@LadyG make una take am easy.... About the conference I think I will like to add my 2 cent.

*First, If you registered for a conference that's not part of your work or you don't have in dept knowledge of pls just forget about it.Because you maybe denied at the embassy or POE.

*Secondly due to Nigeria problem with forex you may have to pay for conference above $300 twice which means you will share your card details with the organizer or send it to their account if you can or western union it to them hopefully they will receive it.

*Thirdly, You will need the letter of invitation at POE and expect some questioning.

*Also it's important that you have strong ties in your home country.

I think there's a lot of scam conference on conferencealert.com what you have to do is go on google and type what you do and add conference to it, you will see a lot of real conference I'm sure of that.

Getting conference is not hard,just go to google type year and conference on your line of work add country e.g: 2016 free international conference on bla bla bla in bla bla bla.
If there is free it will come out and if not it will bring out pay conference then you go for the one that sweet you.
Another thing you must be able to defend the conference.

And also IMO i think @andyjyd got his visa based on his Travel history, Family ties and his age.
The VO asked him nothing about the conference, worse is the VO didn't even make him talk about his job role this is very atypical for people applying for conference/training.

So other intending conference users should not base their judgment on @andyjyd's case.

I think u r right,cos the VO did not ask about the conference after I told her the conference name.
She did not ask for any docs

Some ppl do got visa with free conference, I know a guy in Texas,who got his trou free conference

I applied 2013 on printing press.
To check printing press machine for my company but refused visa.
This year I had to search for printing press Conference in US and got many but try to settle for free conference,after booking for the conference,I asked the event manager to write me a letter for my visa and said not until I upgrade to pay session.
So I had to pay $199 and after confirmation she sent the letter to my small.even the VO did not ask for any document.

We are phasing out the hard copy of the passport photograph, but if your interview is scheduled soon, you should be okay to bring in a passport photograph.

My brother do u know d rate of ppl still living in face-2-face build in Nigeria? 4 example 20 families living in a building at most all d families we need 2 cook sometime at d sametime,do u know what can happen, in a kitchen where 20 ppl r using cooking gas and cylinder at d sametime,my bro dis is highly risking.our govt need to do things right.

Gas is cheaper, and is also helthier and safer. It also saves the government subsidy money, and less dependence on crude oil for revenue.
