I discuss with soldiers, intelligence officers, policemen and all. I also read countless documents, everyday on this issue. Through military cooperation, our neighbours have given us the green light to combinely rout out terrorists trying to organize on their land. we are also tromendously improving our border security. So it is not too early to say Victory. But we are not going to fold our hands and wait to be attacked, we are going to be proactif. Are special forces do not recognize any border, they will hit wherever terrorists stand.

artillery guns have always been very accurate in firing from world war II without computers.

mathematical/geometric azimuth or bearings and physics projectiles theory are the secrets of artillery accuracy. these calsulate target distance versus gun muzzule velocity and a few other factors to determine angles of elevation, depression, and rotation of the gun.

azimuth calculations are done manually/analog or by computer. with a manual/analog system the man needs about 6 minutes to do it, a computer will do it in about 1 minute.

all artillery guns do not need computers each, usually it is one computer to 5 guns sharing it, so it is very wrong for the south africans to say nigerian M56 artillery has no computers, have they seen nigerian army using the guns in real war ? 5 guns need only one computer, anything more than that is a personal wish of the gun designer because generally artillery works in groups of their guns called batteries not individually.

patriot4: Not in this case. Most of the terrorists have been arrested and most of their Equipment has been destroyed. We also have special forces operating in our neighbouring countries. We are also making efforts to conceal the borders, so there is no chance for the terrorists. And unlike bush, we are on our own territory and we will never leave. All the liberated places will soon host permanent military and police bases. We are also increasing the size of the military.
And contrary to the situation which Bush faced, the locals who are our own people are cooperating with us.
They are being recruited into the police (after adequate vetting) and they are being given reponsabilities and directives on how to help secure their neighbourhoods. It is harder to secure a foreign land than to secure your own land, this is our land.

I am just saying it is way to fast to jump to a victory conclusion. What is to stop BH to operste from out side nigeria (eg Niger) and wepaons are easy enough to get before the nato mission in libya. Now there is a flood of them.


BH is a sympton of the problem not the cause of the problem.

on pages 1 to 12 of this thread south africans were silencing nigerians with Gripen jet photos against Roland air defense. now on page 315 we know they have only 8 Gripen pilots, and that all south african air force cannot hit a Roland, now they get angry....defeat came long, but still came on nairaland.
