pleep: Yes, the borders of Africa need to be re-written. Biafra should stretch from the niger River to southern Cameroons. The Awera rebublic should contain all the hausa/fulani lands in Nigeria and Niger. The Yoruba nation should include Western Nigera and Benin

There is no reason why these great ethnic groups should be divided by Artificial borders.
Why can't they share the same country.

SA has a large number of difrent tribes but other than a breife period of vilonce between the khosa and zulu during the eraly 1990s we have lived and worked along side each other. Nigeria took so long to become a power it is now due to miss mangement.

This tribal diffrencess will tear Nigeria apart.

pleep: Those "south africans" who were building your weapons during the sanctions... including chemical weapons designed only to affect 'blecks' have gone back to Europe.

Yes, but i wouldn't be a civilian i would be a soldier. There are some things more important than life, and if Biafra had succeded it would undoubtably be West Africa's greatest nation.
That most foolish thing I have heard. And is totaly wrong. Why would you even think that.

And be the one killing those civlians.

And what wrong with bieing raised by singel parent.
Foreign AffairsRe: South African Woman Are The Most Financially Independent In Africa by andrewza:
souldust: @ijeoma what exactly are you saying? The truth is, SA women cannot be more financially independent that naija women for several reasons.

First, SA is a welfare state. Which means they give unemployment benefits and other handouts. This, we know, kills inovation and strong enterprenueral spirit. No wonder they have a very small informal sector. Now compare that to Naija where an overwhelming majority of the people are in the informal sector and majority of these people in the informal sector are women! Make no mistake; that she is selling peper or akara should not make you think she is getting nothing from her business. You need to check her out when she is going to church or any social gathering. You will mistake her for an elite.

And no! Her husband did not get her her attire. She also gives money for food to her children every morning to take to school. She does other miscellanious spendings in the house so that in the end, her contribution to the welfare of her matrimonial home almost equals that of her husband
Did you bother to check how much money is given through welfare and who can get it. Not every one qulfies for welfare.

That not independent. That just providing a boost to the mans income.

The Biafran war was Africas biggest conventional war. Unlike the huge conflicts in the congo or liberia where soldiers just go around looting and murdering civilians Nigeria's war had a distinct front line, and every military branch was represented. We used tactics

Both sides had an Airforce, Navy and an army. We also had a sustainable wartime economy with the Biafrians even able to produce chemical grenades, rockets and armored cars despite the blockcade.

After giving further thought on this topic, i have changed my opinions... there is a fundamental difference between Nigerians and South Africans that would make us win a war against them. That is our resourcfulness, the same reason why Nigerian dominate The South African economy.

You are right.... ground troops are almost obsolete. In my opinion tanks and gunpowder artilery is also.

Since World War II there has never been a nation able to win a conventional war without air superiority. What Nigeria needs to focus on is missile defense systems, attack helicopters, fighter jets and bombers. If we rule the air we can beat anybody

just ask Isreal, they were able to defeat 6 nations based on airpower alone.
Since when Is Nigerias economy strong than SA. Our GDP is still bigger, we have more comanies in the top 200 brakets and even if your GDP over takes us it only due to nigerians over population since our GDP per capita is far far higher than Nigeria.

And you do know that SA built it wepaons during it's own sanctions. And even now we are building our own wepaons. So please don't talk foolish things here.

Nigeria is a messed up place. I can't beilfe people want a milltary coup. You do know the outcome will not be very good. Investers will pull out, during the turmoil radical elements will gain a foot hold, other countries will stop doing buissnes with nigeria. In the end Nigeria will turn in to at best zimbabwe at worst somlia.

agaugust: .

andrewza, your brain works half capacity and you make a F00L of your self more and more each day.

i NEVER said on page 114 of this thread that nigeria signed a defence pact with ukarine, i said a "defence deal, maybe a pact", or you dont have english dictionary in south africa ? you dont know the meaning of 'maybe' ? thats my quote below from page 114.

andrewza got infected with brain malfunction from snydergp and msauza. in the english dictionary (try buy one) there is no definition of defence pact, only the word pact and a pact means an agreement and it has no strict or rigid type. a defence pact can be for soldiers to help (nigeria has too many soldiers we dont need any outside help) or maybe sales of weapons from seller's existing armoury (ukraine has surplus jet fighters and armoured vehicles which nigeria can need), the pact may also be a guarantee of quick supply of new weapons manufactured in a guaranteed time during emergency of war.

your south african brain cannot think deep and wide, its been locked up in white man boers cage for too long in soweto, and it will permanently function at half capacity unless you get a full brain transplant.

my post about ukraine's SU-25 Jets sold or given to nigerian airforce for mali war, is with source weblink clearly written below it, but i know your problem, you could not use your brain to navigate the complex sweden based arms trade log and open the ms word log to see many weapons sold to nigeria. so you said i am a f00l if i dont prove my claim which is inside the source i already posted before now on page 114. your mini-b.rain could not navigate that posted source on page 114 and extract the information.

well i will prove now that you andrewza is the big time F00L from the womb before you were born.

let this nigeria brain of mine take your half south african brain back to school now read and learn from me....

step 1 : weblink to cope and paste on your browser http://armstrade.sipri.org/armstrade/page/trade_register.php

step 2 : go to supplier list , select ukraine

step 3 : go to recipient list, select nigeria

step 4 : go to years box, select 2002 to 2012

step 5 : go to weapons system to include, select all

step 6 : F00L go to layout, select suppliers

step 7 : IDI0T click on download button

what you will see is ms word details from sweden's international research institute arms sales monitor showing some NOT ALL (i need to remind you as an IDI0T) only some of the weapons sold or given to nigeria by ukraine including the SU-25 Jets in 2012 delivered in 2013 and nigeria and ukraine NEVER announced it publicly since 2012 until delivery in 2013.
that is what we mean when we say nigerian weapons cannot be fully listed because of our military secret policy. ukraine too co-operated by keeping their mouths shut for one whole year until this month. nigerians on this forum have been proved right again in all and all we have been saying and repeating.

andrewza tell me, are you the president of ukraine to determine if they will do defence special agreement with nigeria? do you know what a former soviet country can do when they see oil dollars on the table ? andrewza, you need to visit a psychiatric doctor and take snydergp and msauza along in your car, let them see the doctor after you, but make sure doctors scan y.our own brain first, the scanner could get infected by your two friends.

to complete my upgrading of your south african potato sized mini-brain, i have helped you further to copy and paste the whole ms word log below so that i can fully save you from disgracing yourself andrewza my dear friend.

is this the type of half brains south africans wants to use to defeat very intelligent nigerians in a real war ?

3 things

you did say pact in your own words and crazy boasts that ukrain would provide masive milltary support in a war. you claim it is secrit yet you know about it, witch is very strang indeed. Selling wepaons even conducting joint war games does not mean there is a deffense deal, pact, alliance or any other term. you like to make crazy boast and brag about nigeria a country you ran away from.

you have a lot of grunts but limted support staff, high end technical support and logistics. High end wepaons such has fighters can not just be given and then put straight in to use, your pilots would be a bigger danger to them selfs. you sure you undstand the milltary, you show a great lack of knowleg.

You have spent to much time in America and now think Nigeria is America. It the only way to explian your behaver.

And I asked have they been used in mali. So far only alpha jets and j7 are in mali no SU25s. You fail to understand how long it takes to get a new aircraft operational, unless nigeria has hired mercanery pilots. You should maybe stop thinking like a nigerian.

If it all so secrit how do you a American know all this infomation.

You do relize ukrain dose not actualy need to import oil from Nigeria and they don't own any major oil companys. They all so have no need to sighn any deffense deals with nigeria since it is a one way deal, they get nothing out of it. And you still have not mentioned how you know about all these secrite documents and deals.

Since when have we siad non of those things where in nigeria, please do tell me. And please tell me are those 2 SU25s in mali. You still show great lake of knowlege.

You enjoy boasting and give your own opion has fact, and when shown to be wrong go on persnall attacks.

You fail to understand. I am pointing out that the SANDF dose not have a problem with AIDS. And that only 8.5% have AIDS. I fail to see how numbers matter.

for those that claim SA is a AIDS filled country, here is somthing to chew on. The SANDF prelance rate is only 8.5 percent lower than nigerias national level. This is due to high level of education, traing and support.

snydergp: 1) What balisitic missiles are u talking about when NK ballistic missiles haven't even reached its full maturity yet even with there recent missile launches.

2)What sales of arms are China hiding because even if they will hide the name of the country the total sales of arms are still logged. Pakistan is China's biggest military ally in Asia yet the matority of dealings especially hardware are disclosed, so Nigerian acquisitions aren't any different.

3)What J-10 or Leopard are you talking about show the link where the deals where signed, China does disclose there Aircraft sales there's no secretes on that front, and stop talking nonsense the same globalsecurity site have said you struggle to even meet your maintenance demands of your current fleet. That site says there was talks about acquisition of the J-10 but your current budgetary funding restricts such purchases, Nigeria can't even maintain 6 C-130's let alone a fleet of J-10's which maintenance and operations cost will put your NAF under severe strain which is already the case now.

4)Where in the world have u heard that planes bought within a months are already being put into operation, do you even know how long it takes for a airforce even if you had training on the subsystems to be cleared for active deployments especially in conflict zones. You continuesly show your lack of knowledge on defense matters.

5)The SU-27 may be a good fighter but its not on the same BVR level and generation compared to the Gripen JAS-39 (If posted the link and specifications some time ago) that's why Russia is replacing them with the SU-35's currently. Where did you get that dream of Ukrainian SU-27's will support you in a armed conflict, is this now coming from the same Nigeria who claims they are the giants of africa. Defense procurement/training agreements don't translate into combat support unless if there's strategic economic losses, even then its a almost 80% guaranteed non starter.

The lightest parameters of a military pact were detailed in the article i posted. It can be as little as simple training drills or as serious as arms deals. A defense pact is not some all important unbreakable alliance like you think it is.
And agust is trying to tell us that Nigeria and ukrain have a deffense pact where ukrain will come to nigerias Aid. You do not need to say aliance to have a aliance and many deffense pacts are a form og aliance.

A defense pact is a very loose term... it can mean as little as join training exercises or military contracts. It does not mean both countries have to enter war to defend each other.
SADC has a deffense pact not a alliance. The terms are if one country gets attacked the others must help. The term alliance has not been used in a long time.

A deffense pact and a milltary reshinship is 2 diffrent things. A deffense pact means if you go to war the outher guy must help you out. Exampil is NATO. Now do you really think that if nigeria goes to war ukrain and pakistan are going to weaken them selfs (remember SA has a public not some hidden and fales) deffense pact has part of BRICs. Though nieth russia or china is obliged to provide solders they will provide aid and internation pressure. There goes any though of support from the ukrain or pakistan.

all4naija: Where did I say Zulus are uncivilized in any of my comments. Using Zulu to depict the uncivilized nature of many black South Africans don't mean Zulus are uncivilized. Just that I find something not so interesting in their way of dressing on Leopard skin as a savagery nature. Sorry, I don't see anything civilized in half-unclad person in Leopard skin holding spear and shield dancing Zulu around the street while attacking innocent African immigrants. That to me is uncivilized. That is only my depiction using the word Zulu. Please, stop killing innocent leopards for clothing! Leopards are not African immigrants too.

Your police men(only the most vicious ahead of Nigerian police on the continent)are notoriously known for acting wicked. Having said that, the few good ones tend to go on civilian clothes to help monitor the condition of things around tourists is a fact that must not be denied and should not be twisted in whatsoever way, as you are trying to do in your comment. There is ample evidence that they are likely to infuriate others on the streets that general citizens though. I can deduce from many video compilations on-line to prove they are what I said they are.

I have nothing much to say about this your comment than I am not a serial xenophobic individual nor do I hate my South African brothers and sisters. If for saying things the way they are in your country, for you to make some changes, is hate to you then let be it. In all exigences, I can confirm with facts from many of my posts that I am for the good of Africa, to move the continent forward by putting away all forms of xenophobic hates, incessant committing of crimes, molestation of girls, child abuses, ignorance and all barbaric practices.

i know your problem and your new frustration.
from the early to middle pages of this thread, you have been enjoying laughing at nigerian military old weapons like Vickers armoured tanks, NNS Aradu warship, and F-7 jets. it was fun to you then, but now towards the end of this thread your laughter has turned into crying because we nigerians have been posting photos and weblinks sources of new nigerian military weapons, including...

77 T-72BM armoured tanks upgraded

6 Stealth light frigates and stealth fast attack naval crafts

many navy Israeli advanced Shaldags and Dutch Catamarans vessels

24 flying leopard jet fighter-bombers on order

40 BTR 3U Guardian laser guided anti-tank misiile IFV delivered

133 ZBD-97 anti-aircraft missile enabled IFV

40 SandCat very mordern Israeli MRAPS

more Mi-35 Hinds helicopter gunships

SU-25 ground attack jets

new Romanian advanced versions Mobile Rocket Artillery Launchers

over 200 units force armoured Cobra IFV

over 72 units VBL amoured IFV

67 units MT LB IFV

48 units sophisticated Archer mobile artillery

and many more i cannot count....

your south african boasting has finally crashed into the pit hole. then you become very i.nsane in your thinking, you behave like a man bitten by mad dogs with rabies disease called "aja digbolugi" in nigeria.

your dream of being able to defeat nigeria in military combat has proved to be just a dream and faded away forever. i may wish to answer your posts or not to answer from now on. despite the lack of photos of nigerian military weapons due to our own military attitude of avoiding photograhs, i have proved my point and all my fellow nigerians too have proved their points and we all know for sure,
that nigerian military is NOT on the list of countries south african military can defeat.

go try your luck with togo or congo republic, so that nigeria will not send your military to heaven before their God appointed time of obituary.

South africa has not even really reported that there was a summit. So don't act has though Nigeria is being signelded out. If SA, Ghana, Angloa, ethypoia where the 4 countries going then yes niggeria could be left out. But this summit would have verry littel for nigeria to worry about.

agaugust: china tries to limit information about weapons sales if the buyer has reasons, like nigeria is in state of war though small scale, but we have enemies fighting nigeria from inside and outside our country. no wise country in that situation will f00lishly go to newpapers and announce every major weapons it signed order or contract to buy, what will the military gain from that publicity. simple common sense can judge.

nigeria lost the chance to get ballistics missile technology from north korea just because newspapers published the story and the USA raised objection to dealing with a t.errorist north korea that threatens world peace with nuclear weapons, then nigeria cancelled the ballistic missile plans with north korea, i think nigeria has learnt some bitter lessons and we know when to talk and when to keep quiet about weapons. common sense judgement.

china limits its weapons sales information, read the story quouted and its weblink below .

"Pakistan - which accounted for 55 percent of Chinese arms exports - is likely to remain the largest recipient of Chinese arms in the coming years due to large outstanding and planned orders for combat aircraft, submarines and frigates," SIPRI global report says. Bangladesh received 7 percent of the arms while Algeria, Venezuela and Morocco have bought Chinese-made frigates, aircraft or armored vehicles in the past several years.

China does not release figures for its arms sales."

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/china-replaces-britain-worlds-top-five-arms-exporters-003324632.html

however, we cannot rule out a last minute change of plan in any weapons purchases being cancelled like the south african airbus A400M aircraft strategic transporter even after money had been paid.

the flying leopard jet figher-bombers deal was signed for nigeria in china, sources i quoted says that. i checked other information in that source website and they are correct, so it is a reliable source. if the leopard jets purchase is later cancelled, their is nothing new about weapons contract cancellation in the world today.

example is the nigerian purchase order with china for F-8III finback jets signed 2009 as a more advanced replacement for the F-7 airguard jets, but the F-8 finback contract was cancelled to favour the J-10 super in 2010 when nigerian military watched J-10 air display at an airshow. nigeria can wake up tomorrow and cancel the leopard contract in favour of JF-17 thunder of J-20 stealth fighter jets. nothing new in the world contract cancellation.

read the F-8III finback story below, published before F-8 finback jet purchase was officially cancelled to change over to J-10.

By 2010, Nigeria's lead fighter was the Alpha jet light combat-trainer. The 2005 Appropriation Act passed by the National Assembly and signed by President Olusegun Obasanjo has provision of N3 billion [roughly US$250,000,000] for the "procurement of Chinese aircraft" for the NAF. In August 2009 it was reported that Nigeria had signed an agreement with a Chinese firm for the supply of new combat jets - the (Finback) F-8IIM - to the service. Discussions on the new jets had begun in 2003. In August 2010 Reuters reported that Nigeria was a potential bulk buyer of the J-10 fighter. By one estimate, a J-10 cost the PLA Air Force about 190 million yuan ($27.84 million), compared to the $15 million-plus price tag on a US F-16 fighter.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/nigeria/air-force-equipment-intro.htm

i have not read any published any source talking about signing contract to buy SU-27 or SU-30, but like i posted in my comments many times on this forum, even the first day i joined nairaland on page 12 (go back and read) i said it repeating several times that Nigeria has a secret defence deal, maybe a defence pact with Ukraine and that is why we are not worried about F-7 jets we have.

check again between pages 100 to 110 i commented again that if war happens today, nigerian air force will shock south african airforce because within 7 days of the war you will about 50 SU-27 jets air superiority flying in lagos and abuja with nigerian flag and roundel colours on them, with ukrainian mercenary pilots who have perfect skill to fly the jets, nigeria has billions of oil dollar to pay for it from our $50 billion cash reserve.

those nigerian military generals, air marshals and admirals are not fools, they know what to do when war comes, they know all the most advanced weapons in the world and they know how to match any opponent that faces nigeria in war. south africa cannot defeat nigeria in war. absolute fact.

now the whole world can prove me right...Ukraine has transferred 2 SU-25 ground attack jets to Nigeria without anybody expecting it, and its because we need it for Mali war. you can go back to my african military rankings on page 12 of this forum and read what i said, that i rank nations according to their ability to transform their weapons capability into a more powerful force within 2 weeks of war.

if south africa goes to war with nigeria tomorrow we will shock y.our Grippen jets with NIgerian/Ukranian SU-27 flanker air superiority jets twice as many in number as your Grippen. you south africans may refuse to believe that i work in a military consultancy, but the things i say here, time will prove me right.

congratulations nigrian army received the very modern BTR 3U Guardian IFV with great anti-tank missile role from Ukraine 40 units in number, i found it on world arms sales log, photo below.

weblink of arms trade log BTR 3U IFV Nigeria/Ukraine , http://armstrade.sipri.org/armstrade/page/trade_register.php

it is very hard to track all nigerian weapons purchases in this war time, no single source can publish everything we are buying now from all over the world.

Limt yes but china has not report any sales has far has I can see. And nigeria is not at war any more. Most of it is now poliece work. By your notion SA is at war with pouchers. A lot of whom are better armend and traind than BH. Though they operat in smaller numbers. Still 100 game rangers have been killed. No SANDF or PMC have been killed yet but fire fights are comomon.

China is not NK. America will not stop any sale other than nukes. And the fact nigeria went to NK for there SLBM is strange. They have mostly outdated copies of russian stuff. China and russia will both sell complete SLBM and America will not interven.

They don't release figures but they don't have to. You can go and check SA wepaons sales and you can see there it some times says somthing like this "(what ever item), destnation unamed middel east country, numbers not reported. But all ways what being sold gets reported. Even if it is jus a class like Fighter bomber.

The A400M money was returnded last year. So now we can buy a new aircraft. Has I said before amrica is markting the C17 at all our AAD shows since we cancelled the A400M personally I think we should just buy the russian transport planes we lease for our UN support missions.

So no money has been spent. Thus it just a wish list so far.

Urkrain. You sure you not on drugs. They would not sighn a deffense pact with a country that could not help them and may end up in a war. So unless you can show a logical resoan I am going to have to call you crazy. On the other hand SA has public deffense pact with SADC, india, brazil, china, russia and a strong milltary relashinship with the UK, germany, finland, and sweden.

Yes yes with what pilots and from where. Ukrain won't help you and how will they get there. Telportasion.

So are those SU 25 in mali being flown by nigerians. If so provid source.

Really provid a source or proof you a fool.

Just a point of refrence. You should say a pic is not of a nigerian one. Because that is not nigeria.

I see you like to make crazy notsions that a backed up by no proof or weak sources. I mean you really want me to beilfe that ukrian has a deffense pact that no body but you knows about with Nigeria. Really you must be on drugs.

sheyie2007: Some block headed nigga hid Andrewza post? huh Theirs nothing wrong wif what he posted
I think it was my link. Every time i link Defensweb i get band by anti spam bots.

Any case i was talking about link ZA, Africa's Only Data link system that cost a massive amount of money. SA tried to buy the NATO Data link system but was told we would never get there sytem. So we made our one. What is a Data link system. It contexts every radio in the SANDF to each other and lets them share information. What dose this mean. Where in the old days it took 10min to get artillery to get on target now it takes 90sec, Our fighters can see what every other radar can see, video can be transmitted in real time, extra extra. It is a massive force multi plier and mean a small force can achieve a lot more.

pleep: ^ that is nice, you have any idea how good the anti-tank gun is?

Can it outrange an abrams. what about a t-34? What battle tank does south africa use?
it is not a tank. it is a IFV

but non the less.

The M1 is a good tank for America but has a hungry fuel tank and heavy logistic needs.

The T34 is very very outdated.
