigerian can vote for anyone no matter where he lives in Nigeria. 2. Once you are born or you pay tax (for an appropriate period specified in the constitution) at a location within Nigeria, you can contest for any elective position.
We are not implementing the second part anywhere in Nigeria. If we want to do it, it must be done simultaneously everywhere.
Ikwerres in PH are Ibos, but no Ibo (SE) can contest for any position in Rivers state, even if he/she is fifth generation. Boy your analysis are nice but you have to stop this insanity of always typing Ibo. STOP IT. |

Culture › Re: Ikwerre Names & Their Meanings by AndreUweh(m): 9:37pm On Mar 04, 2011 |
Abagworo: That's a lie bros. The "rumu"(children) is a dialect of Ikwerre spoken in Emohua but was adopted by the Obio(Diobu) people whose original dialect is "Umu" in 1970."Omu" is used in Northern Ikwerre in place of "Umu" just like the word "mbra"(now) is used by Diobu while variances of "kita","udu" and "ndue" still occur in other ikwerre dialects.
The difference between Ikwerre and central Igbo is the letter "f" which has evolved to "wh" and the arrangement of words in a sentence(this is the major difference).Ikwerre names are Igbo names because they share the same words but if a sentence is made in Ikwerre then the difference becomes noticeable.
It is more like Pidgin and English.
"Who bring you come here ?"
"Who brought you here?" Good analysis. |

LOL How on earth does that mean that the Yoruba defeated Biafra? You can't even liberate Illorin from a gang of disease infested Fulani yet you are dreaming about Biafra?
Yes it took all you fools combined together to bring down small Biafra. I have every reason to be proud and laugh @ you. Nkita ara

Kobojunkie: Again with your ego trying to dictate how things ought to go . . . . how folks ought to spell . . . I would think after almost 2 or 3 years of you incessantly harping on my right to spell the word as I choose to, you would have learnt by now that I do not bow to your whims or that of any member of your gang there . . . I spell the word as I know to spell it. Funny thing is the way you, and your mini-gang here on nairaland, lop that around as some sort of insult /disrespect on Ndigbo, rather than clearly admitting this is about your ego clearly shows you do somehow believe you speak on behalf of Ndigbo. If you have no supporting evidence for your accusations, I think it is time you learnt to focus on the message and not the legitimacy of the messenger since no be your papa or mama own Igboland, nor do they hold all rights to all issues Igbo.
I, a prodigal child? What does that even mean?? Please Grow up!! |

Alj Uche: why is that, are igbos going to flock to UK in 36 months time or what ? please brother i would like to know Reason: more Igbo and Edo coming to the U.K. In 24 months time, Ndigbo and Yorubas will be at par. Then, the gradual overtake will happen. |
