Interesting. |
ispotmdels:Edo people speak Bini, Esan and Etsako. Some Edo people who have spent years in Yorubaland speak Yoruba just like Yorubas who have spent years in Benin speak Bini. |
Igbo criminal the ikas are not igbo and will never be one. ewu go and hang!fishing is an honest job when you compare it to drug trafficking, selling your kidney in Malaysia or being a 419 etc you named it,the igbos are always there.lol why can't my igbo cousins take a joke?always serious about everything.
Hey scumbag, no one wants your useless jokes but an intelligent deliberation. You hardly see any Igbo poster here claiming that the Ijaw in Delta state are not Ijaws. That will be an insult to Edwin Clarke etc. So get back to your empty shell, Anu.s lover. |
Lol fighting over ika people who are not igbos and will never be one. instead of worrying about ika,why can't you guys worried about issues affecting igboland like the osu culture, cannibalism, child trafficking etc. i heard 70 percent members of Mend are igbos. Ika are more bini than igbo!
Ijo fishhead, I know you got your brain very early. Apparently, the warranty has run out. You are not Ika nor from any Igbo group, so scram from here and stop insulting Ika people who are proud Igbo, beast. |

About her dressing, we have long ago agreed that there is Bini influence in Igbo culture as well as Bini influence in Yoruba culture. Above all, she is a proud Igbo. </quote> Andre, A mother caught her son stealing cookie from the jar. Shocked the boy told his mom, the next door boy steals too. Lmao! Exotic said your culture is influenced by Bini, you said yes, but instead of stopping you said "and Yoruba too". What a fool!! FYI, Yoruba culture influenced Bini, not the other way around.
Badass, the Bini empire extended into Igboland as well as Yorubaland. The Aristocracy in some parts of Yorubaland and Igboland was instituted as a result of Bini presence in those areas. E.G Lagos in Yorubaland and Agbor in Igboland. Dismiss yourself from this thread as you have never contributed any thing important so far, Jackass. |

Rgp92:The Igbo because of our decentralization were not easily conquered. I will go on and on if you like. We were the last group to fall in West Africa. From 1886-1929, go and figure. |
exotik:She is not part of Ndieze and Ndichie in Western Igbo. About her dressing, we have long ago agreed that there is Bini influence in Igbo culture as well as Bini influence in Yoruba culture. Above all, she is a proud Igbo. |
Rgp92:I do not really know what groups you mean. As for Ndigbo, they were not easily conquered by the imperialists. Up till 1929, Igbo men and women were still at war with the British. In 1914, it was the British against Western Igbo communities, in 1902, it was against the Aro, in 1905, it was against Ezza etc. Am sure you do not mean that the Igbo were easily conquered. |
nateevs:Na you biko. Well said. |
Isinweke-a people with rich Igbo culture.
|
We will neither tire nor retire until the Igbo in Delta state as well as Igbanke in Edo state attains a statehood in Nigeria. Anioma ekelem unu. NdiIgbo worldwide ekelem unu.
|
Thanks for the link, Nateevs. |
Nateevs, please can you post the link so that I can watch it as well, Biko. It is not on skysports. |
nateevs:which station in the U.K are you watching it. Chelsea TV seems to be showing old friendly in Thailand. |
It is Rangers vs Chelsea today. CECH FERREIRA, COLE, ALEX, TERRY, MIKEL, RAMIRES, LAMPARD, STURRIDGE, TORRES, KALOU. CHELSEA LINE UP. |
Odumchi Add another option to be called new religious movements. They include Guru Maharaji, Eckenker, Grail message, Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (Olumba), Hare Krishna etc. Though am Anglican. |
May God bless the Igbo in Delta state (Anioma) and the entire Igbo nation.
|
Dedicated to Ogbuefi1, Omonuan, Chyz and all the Delta Igbo people in this thread.
Ibos don't know where they come from or how they got where they are, they just know they speak same language and couldn't even tell the origin of the language. How can a people just say we come from everywhere? Where is everywhere?
Igbo bu Igbo, ndi Iro puru okuko uzo lakpuo. Get this right into your cranium, Ndigbo have different ancestral roots, but we are happy we are Igbo. Some came from Bini, Mideast, Igala, Ibibio etc. It is not our problem. I know you have learnt a lot of Igbo since you have been resident Igbo nairalander, so you should be able to interpret my opening remark, just my advice to you. |
Ukwuani, Ika and Ekpeye are mere dialects of Igbo language and not separate ethnic groups. It is same as Ekiti, Ijebu and Awori that are Yoruba. |
There is no ethnic group in Enugu state called Mbembe. You also failed to list Igbo in Akwa Ibom state. Ndoki are Igbo people that are spread into Abia, Rivers and Akwa Ibom state. |
@tHE POSTER, HOW COME YOU ARE NOW THE MOST INSULTED NAIRALANDER. Something is really wrong for all this insults to be flying in from all and sundry. Examine your self. |
gist4real:It seems your keyboard can not type IGBO. |
odumchi:It is like that with other ethnic groups. West African societies are patrilineal. |
good one op
@Alh Harem, is there any reason why Nigerian successive govts do not want to include ethnicity in census data?. |
Bialegend:Some confused Igbo do that as well. Few of them will like to say Igberre,Ikwerre, Nkwerre etc. But they are all Igbo. Ijebu, Oyo, Ekiti are all Yoruba. |
A lot of Igbo people whom I know see Nairaland as a Yoruba website and will not attempt to register in it. Nevertherless, Ndigbo and Yorubas are equally represented here i.e 35% Igbo and 35% Yoruba. |

i love Igbo people, so dont get me wrong. What im trying to say is that we Africans should stop calming what we aint. And what is good about jew ? most of the thing written in the old and new testamen was a ripoff from other religion that exist at that time.
No wonder we were easliy conquered. I hope none of my Africans brothers and sisters belive this.
