King making

Adetayo100: Seems dailymail is linking Maroune Felaini with Chelsea for 20million pounds, it will be a good buy for ChelseaGood news. He is a good passer of the ball; ball winner on the air or floor, can retain possession and has good physical presence. After watching him destroy Man U at Old Trafford last April, I was convinced that Ibime got it wrong all along. |
[/quote][b] ChinenyeN: Is Mbano an LGA or a people?Mbano is an Igbo group under Okigwe zone. There is no longer Mbano LGA instead, there is Ehime Mbano and Isiala Mbano. The dialects in this two LGA's differs from another. However, there are some groups that come under Mbano now but are hitherto not Mbano people e.g Nsu. |
proudly9ja:Go to your nearest chemist shop for some anti malaria medications. Dreams like this happens when malaria is about to strike. |
afam4eva: The dialects you have listed are what we call "spoken central Igbo" but the written form is based somewhere in imo state. I think the Anambra dialects are easier to grasp than those in southern Igbo.Afam you are right. In the southern Igbo areas, the only dialect that is very understandable is the Aro Ndi Izuogu dialect. |
YET, Mbano people has at least 3 dialects. Nsu,Ehime and Isiala dialects are distinct from one another in Mbano. |
1025: @andrew,Am a fan of Mikel and has been close to him since he came to Chelsea after Under 17 in 2003. The most thing to happen to Mikel is to go back to his usual position not this post Makelele role. This his newly adopted role is not helping his game as well as Nigeria. You may not agree with me here but I did discuss this same issue with Didier, Ogbonna Kanu and J. Bosingwa last year when I took them to a dinner in Westfield, Shepherd's Bush, London last year. They all agreed with me. |
@ODUMCHI, red hat is a red hat in any format and in Igbo tradition is meant for titled men. However, people now and days wear red hats as fashion just as people wear the military comourflage as fashion. |
May there Souls RIP. |
In my opinion, if there is a premiership right back we need, it should be Walker of Spurs. This same Sagna that Wigan boys can beat with ease. Anyway, one of the U.K dailies carried the story. Chelsea fans, how about deploying David LUIZ IN THE DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD ROLE?. |
Cech Van der Viel/Sagna, Ivanovic, Terry David Luiz, Ramires Hulk, Mata, Hazard, Torres. Formation: 4-2-3-1. |
Perhaps, commerce and urbanisation changed the status of Onicha. Onicha could have been like any of the villages in Ngwa upon arrival in their present location. They could have been like Eziama, Abayi,Nsulu, Ntigha etc. |
@Nri Priest, there is nothing here to debate. You and I agree on the same principle. Red hats for titled men. Jisie Ike Nnukwu nmanwu. |
@ The palace of the Igwe.

Prior to the coming of the Europeans, there were no Igbo towns or cities except Onitsha. The whole of Igbo clans lived in same kindred-clan settings. Some of the places that has become towns and cities rose as a result of administrative headquarters-Owerri, railway terminus-Umuahia, Aba, Port Harcour; mineral production-Enugu etc. Cancel this examples, Igboland have the same settlement patterns and Igbo people still lay more emphasis on their clans and kindreds more than the towns. I do not really believe that northern half of Igboland is more urbanised than others if not for the coming of the whiteman. |
What Chelsea needs now is one more player to replace Jose Bosingwa,if at all we have signed Hazard and Hulk. |
He is no longer with Chelsea. They joined Chelsea youth team after under 17 youth championship in 2003. Emmanuel Seriki alongside Chinedu Ogbuke, Bala Ezekiel and Michael Obi joined the team at the same time. But only Michael Obi made progress at Chelsea. Nevertherless, May his brother's soul RIP. |
Igbo amaka nuooo!.
|
stillwater: I see Igbo people like red, is there a reason why?I do not really know what you mean here, nevertherless, you hardly see Igbo people paint their houses red, their cars red and wear red shoes. Titled men in Igboland wears red hats which signifies fathers' struggle to establish a family. Apart from this, the Igbo see red as other Africans see it too. |
IYA NGBALI: seconded but i wud prefer we call it OLUYOLE STATEOluyole or Lagelu is not well known as Ibadan. Moreover, a local council in Ibadan is named Oluyole. That will do. |
Igbo bu Igbo.

femmy2010: I don't think new states is what we need at this point in time. But one geo-political zone is only 5 while others are 6, even one of them has 7 states. It is unfair. |
malachy fbi: ...LEGISLATIVE MASTURBATION OKOOOO see for the south east....iTS only ADADA STATE AND EQUITY THAT AREWhat sort of nonsense is equity state. How on earth do you want to take people from so diverse zones to form a state. This nonsense has to stop. As for Adada state, it is too small to be a state. Njaba is the most thing to happen to Ndigbo with 11 local govt areas in Imo state and with Ihiala north and south Ezes in agreement to join Njaba. That will come up to 13 local govt areas. Njaba state movement is the second oldest state agitation movement in Nigeria after Anioma. In my opinion, Anioma state should be created to join the south east. But if it should remain the south south, then Njaba is the best option. Mind you, am not from Njaba zone but I want fairness for Ndigbo. |
Chyz*:Spot on. |
Igbo bu Igbo, gaa n'ihu.

Ich Eze

Ichi Eze in Igboland.

NRI PRIEST: It will be adviceable to know that you must have an "Ozo" title before you wears it in Igboland! So,restrict it to Bini.Only titled men wear those hats and heirs to the throne could also wear it mostly in Okigwe south of Imo state. |
ezotik: ahhh ndigbo is celebrating their monarchs today from nri to aro but tomorrow they will say they never had monarchs and perfected democracy long before the british set foot in nigeria, and day after that they will reverse to monarchy. whatever suits the discussion na dem they claim... ask dede1Prior to the coming of the Europeans, 90% of Igboland had no kings. However, some parts of Igboland either under the aristocracy of the Benin empire or the influence of the Benin empire had kings for example Onitsha and Agbor. Like Nri priest had said earlier, Nri and the Aros had Kings but priestly kings. With the absence of kings in Igboland, the Europeans created warrant chiefs and this creation turned out to be kings today. This kings only got recognition in the 70's. Now they work hand in hand with the government. |

I had a strange dream last night that AW was fired (or he stepped down) as Arsenal Manager.
