dyabman: But there will be some instance whereby we need natural RB for our attacking options not just crosses alone . .
Ivanovic is the answer. Ivanovic is like Ramos of Real Madrid.
When we won the double in 2010, Ivanovic played in that position more than anyone. Our match against Portsmouth that year, he attacked continously and that you will think he was a winger that night. We won the match by a lone goal at the bridge, and it was when he was brought down in the 18 yard box during his successful flights on the wing that night brought us the 3 points.
CultureRe: Ndokwa People Of Delta: Interestd In Finding Out More of ur Background & Culture by AndreUweh(m):
Ndokwa people speak a dialect called Ukwuani. Ndokwa is one of the 9 local councils in Delta state called Anioma or Delta Igbo.
They are a hardworking people and peaceful minded. Their chief town is Kwale, also is Aboh situated along the Great River Niger. The slave of Igbo origin who bought his freedom and later wrote about his life is from Ndokwa. His name is Olaudah Eqiano.

High_Chief: Hulk, Jovetic and Debuchy and we are good for next season. Am sure about 6-7m will seal Debuchy's deal.
Am not too sure of Hulk's deal coming to a conclusion. The chap is yet to agree personal terms neither has Porto agreed to reduce their £40 million asking price.
In my opinion, I would like RDM use Ivanovic as Chelsea's right back as there is no better right back out there. He is the best. With that, we can bring in one more central defender probably Collocini.
Felaini, Ben Arfa and Paizon will be good additions.

Wigan again for our first match. In 2005/06 season, our first match was also against Wigan. Crespo's goal late in that match secured us the the points. All our managers since Roman era has won all their opening fixtures except one. Hope Di Matteo wins his opening match.
PoliticsRe: Eze Ndi Igbo Parliamentary Office - Constitutional Conference in Progress... by AndreUweh(m): 7:28am On Jun 18, 2012
One of the problems of Igboland today is that we no longer have Igbolanguage newspapers. That Igbo newspaper-UDOKA should be brought back to life.
Though Ndigbo are very literate, that paper helped in promoting Igbo language and readership.

This arist is very familiar with Ghana and Ghanian artists. Even one of his songs-Eddie Quasah was about a Ghanian.Probably, that song is from one of the Akan groups in Ghana. Peacocks speaks many dialects and I can remember he sang in Ikwerre dialect in one of his songs.

ChinenyeN: Andre, you misunderstand my post. Corrupt or not, I would have preferred that my people fought harder against did completely did away with the warrant chief institution, rather than going to go borrow external culture to transform warrant chiefs to "ezeship". I know I should take solace in the fact that the "Eze's" in my area are only ceremonial figureheads, but the fact that the "eze" culture has been so adopted is just "mmm" to me.
Omeele wu omeele.
Now can can the position of Ndi eze in your area be improved?.

ChinenyeN: I honestly wouldn't mind seeing this 'ezeship' business end in my area.
It seems that there are some corrupt Ezes in your area. The way forward is to seek for ways to uproot the corrupt Ezes and install the progressive ones rather than abolish the entire institution.
As for my area, our Ezes engage in awarding scholarships to their wards, sink bore-holes, donate block of classrooms to the local school, build town halls etc.

Odenigbo Aroli: I also want to inform some of us that inspite of the "warrant chief" system that the white man introduced that almost destroyed the structure that was already on the ground when they arrived the Igbos still maintained their ancient "Priest King"(Eze Ani) and the "council of elders"(Ndi Ichie); However, the Priest Kings has been relegated to the role of keeping only the traditional obligations including faring for the deities and this position is hereditary....We call these "Eze Ani" the "True King"......Most of the traditional festivals, rituals of the town is presided over by the Eze Ani....They are still very much revered but the Igwes(warrant chiefs) are more famous....Its important to know these as we move forward.....I still think we should revert to the old system and give the Eze Ani their rightful place and give them the same glamour that is accorded to these warrant chiefs and ABOLISH the warrant chief system, afterall the Ezeani was ancient and hereditary which makes it more original.

Umu Igbo ekeneem unu rinne!
Your idea is good but I don't think it is realistic. Your idea can be likened to suggesting that Nigeria should hand over to traditional leaders instead of elites as The British usurped the traditional leaders but handed over to nationalist when they left. Ndigbo have moved on. The Ezes/Obis/Igwes have come to stay just as in other lands.Udo diri gi.

Dudu_Negro: . . .lmao! Andre, can you share why they were abolished for ages?
The reason why in most parts of Igboland, nobody was allowed to ascend Ezeship was to avoid tyranny. There were Ezeship positions which nobody occupied because the conditions were too high. One of the conditions is that the would be Eze must pay the debt of all men in the village. It also included redeeming those in slavery. The debt willl not be paid back. Who had that kind of money to achieve all this?. Even if the debts were paid, how much will be left for the person to cook for the entire village for 21 market days before a coronation feast?.

Itsekiris are Ijebu descendants, says Awujale, calls for Ijebu state

By Ernest Nwokolo
Published 2/05/2010
ijebus are not yoruba

The Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, has declared that the Itsekiri people currently in Delta State are descendants of the Ijebu stock and not part of the greater Yoruba nation.

The monarch said the Itsekiri people in Delta State are true Ijebu sons and daughters stressing that the Itsekiris in the Niger Delta still retain core Ijebu dialect in their language. He said migration for expansion and survival accounted for why they are currently in the Niger Delta area.

The monarch who spoke to journalists as part of preparation for his 50th year anniversary celebration in June this year, also expressed disgust over the nation’s economy being controlled by the federal government, saying it does not augur well for rapid development of the country adding that it undermines self-actualization.

Awujale noted that the only time monarchs in Yorubaland ever came together to see each other was in 1937 when the colonial masters then worked to forge peaceful relationship ‘among us as a way of reducing the inter-tribal wars and its attendants effects."

" We are never one. We are different people and that is the truth. If I speak my Ijebu language, neither somebody from Ekiti, Ondo nor Ibadan will understand and if any person from any of those places speak his, I won’t understand," Oba Adetona said.

Adetona who is often referred to as Orisa Ijebu by his subjects, said it is the uniqueness of the Ijebu people that is behind the agitation for an Ijebu State to be excised from the present Ogun State. He expressed confidence that the dream would be a reality in his lifetime. However, in a statement by the Egbe Irapada Oodua, EIRO on Saturday, the group said the ancestry of the Yoruba people as descendants of Oduduwa has been settled by "intellectuals of international standing both at home and abroad after intensive research which began around 1050 AD."

The group in a statement by Dr Akinlola Sowumi, leader of the group in Ogun State, noted that the Ijebus deserve to have a state but that the agitation could be waged without resort to the distortion of timeless historical evidence about the history of the Yoruba people.
After this, you will now know that you are a fool and feel sorry for yourself.

Ileke-IdI:
And they said Igbos have no king lipsrsealed
At a time the Israelites had no kings, and they demanded to have one like other nations around them.
But in the case of Ndigbo, at first there were Kings, later Kingship was abolished for ages till the coming of the Europeans.
As it is now and ever shall be Ndigbo have Kings.
