The ORT(Optical radar tracker) and EOT(Electro-optical tracker) ?

RRS was awarded a contract to R & D a replacement of those systems on the frigates.
Spionkope replaced her EOT with a new ORT

In the past week two upgrades have been seen on SANDF hardware. A new fire control radar/imanger on the valour frigate and the Oryx sporting two new antennas on her nose.

lol operational lol ok sorry but i can no longer take Namibian forces seriously if she is one of your spec ops peeps. Keep posting photos tho they are good.
ODT is not spec ops. It is the hardest course in the south African navy and I suspect Namibia modelled there ODT on outs. So she is fit enough.

Nice pics Gottfreid21 but who is that fat Indian girl on the boat in the scuba diving gear? cheesy
Who says she fat and who says she indain. She looks built and she looks like either coulerd or one of the khoi San people. Black people arrived in southern Africa around the same time white people did. The true locals where then caught between to far more war like groups and suffered the most.

4.Recovery Vehicle
3 300s. What the hell. That's around 60 to 70 knts. Though range must be short.

Everybody knows the SANDF has a lot of faults. Nigeria is no different either, and we talk about them in the appropriate platform/forum where we know does in position of authority would see them.

Here on Nairaland, and in this particular thread, it's all about the positives we care about.

I noticed you guys are boring(no offence) can't keep a conversation going for long.
I know. Just want people here to understand that just because south Africans that post only good things about the sandf here would get shot down on a forum dedicated to the sandf.

That's why I prefer posting here now. The others thread is boring.

Heee. We don't see the point in talking once the facts are down. There was the best military in Africa thread on that forum to. Lasted like 3 pages. Last padge being off topic and the answer being it is a stuip question.

Nigeria: Beechraft super-king (7 operational)

There is no report on how many of each Nigerian system is operastional or not. And don't say they all are. No nation can pull that off.

This is why i didn't want to go into this argument with u guys.
I REPEAT, Kontagora army base already holds REGULAR special ops training for the army.
The russian exercise was for already pre-qualified SF operators...
For further tactical training. .
72 Special forces battalion makurdi which reports directly to DHQ has been an SF component since 2010 at least.
I'm not making any further comment on this matter.
Speciol forces battluon does not mean 2000 operators. If your group is that large the training is to easy.

@MikeCZAR,
I'm not quite sure what u said is totally accurate.
I know for a fact that 1600 special forces troops were trained in russia over a 3 month period recently.
And i also know that regular special forces training also goes on in Kontagora.
At least 500 special forces troops were involved in the madagali-mubi-adamawa axis counter-offensive.
So i'm sure that the numbers are far larger than the 100 u quote...
3 months? That's 1/3d of a basic infantry course. Speciol forces need around 2 years of training including the selecstion before becoming a operator.

how can anybody regurgitate this blatant rubbish out in a public fora and still claim to have a hold on his sanity.
Dude, wherever you may have completed your course in Strategic studies, military history or defence studies and nobody mentioned Bonaparte then that place must have been a baby's kindergarten class.
I mean Bonaparte is a name that cannot be detached from any known documentation or curricula on military history, it is a name that also forced the signing of the Vienna conference 1814/1815 to stop a war that was already disintegrating Europe. Read about Bonaparte he is worth studying.
He all so abdonded his army, twice and when ever he fought the Brits he did poorly. Just like all great genrails including my favourite, Rommel. They all have flaws. Rommels was failing to understand logistics, grand strategy and spending far to much time up front. He should never of been promoted to field marshal. He should of remained at divisional level.

SAAF Gripen jets barks more than it can bite....Toothless bulldog.

Critical missile shortage....ONLY ONE missile per jet.

Poor missile range.....MAXIMUM 25 km.

SAAF $50 million Gripen jet = NAF $15 million F-7 jet.

South African air force....na wash tonguetongue
.
We make missiles

25km is rather good for a IR missile.

You get what you pay for.

The African invented the laser but yet the boer monkeys are trying to take credit for the black mans creation in the usual white way, I commend that African for his creation and I condemn that African for allowing those dirty Europeans to speak on camera as though it was their creation. Typical southie slave mentality. Zulus of 400 years ago may have been big and bad but the Zulus of 2015 are slaves and cowards.
Where was he taking credit. I think you enslaved by your hatred and are for ever doomed.

You are just echoing what i said previously, you are white two of your superiors are coloreds and now your black captain is going to be replaced by a white woman? A minority within a minority replacing the majority.

That video again echoed what I was saying, the Indians in the video were the ones that made that drone and the guy at the end should be slapped for having a stupid British accent.

Also the recent spy scandal once again showed the high lack of intelligence in SA. Another disgrace for SA after Pelindaba when the Chinese raided your nulclear plant and robbed you lol..... disgrace.
So because SA does not see race but achievement for its guide lines of success it a failed state, maybe if Nigeria respect different ethnic groups it would not be such a mess. The point i made is that any body can achieve in South Africa.

Actual the spy cables showed how the west asked us to spy on there enemies for them. China actually saw how nuke tech worth stealing. Silver lining and all that.

Then why do they answer to whites? How can the majority of your country be black but they are all to dumb to lead huh SA is a failed state like Somalia.
Because race does not matter in leadership in the SANDF. I am white. My immediate superior is colored, followed by another colored and then Black right up to the captain. Though how new captain will be a white women.

any case this is a drone a bunch of denel interns made.

andrewza I told you dont derail the picture thread or henry will cry.

Anyway the answer to your question is that South Africans are mentally limited, they don't have the brain power to worry about anything other than food, shelter and sex, so they allow themselves to be dominated by dirty europeans like you.
He can cry

Expect there are thousands of Black south African scientists, so that disproves that.

Not to derail the thread, I just need to say that South Africans are a pathetic excuse for human beings for allowing themselves to be ruled over by whites like this, this type of behavior also makes the whole of Africa look bad when these foreign non-African military's go over there and see Africans being bossed around by the pink people from Europe like pathetic monkeys, disgraceful kaffirs.
why is it, that non south African blacks that worry about us white south Africans more than black south Africans.

11 official languages recognized by South African government, any body speaking any one of those 10 local languages is counted as being literate.

You need citation for that? Then ask me for citation to prove the capital of South Africa is Pretoria

Speaking does not mean literate. You have to be able to read and write it.

South Africa NEVER bought 236 Badger IFVs, you have ONLY about 6 for experimental tests.

You bought no new warships, missiles, torpedoes blah blah blah.....name the weapons and country of sale, and year of delivery, with photos of those 6 new ships in your navy.

You think we Nigerians are fools here that you can bamboozle with your tales by moonlight?

Nope, South African literacy rate is about 40 % and much lower than Nigeria. Your white apartheid masters denied you education as "lesser human beings".

Literacy rate 93% includes illiterate local herbalists and pig farm laborers who speak one of the 10 local languages by birth as mother tongue, they have never been to school, yet they are deceitfully counted as literate for speaking a language like Zulu, etc because you have 10 such local language of illiterates legally recognized by ANC government along with English language the 11th official language.

Only the South Africans who speak English and graduated high school are literate, the rest are illiterate local language speakers and they form about 60 % of South African population.

Your real literary level is about 40 % in Soweto nation, thanks to 100 years of white-man's oppression of your fathers gringrin
