How dose a regular citizen become a warrior in one day. Just because you know what end to point at the enemy dose not make you a warrior. But yes I agree that they are good but still laking in certain key functions. |
Do not knock russia out. They may not be the richest or have the best army but they are more power full than ever and have a habit of being able to surprise the world with there unexpected victories over much larger forces. 2 big examples are france during the naplion and WW2 against germany. They where predicted to loose but in both case pulled out great victory's. |
Is there not a topic just like this one. Any case. South Africa. We got the best trained and the best gear. Almost all of our hardware is indigenous and those that are not we still manufacture all the spare parts for. This means we are not depended on out side help. We all so got the best C4I2R capabilities in Africa witch means a lot has we can use our forces much more effectively than other African nations. I will admit in some areas there are other African army's with better hardware(Egyptian tanks, for example) but has a whole we are better and those high tech hardware are maintained by or with the help of outsiders. |
andrewza: Firstly the xenophobia violence was not a state event nor aimed towards Nigeria. And we are the back bone of SADC at least in a economic and military side witch translates in to political side of things. No, your not the economic and military backbone of SADC. First of all. SA only dominates Botswana, Namibia , Lesoto and Swaziland only. Only thing that SA has in SADC are 2 or Banks, Shoprite, MTN or Vodacom (which are expensive than other networks anyways) and perhaps Nandos. thats all about it. In the real sense, SADC founding nations are not dependent on SA at all, but rather trades big with China and the West. And Militarily. SA only has that advanced military Technology. But members such as Angola, Tanzania and other big members are not intimidated by SA's military muscle, most member countries not dominated by your economy either We provide all of the advanced and specialist abilities to the SADC stand by brigade. We all so provide technical support for a lot of them. we all so proved training for them. So yes we are the lead force in SADC.not only due to our military strength but all due to the support we provide. In the Economic front we have the strongest economy in africa. Our ports are needed by the rest of SADC. Most of there goods come through them even other coastal nations use our ports. Even though we have electrical shortages we still sell to the rest of SADC. We are with out a doubt the richest nation with the highs standard of living. I am not saying Nigeria is poor or weak. But you can not say that we are not the richest or most heavily armed or best trained military force in probably in africa. We have the 17 largest stock exchange in the world. And more production ability than any other nation in africa. |
I was just pointing out differences and why there is conflict. I do not support a lot of my government's decisions and do not even support a lot of what the opposition is saying. I all so do not think our relationship is that bad. We are doing a lot for each other. You are buying patrol boats from us creating money in our country. And many civilian company's are now operating in Nigeria to name some of the areas where we work together. But our governments have different views and goals witch some times clash together. |
Firstly the xenophobia violence was not a state event nor aimed towards Nigeria. And we are the back bone of SADC at least in a economic and military side witch translates in to political side of things. Next the only reason there is animosity is because we both regional powers but south africa wants more and this puts them in conflict with Nigeria has we step in to your back yard. Has for do we want war with Nigeria. No. War is costly and we have no means of putting ground forces of any large size in Nigeria with out support of other nations including nation next to you. The most we could do is a navel blockade. I do not see us working together we both have different ideas and philosophies concerning how we want to. Deal with the world. On a related note south africa is pushing for chairmen ship of the AU and a permanent seat on the UN security council. |

What is the problem with pockets. They are of great help to store things. And it will not stop bribe tacking |
Some how i do not think that NATO wants to break you guys up. All the oil company's are there's all ready. I all so do not see a heavy UK/NATO presence in Nigeria. They may have spec ops and command control elements but I doubt much more than a few 100 if any at all. But they may provide training and gear. |
For a operational uniform for use by specialist units it is a good choice. And pockets are imported. I would not think that this is a good choice for every day patrols in the city. It is to aggressive and may give a a bad image. For that a plain uniform like blue on blue is a better idea. |
personally i think South Africa is the best. Strong economy and great public service for a African nation. Yes there are problems crime and ADIS the biggest of them, but we are making progress which is good. On Nigeria you not the worst. I guess it is all about where you go there. |
you really need to get a real fighter air craft. Even some old F16 would be a good buy has they are multi role and can there for be of use, since i doubt you will see many dog fights. all so your flag ship is old but the best in the region and one of the best in Africa. Still how often dose it sail. Due to your threat some good FAC/OPV are better than a old frigate (from defence web) https://www.defenceweb.co.za/images/stories/SEA/SEA_NEW/2009mar10_OPV_400x301.jpg These are South Africa warrior strike craft used has a OPV. Something like these are a good choice. We are replacing ours soon with new ones that will have a helicopter facilities. |
These big budet movies are good because they cost so much but there are a few small B grad movies that are good. Not has many though. |
Has a South African i do not really care if we apologise or show you middle finger. Really i do not care. That is my reaction to the apology |
How is south africa in a economic decline. We have a robust economy that is not depended on one resource. We all so have greater manufacturing abilities. Case in point there are boats in use by Nigeria that are built in south africa at our navel base. I am watching it get launched has I type this. We have all so joined bric to now form BRICS. What dose Nigeria produce other than oil do you build any of your own cars radars air craft components or any thing that gets sold out side of africa. And if your economy is growing why are there people from Nigeria migrating to South Africa and not South Africans migrating to Nigeria. You more like Saudi Arabia than china. Strong economy depended on oil. Recently some American army rangers came to south africa to go on a survival course presented by the SA special forces. Last year we all so trained with the American marines. We may not be in any wars and our toat number of troops on peace keeping may be less than yours. But when we train we benchmark against the nations like Germany and America. It is for this reason we feel our navy it not where it should be. We have no doubt in our minds we the best in africa. But we not best in the world but we still able to punch above our weight level. Our army is world class though. We still not the best in the world we now that but we are at first world european level. |
Hi i am a member of the SANDF and will point out one think that has been forgotten C4I2R no it is not spam, it is something the SANDF has that makes it so good even though we are a small force to Nigeria that and our training and gear is world class. all so the Americans rated our submarine service 3rd best conventional force in the WORLD. We all so have the strongest economy. |
