This did not happen overnight. We Ndigbo in the U.K fought for the inclusion and recognition. Thanks to the Umuigbo Katolik community in the U.K as well as Igbo Cultural Support Network (ICSN) for achieving this feat. |
Every hospital trust in England and Wales has policies which all employersa nd employee abides by it. Before one takes up an appointment, you are given a form written in small alphabets to sign. You have to be careful before you sign because once that is done, you have consented to abide by the trust policy. In this case, this woman 's case a lost one. In the words, nurses may not wear trousers but in the operating theatres, it is different. For every operating area, it is scrubs top and buttom, cap of different colours and sizes, protective shoes or theatre shoes, a mask may be required of everyone and an eyeshield for some certain procedures. Take it or leave it before you take up your employment letter. |
Omotoso. K. (1988) JUST BEFORE DAWN.Ibadan. It may be old but still stands taste of time. |
@The poster--It's high time you stop starting threads of this sort that results in ethnic bashings. Boy stop this nonsense. @The mods, threads of this sort always results in ethnic bashings. Why not destroy it upon arrival, or do you enjoy all this Yoruba bashing of Ndigbo all the time?. |
oludashmi:It is only someone who is ill that needs a physician. We are Igbo people. When the missionaries and colonialists were around, we corrected them and told them that we are Igbo but it suits them more to write Ibo. Now they have gone, it is only those who want to insult us that continues to spell Ibo. It is also an insult to spell Yoruba. Let us respect one another. We are Igbo. |
Mike Okiro from Rivers state is in the regime of Rochas Okorocha in Imo state. |
oludashmi:You have said this piece of rubbish before and we corrected you. Mind you, there is no place called Ogwuachuwku in Igboland but Ogwashi Ukwu. Tell your confused friends that Ogwashi Ukwu is the home town of Amb Ralph Uwechue-President gen of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo (the top most position in Igboland). It is also the home town of NGOZI Okonjo now Iwuala and Jay-Jay Okocha. They are all proud Igbo people. While Kwale is the home town of Sunday Oliseh, the captain accused of running Igbo mafia in Super Eagles. Sunday Oliseh's mother in Lagos is one of the leaders of Ohanaeze women's wing in Lagos. Kwale is also the home town of Hon Oputa- one of the founding fathers of Igbo state union now Ohanaeze. From your post, I can understand that you hang out with illiterates and those who do not know their left from their right. It is Igbo and the language is Igbo. The plural of an Igbo is Ndigbo. For the third time, understand this simple logic. |
oludashmi:Poor girl, this thread is: Who are the Yoruba in Benin republic?. Deal with it and spare us your long sermon. My post was in response to what the poster before me posted. It is an outright stupidity to quote me without understanding the circumstance that led to my post. |
Very interesting. |
kcswat:There is Yoruba in Benin but they are small. It is about the size of two local govt areas in Ogun state. The three major ethnic groups are found outside Nigeria. For example, Yoruba in Benin, Igbo in Equatorial Guinea and Hausa in Niger republic. |
kindla:Well said. |
First of all, OPC is not militant. Its a progressive group for the defense of Yorubaland. Their action that yu described is inaccurate. Here is what happened. You see Yoruba peple, we always warn before we strike. Or let me say, we used to warn before a strike at the opponent; not anymore! Several times the Northereners tresspased beyond their boundaries. They were warned repeatedly. When our noble OPC struck, it was against the Hausas/Fulanis but you see the Igbos never witnessed or known Yorubas to be insane, . . .the bloodshed they saw shook their apirit and even though they were not under attack, they took to their heels and left town and went East. You can imagine if they were the target, I wonder where they would go. So OPC is not like MEND, MASSOB, BOKO and all those amnestied terrorists out there. You hear my friend?
Has Massob ever been violent?. |
@the O.P. Some Ilorin people are Yorubas while others are not. Final word. |
I lived in Yorubaland and have been to almost all parts of Yorubaland. I was in Ibadan last year's April and till date my relatives resides there. While you have never been to the east before. |
On this day, the most important position in Igboland is held by Amb Ralph Uwechue. |
ezeagu:Not true. |
Interesting. |
