otumfour: Nigerian women are pretty, facial-wise especially (trust me when I say this ) I've always said this, to me the most beautiful gurlz reside in AFRICA! As a Ghanian, you may be in a position to answer this question: Why are Ghanian women in the U.K ugly?. |

PhysicsMHD: What I mean is that the reference he made with regard to the "King of Benin" and the tributary status of his village to the king of Benin precludes an Imo state location and suggests a Delta Igbo location. Also, Isiekenesi sounds nothing like Essaka. Isiekenesi is also called Isieke and pronounced as Iseke. Hence Iseke could be Essaka. The Delta Igbo one looks credible as well but researchers are needed to solve this issue. |

PhysicsMHD: I'm pretty sure that the geographical area that that guy claimed could not have been in Imo state. Just pointing that out. Isiekenesi in Imo state. Olaudah wrote that he came from Essaka. Though some say he is Delta Igbo from Ishaka in Ukwuani area. |

switch47: @muking i gree,i nor well but the next chelsea loss will make me whole & well again, cant wait.lol @IBIME most Nigerian fans claim to follow the top 4 premiership side claiming to be FANS. And it is not uncommon to see them argue & claiming superiority based on trophies they have won and seeing this alone as the basis for following the club like "juju tweets" everton once got 3 Nigerians but did they attract major followership? No,but if Bill gates buys d club tomorow FBS & NATEEVS + CABALI +IBIME go follow talk up toffees. The typical Nigerian fan will seek in vain to understand why lyton orient fc stadium was full to capacity when they are in 3rd division. Following a club in Uk is more like a tradition and love/passion the game/team, Nna Mehn, I can't believe that Switch 47 wrote the above. |

TewMuch: Sure, just like Igbo are claiming Delta people who swear violently that they are not Igbo. I knew you people will jump on this to prove something but you have missed the boat here. There are dialects and cultural influences. My link also proves Ezeche's denial that Yoruba's went as far as Ghana. Boy, you got it wrong. Ndigbo are not claiming Delta state and Never. The point is that there is Igbo in 9 LGA's of Delta state. You guys are the ones who are even claiming Kwara state, a state that has Nupes, Fulanis etc. This is a fact you can not deny. |

where are they getting these drugs from?!!! What a senseless and idiotic thread. The other, your thread was on where to buy ganja. Today, it is how often do Young Igbo boys smoke ganja. Ganja na agba kwa madu ara. I can see that evidence in this your stupendous thread. |

semasir: @TewMuch: the multi-ethnicity in Nigeria doesn't mean that Egun is a subset of Yoruba, rather it simply means they're considered or grouped as Yorubas simply because they fall on the same geopolitical zone. I need you to convince me that a Calabar indigene considering self as an Igbo or others doing same. You are correct. |

semasir: @Isinweke: that's just it, I'm proudly an Egun boy and had never denied it once even when the odds are low. It'd be better if Egun indigenes bear their local names, mine is Semasa as well and I cherish it so much.
@Afam4eva: yes it is but that does not mean Yoruba names must overwhelm Egun names. Have you seen a Chinese bearing others name? It shall be well with you. Egun people should encourage their wards to bear Egun names. Also, they should see themselves as Egun. Some of them see themselves as Yorubas and that is insane. |

@Semasir, It is interesting reading your post. Egun language must be preserved. However, Egun people must bear Egun names, it's a pity a lot of them have abandoned Egun names for Yoruba names. |

Soyinka and Achebe are at par. Achebe's Things Fall Apart has sold more copies than all Soyinka's books combined. The nobel prize Soyinka won is commendable but Achebe is ready to humiliate the organisers of that award and they know it. So no great deal for Achebe. Late last year, I was at Hammersmith Apollo, London, to watch one of Soyinka's plays because I love them, but the theatre was very empty despite the wide advertisements. On the other hand Achebe's things Fall Apart 50th anniversary was celebrated worlwide. I am not from Anambra state nor Ogun state. So view my post from a neutral perspective. |
