RomanceRe: Why Are Nigerian Girls Becoming Ridiculously Cheap? by angel101(f): 2:53pm On May 17, 2007
@ topic
what do u mean by cheap?
is a girl cheap when she asks for a few material things?
is a girl cheap when she asks for a lot of material things?
is a girl cheap when she sleeps with u for nothing?
and what is the basis for comparism?

if u are comparing naija girls to western girls then i'm afraid u just shot urself in the foot cos they are at both sides of the extreme! a white girl will meet u today, not know ur name, and in 15mins u are in her pants! no questions asked.
on the other hand, go to expensive clubs and bars or any club or bar for that matter and buy champagne or any other expensive drinks and see them flocking all around u.

a nigerian girl on the other hand will form for u well well even though she likes u. (except of course u go for the prostitutes) and the nigerian culture expects the man to be the sole provider. it is taken for granted that if a man is with u, he generally takes care of u.
even the bible says that love is giving (somewhere in matthew. dont know excatly what chapter and verse)

so my brother giving all these facts, i do not believe nigerian girls are any cheaper than any others.

@dremoney
dremoney:
gat an advice for u!!
seal your ass n c what happens to it after so many years.

point,
u av to learn how to manage men.
trying to compete by adopting this philosophy wil only make u suffer d more in our hands wink
taking money from a guy or not,,na u go still loose at d end of d day.
soo,i advise u get ONE guy and manage his troubles.
exactly how does the girl loose at the end of the day? huh

Go and check the amount of power they have and what they have used it for.

I think there should be Education for the Citizen that is all. The Governors have a lot of power Infact they have so much money they can cause alot of havoc now
it does not reduce the power or money being held in the centre. and in any case i believe it should be a matter of responsibility. let the people know who is responsible for them and whoever that is should be accesible to the people. i would say it's a fantastic idea if it can be implemented.

If any elected president can unmask and defeat Nigeria's power outage dragons, that person will go down as the greatest leader Nigeria has ever seen, irrespective of the critic's score-cards in all other indexes of performance.   The inexcusable absence of a working mains electricity grid will continue to undermine all other fields of endeavor into which the Nigerian government pours its petro dollar wealth, no matter how grandiose the white elephant projects sound at their inception.
THIS is the TRUTH. let us learn to set our priorities right. at least electricity affects EVERY nigerian in EVERY way.

My catious nature of taking BBC news serious came with the last election. In their headlines there was nothing good about the last election its either 150 people have died and more coming or its is badly marred, but pick up your phone call realtives and friends in the areas mentioned by BBC and u hear a total different story, and if there was any riot at all, u would immediately be told by your own source it was'nt that bad. Elections in Africa would not be hinge free anywhere in the next 10 years. But saying any effort to move a step forward came to nothing at all is in no way acceptable from the BBC.
u should undesrtand that nigerians are very resilient people so being told by ur people that it wasnt 'that bad' does not necesarily mean so. i was in nigeria myself during the elections and believe me i was frightened it might degenerate into something else!
as far as riots are concerned, yes there were riots. women came out naked in ondo state to protest besides protests in other states. so frankly, the situation was bad.
that is not to say that these wetern media do not exaggerate but maybe not quite as much as we would like to believe.

@dayokanu

I wonder which part of the world you write from ,

The same OBj came and in his time paid the debt amassed by the same Abacha and IBB's previous government, the same OBJ repartriated stolen money from the same Abacha's family - the same Abacha/IBB left the Niger Delata impoverished for years, the same Abacha that killed Saro Wiwa because he fought for the Ogoni people in the Niger Delata, the same Abacha/INN who surpressed the press, who killed the opposition, remember IBRU, remember Abraham Adesanya, remember Kudirat, remember dozens of people kiiled during Abacha/IBB period, remember the massive corruption in those years, those years when all you need is to become a governmor for two to three years and after that, you can then float an airline - remember Buba Maruwa - what are you talking about? Comparing Abacha/IBB to OBJ's government? Maybe if they have tried to pay our debt instead of stealing our money, maybe OBJ would have had enough money to do more thingshuh?? Where is the windfall during IBB's rule when America had operation desert storm in IRAQ and oil prices went up? Where is it?

The same Abacha whose security goons are still in jail/detention for crimes they committed? And you prefer them to OBJ?

May God raise him up in his grave and come back to rule Nigeria.
the same OBJ that orderede the extermination of a whole community (ODI) not just Saro Wiwa?

the same debt ammased by abacha, babangida, buhari, shagari, and yes u guessed right OBJ himself also!

oh so Marwa floated an airline after serving as military administrators and OBJ's governors are honest and accountable? hmmm  huh

yes Abachas goons are still in jail/ detention for crimes they committed with the exception of his SON who OBJ cut a deal with! just out of curiosity, what exactly happened to the money mohamed returned to OBJ? in any case, the very fact that they have spent 8 years awaiting trail/in detention is testimony against the govt of OBJ!!

how about the oil boom in this OBJ's tenure? what has he done with it? and the money repartriated from the looters?

u are right maybe if they paid our debt instead of stealing our money OBJ will have more money to do more things e.g buy more transcorp shares maybe.

All these critics - what can you do if its you?

Maybe we should pray for the return of Abacha and the return of Babangida - Nigerians - pray - May Abacha come back to rule us - we beseech you O God, we want Babangida to come again , please God answer our prayer.

If OBJ hasnt done well, I bet all you people saying stuff against his government will come up and rule - people who can't even maintain a relationship talkless of ruling a country - stupid people - all they know is criticise.
u are too funny. so because abach and babangida were tyrants we should accept the same tyrany in a democracy? what exactly is ur point?

P/S
has OBJ maintained a relationship so far even with his own children? no? i didnt think so!

I will surely miss pastor Eskor. I havent enjoyed any sermon as i have enjoyed his. very honest, simplistic, and straight to the point. He was also such a humble man. I was sooo shocked to hear of his death i was hoping he will get well and return to church. God knows best anyway. May God grant him eternal peace.

a lot of posts on this thread reek of intolerace and dictatorship. the truth remains that these people have been pushed to the extreme. they act out of ignorance and illiteracy which stems from the neglect they have suffered for all these years. lets call a spade a spade!
PoliticsRe: What Can You Offer Nigeria? (to make it a great nation?) by angel101(f): 11:25am On May 15, 2007
i will generally play my own part in regarding what i think nigeria should be, not minding what the next man is doing. e.g as a matter of principle i do not litter anywhere no matter how dirty it may be. i don't throw things out of the car (which by the way is the order of the day in naija) at the expense of being ridiculed by people watching (calling me clean, clean). i do not offer bribes to anyone especially those hoodlums who call themselves customs and immigration. and the list goes on. in my opinion, it's these little things that go a long way to change the mindset of nigerians as a people. i believe that if everyone should adopt this attitude, in no time we will be able to stamp out corruption and this orderliness.

how do you expect a man to print 65million voting cards within two days and distribute that same number of voting cards all over the country within that same number of days? I think the supreme court judgement made a mess of the whole process.
i rather think OBJ made a mess of the process and set it up to look like the supreme court did. if he had not mischieviously declared 2 days public holidays uneccessarily, the court would have passed judgement in good enough time to get the cards printed. in anycase, is there any reason y they ballot papers had to be printed in SA?

i will score IWU -99% he is a total disgrace. he could at least have made it slightly believable.

The truth is that they are making the problem worse
so u agree that they was a problem. these people didnt just wake up one day and start fighting for no reason.

Seun:
Yes, the government should fight the pollution in the Niger Delta region, yes, the government should spend the oil money more prudently. But it shouldn't be for the sake of these "militants". What they need is prison time.
for whose sake should it be? yours? it is the people who own the land. it is their lives that have been troubled. it is they who have been and are still aggrieved. for whose sake should the needful be done then?

yours in my opinion is such a selfish argument.

@ jen33
if u were indeed a reasonable person u would know that there is not need to insult people simply because they do not share your views. this is the same thing the country is facing in the hands of a dictatorial OBJ.
u keep making references to your friends who got jobs like they are the most important people in nigeria. so because a few of your friends got jobs the rest of the population can go to hell? in any case u take me back to where i am coming from. u claim your friends who are foriegngraduates are getting jobs in nigeria while the thousands of nigerian graduates roam the streets jobless! who does this potray the 'new nigeria' u are trying to force down our throats?
like donzman said keep posing pictures. u are obviously unable to reason
