agaugust: Fool, SANDF did not exist in World War I and II, or Angolan war. I said SANDF not old Apartheid era SADF....you failed comprehension in school, fool . They the same servers. After apartheid the liberation movements joined SADF to great SANDF. That's why SANDF has units with battle honours drone the days of the UDF. |

EVarn: lol @malay pig. south africans dont realise that intelligence is as important as military. the 'cold war' is always the war of intelligence agencies, the war before a war. SA is so certain that they are off terrorist radar due to low muslim presense. They where knowen about and tracked. They never conduct a single hostile act in sa. All so most of the reports are about other nations requesting help from South Africa. |

they are south africans, but you want to grab land from them

i hope you vote them president next election. Iol O It's a lot more complicated than that. Time made us Africans not money. And if that so what. |

Henry120: Not according to the cables. The fact is, the mossad infiltrated Denel, and where able to conduct an operation which lead to the disappearance of mokopa missile blue-prints and chips.
The Israelis only returned the chip and blue-prints when they were done with it, and still hoodwinked the South-African government into releasing their (israeli) spy. The 2 thirds where south African denel employies. Any case mossade is one of best In the game yet we where able tail one for days. The fact we tailed and spied on them shows we don't trust them. |

EVarn: hehehehe..if you can 'borrow' fuel, then surely you can also borrow battery. or betterstill,'purchase' it on credit..hehehehehe We where refunded a porstion due to a manufacture defect and bought the rest. Weather on instalments or in puppies it matters not. S101 has been at sea for some time now. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 9:06am On Feb 24, 2015 |
Henry120: Not really. Your spy agency is a western lackey like i've always suspected.
Blue prints are stolen all the time, there actually isn't any proof from the released cables which show the chinese were involved.
The mossad stole your blueprint, and still pressurised your government into releasing their Agent in your custody for the chip. Actually it was sold to him by the thiefs. SASS tracked it down to mossad. A deal was then made. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 8:57am On Feb 24, 2015 |
Henry120: Not quite. It's shocking to most of us, seeing that we are seeing this piece of news for the first time.
Despite your government's "brouhaha" with Israel in the open, your spy agency deals extensively with the mossad. We where conducting deals with the anc during the 1980s to and there was open hostilities. All so we still prety close to israle no matter what the ANC says. |

Henry120: Interesting Read.
Spy Cables expose how theft of SA missile technology was 'covered up'
Cape Town – A secret Israeli spy cable has exposed an alleged cover up surrounding the theft of South African missile technology, according to cables in Al Jazeera’s possession. On Monday the news organisation announced that it was in possession of leaked documents from State Security Agency (SSA) operatives showing how South Africa became vulnerable to foreign espionage after the end of apartheid. The cables, obtained by Al Jazeera, span a period from 2006 to the end of 2014, and include detailed briefings and analyses written by the operatives. Al Jazeera is set to start releasing the documents to the world on Monday evening.
In one of the document, obtained by Al Jazeera’s Investigative unit, it reveals how SA spies hid the fact that Israel had obtained stolen weapon plans. According to one of the cables two men were caught red-handed trying to sell stolen missile blueprints, software and components from Denel. Police launched a sting operation, posed as Russian buyers, and made their arrests outside Johannesburg in 2010. Somehow, Israel’s Mossad had got hold of the anti-tank missile blueprints. It sparked a behind the scenes battle between the two nations spies. South Africa wanted the blueprints back, which Israel agreed to provided that a citizen, Yitzhak Talia, would not be prosecuted, the cable shows. He was not and it appears South Africa covered up Israel’s involvement and got its blueprints back. Two men were tried without any mention of Israel’s secret role. The SSA’s spokesperson Brian Dube told News24 the agency was aware of “this project”. “Our policy that regulates the management of all classified documentation remains in place. That is all really that we can say.”
News24 had contacted the Israeli Ambassador for comment, but was told by his secretary that until he had seen the documents, he is in no position to comment. You only steal what's good. So far they have not avtualy revealed any truly shocking piece of news. |

EVarn: but you guys come swaggering in here, claiming that SANDF troops were drafted to CAR to train government troops. if you read the source, many mysteries would be revealed before your eyes. your government downplayed the casualty figure in CAR,for fear of being labelled weak. They where. The second team of 200 only moved in one year before the battle. They can't down play the losses, no solder will let his comrade death go unrecognized. Thanks to our union no solder who leaked su h info would ever get punished. |

EVarn: BLUE LIES!! over 36 SANDF troops died, with 26 more injured.infact, seleka's commander alledged to have capture 42 SANDF troops, while eyewitnesses and french sources claimed to have counted 50 body bags. . . http://www.dispatchlive.co.za/news/rebels-claim-more-sa-soldiers-died-in-car/ . . http://africajournalismtheworld.com/tag/sandf-losses-in-car/ You had 200 combat troops who went to CAR to help secure SA's mining interests, they were drafted, and perhaps paid by bozize to act as mercenaries under full authority of the government in pretoria.you didnt go to train CAR government troops, contrary to your claims about train CAR troops. All been disprooven. One sa solder was captured. The report that claimed the extra solders killed could not exolian where the bodies went. I mean dead people don't vanish. Actually I suspect they did see 50 body bags. But where there bodies in them. Bozzie pay for them? With what money. Sure South Africa had minning interests and other interested in CAR. We would not have been there other wise. |

EVarn: Mr Andrewza,i want to ask you a few questions, and i would love it if you answer them truthfully: how many paratroopers were killed in CAR? how many SANDF troops were there in the first place? let me stop at those two for now. 13 died in CAR with 2 deaths latter on back in SA That's a hard one actually. The training team was around 50 with the protecstuon team at 200. During the battle SA flew in a medical team and a rapid response speciol forces team. I forgot there numbers but the SF team had 5 hornets. The total force was under 300 every one included. |

EVarn: 'racists' who speak the truth and support their arguements with proven citations. Since I refuse to even glance at the site why don't you use there links a d make your own argument. Some facts. Before there was even a fight south Africa secured a agreement to use the airport. It was the only airport. Durining the fight sa Double checked. The training team evacuated to the airport first. The paras and SF only moved there after the fight. The airport was the second last fall back point to. The last was to get to the DRC. |

agaugust: Over 200 units of SANDF Olifant tabks have ancient RHA armour from 1970s vintage, the tank itself is of 1960s origin with 1940s capability
5 units of Nigerian army T-72 with ERA armour will eat up all your 200 units of Olifant ancient tanks.....repainted Centurion grand-father tanks . The Oliphant uses advanced composite armour. If ERA is so great why don't western armies use it on there mbts. You do know ERA is used for HEAT warheads. Though tanddem HEAT warheads bypass the effect. Of course the Oliphant does not use HEAT for anti armour so ERA is of zero advantege. |

agaugust: I won't repeat same post 77 times, I posted world news report last month showing Venezuela still test fired their Otomat missiles very recently and they bought in 1980s same time with Nigeria. Otomats don't expire short-time like you imagine, they are expensive high grade missiles with very long life. Some missiles last 45 years. Saudi Arabia too still uses their Otomat mounted on ships, they have not been test firing because they don't have to.
Otomat Mk 1 range is increased to 80 km when you fire two in salvo, it's an extra-ordinary kind of missile :
Source Harpoon Databases, I posted that here many times last year, I wont repeat it
https://www.nairaland.com/415620/strongest-military-africa/945 No where there do you explain how it is achieved. |

lezz: your own defense review confirmed you neither have trained and qualified personnel for your decayed equipments. And one of you slumy lier from a nation of pretence and identity crisis was talking about your mercenaries teaching Nigerian army how to handle sophisticated equipments.
Well it turned out your SANDF will need to fly in experts from Europe to help you clean up your military mess. http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/south-africa-military-maintenance-matters-010956/ And. We still spend more per persons than Angola, Nigeria, Algeria, extra. So if we got troubled how bad are they doing. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 3:30pm On Feb 22, 2015 |
agaugust: Even if we don't use other sources that say Nigeria has Otomat Mk II, lets just assume Mk I for analysis purposes alone today.
SAN Exocet range 70 km
NN Otomat Mk I, 80 km when two missiles are fired in salvo, they cooperate and extend range from 60km to 80km . Where does it say 2 mk1 can boost each other's range. All so when last where they fired. You know they don't last for ever. |
