Romance / Re: How Can I Eliminate Body Odour by annford: 11:56am On Jun 05, 2020
Alimzy20:
hello nairalanders I'm 21-year-old and I have a serious body odour problem .I take a shower ,use deodorant and 2 hours later my armpits get sticky and start smelling. everywhere I go people breathe heavily cause of me and say I smells bad .I've tried lots of deodorants and when I wear perfume it smells too strong and I shower everyday .what can I do to eliminate this shameful odour ?

Do you regularly shave your armpit and also scrub your armpit well with sponge when having a bathe? If not, then you should start doing that and as well, wash the armpit area of your shirts. If your shirts, a specially, T-shirts are expired, please change them as expired T-shirts tend to smell when in contact with a drop of sweat even after washing them well.

Nigeria is behind no doubt. But are you saying you prefer that Nigeria remains behind, rather than take steps, albeit into obsolete technology?
I would take obsolete tech, over no tech.

No, I couldn't say that. All I'm saying is that we should've gone past this level of development. Just yesterday, a community borehole project was launched by a Governor who also had his Deputy and House of Assembly Speaker with him. These shouldn't be things that we make noise about. Most people think the Government officials are doing them a favour and thereby jubilate when things like these are given them. The same Borehole project a sitting Governor, his Deputy and Speaker of House of Assembly, along with their Aides went to launch, our office between November last year and March this year dug boreholes and handed over to 19 communities in Abuja sububs without making noise about it. Our politicians need to step up their games and embrace the responsibilities they're saddled with.

It is well. This is 2020 and Nigeria is celebrating the completion of a Railway Station and even boasting that the previous Governments couldn't build any. Other Countries are celebrating milestone achievements but here we are, making comparisons over a Train Station.
Romance / Re: Guys, Have You Ever Been Molested Or Raped By A Female? by annford: 5:40pm On Jun 02, 2020
I was raped as a young boy. I was probably 5 or 6 when I had my first rape experience. I was constantly raped for a period of 5 years or so by 4 different evil and demonic females. I remember the first experience vividly. I was playing outside of our compound with my siblings, step-siblings, family friends and some neighbours when one of our female neighbours who was in Secondary School then (Her name was Ogechi. She's late), called me into one of the rooms in my Stepmother's apartment, took off her panties which revealed a very hairy private part. This very girl, pushed my face into her private part which was reeking of stench I just cannot describe and ordered me to start sucking and licking it. I didn't know what it was all about but I refused to obey her. She slapped me and threatened to kill me if I wasted anymore time. I started licking the smelly thing and I remember her pushing my head more and more into her thing. The disgusting act lasted for a couple of minutes and came to an abrupt end when someone ran into the house and she violently pushed me away so as not to be caught. After it all, she called me aside and threatened to kill me if I told anyone. She continued with the rape and even got two of her friends to rape me repeatedly. The fourth female to rape me was my stepsister. Thank God for his Grace and help because if I had allowed the numerous rape experiences I had to define me, I'd had ended up hating women ( which would've made me become a gay) or I'd have become an unrepentant Casanova. I always tell my Wife that my children will not go to anyone's house to play or spend vacation. My wife and I have our eagle eyes on our child. No one deserves to be raped.

I have a Technician friend who had told me I was spending so much on DSTV. He advised I buy a Free-to-air satellite dish. I asked him how it worked and how much it would cost and he said it would cost me roughly 12k to buy and install at my place and that a dish would give me access to over 100 channels. I gave him the money and he bought the dish. After the installation, we discovered I had access to 147 channels. He then told me I could get so much more if I bought yet another dish and got the two connected. I immediately gave him money for another dish and he bought it and combined the two and the number of channels I had access to seemed endless. Please note, you don't get to watch any terrestrial television channel. Everything you get is international. Just go to where brand new Electronics are sold, ask them if they have Free-to-air dish and they'd explain more to you.

I personally 'divorced' DSTV and Gotv years ago. I use Free-to-air both in my home and office. Free-to-air gives me over 600 channels including most of the channels DSTV and GOtv offer, so why should I throw away thousands of Naira every Month when I spent less than 20k on the Free-to-air?

Good day folks,

I want to find out from you all if Volkswagen Passat is a good car. A 2007 mode precisely. I need more info about this car.

And in comparison with other cars like Honda Civic, Mazda, Peugeot...

Thank you all

I personally lobe the Passat brand. I've been using different models of Passat since 2008 and I van tell you, they're very good. I am using a 2013 Passat CC and I can tell you, that CC is like a private jet. People complain of electrical issues with the Passat brand but I am yet to experience it.

I'll be very brief about this... hello my fellow nairalandlers I usually come to this forum whenever I'm in a precarious situation please I need a sincere advise from any one here, this girl I'm about to visit was a very long time girlfriend of mine right from secondary school though we didn't quarrel but do to distance barrier we were unable to see one another so she got married and the husband died like two years now then our communication started again very serious one,one thing led to another we fell in love again she wanted to come and visit me in school before this issue of covid 19 so she was unable now I left school for home she say I'm the one to come her place now though we're not leaving in same state but the journey is like 3 to 4 hour, she want me to come and spend days with her and I love this girl so i don't no weather if it's a bad idea for me to visit her or I should just lied to her.. note she's leaving in an apartment rented by her husband brother I little far from his own place. ur advice is needed my brother and sister

You want to go hang out with a Widow? You want to go spend a few days at her place, with her? I reckon you don't place any value on your life. Wait until her dead husband starts tormenting you or gives you a slap you may never recover from. Is she the only woman in this World? I just don't understand how some folks behave when love or sex is/are involved. If you died and your living wife brought in another man ( who ever he might be), to bunk at your place and have sex with her, would your Spirit feel at peace with that? Answered the question and draw your decision from it.

Are there any conditions usually given?

Any thing that I need to know please.

I bought a vehicle January 31st this year. The seller gave me someone who drove it from Lagos to Abuja with me in the car. I paid the guy 50k. Usually, when you buy a vehicle, the seller(s) could offer to drive it to your destination.

Bro, whenever you see that "Ac needs gas" of a thing, just know the Ac is broken. If it really just needs gas, what stops the person from filling it with gas before putting it up for sale? Filling the gas would cost about 5k. Most of them aren't honest at all.

That’s what those devilish sellers usually do, they quickly corner your mechanic with a share of the sale.

One of my guys had similar issue with an infinity FX35 sotay if his mechanic sees me advising him to stop spending on the wack melon na wahala.

He learnt the hard way after spending almost 900k.

It is not worth it at all. It is better one buys a car they would enjoy. Ever since the Nissan, I buy new cars from abroad. I could spend days inspecting the car I want to buy to avoid a repeat of the past. I have noticed that most people who sell vehicles that have been used in Nigeria, aren't always sincere. They'd always tell the reason for selling is because the owner wants to upgrade or relocate or bought another car...the excuses go on and on.

I would never buy any Nissan product. I bought that car "Nigerian Used". It looked clean in and out but I never knew the owner was selling it because of its numerous problems. I went with a Nissan-based Mechanic to inspect the car and he encouraged me to buy it that it was good. I never knew that the seller had promised the Mechanic 50k if he made the transaction possible. It was much later that I got to know when I started making trouble with the Mechanic guy over the incessant spendings I was making because of the car and he then confided in my cousin that the seller promised and gave him 50k for the transaction plus the 70k I gave him.

Lol how you take drive with reverse?

I had to become James Bond ooo. I was caught by some FRSC guys. They stopped my vehicle and oblivious to me, they had been watching me the whole time. They had thought I stole the vehicle. I explained to them and they were kind enough to help me in clearing the way but I had to part with 8k after they were done. That Murano was bought " Nigerian Used". That was the first and last " Nigerian Used" vehicle for me. My second experience wasn't a good one too. My second car was a Toyota Camry 2008 Model. The ride looked so clean and new and I was over the moon when I just bought it. Hmm 3 months after, I took it for servicing and lo and behold, the car, under, was all rusted and as they were even working on the vehicle, some of the components were falling of because there was nothing to hold them in. God helped me that the engine never fell of, neither did I fall of while driving it. I tried selling the car but it was always priced low. I had to use it as a collateral to collect money I didn't need from a Micro finance Bank and just left the car with them. When it was time to repay the loan, I never showed up. I told them they could sell the car. Those two experiences made me the car enthusiast I am today.

To think that the said vehicle was my first car... I was scared for years, to buy a car after the horrible experience that Nissan Murano gave me. I took it to Zuba spare parts market here in Abuja and sold it for N350k. A vehicle I bought just 8 months before for N930k. That was a very "bad market" for me. I only was moved by the shape and the brown interior of that vehicle. I never researched of the engine, gearbox and electrical components.

My brother u go laff tire when people tell u their experience ooo.

One guy buy car, drive go watch match.
Na reverse he take go back house as car no enter gear again.

That was my experience with my Nissan Murano in 2011. I drove to the market with my cousins. I had parked the car behind another car. when the owner of the car I had parked behind wanted to leave, I engaged the gear in reverse, after the moving back for the guy to drive out, my gear wouldn't shift to 'Drive'. I did all I could but all to no avail. The idiot wouldn't even go back to ' Park'. I reversed back home with my cousins. A journey of about 20 Minutes, took my more than 3 hours because of the mad traffic back home and to make matters worse, the Air-conditioner wasn't working so I was just sweating like a criminal that had just been caught. It was that very week I vowed never to have anything to do with a Nissan or Infiniti product. That same Murano always had problems ranging from Gearbox problem to Fuel pump to timing chain. Nissan is a flop abeg.

Pastors deny their ministries and members just to evade arrest by Covid-19 task force in the FCT
after they were caught flouting the ban on religious gathering

Their fights are always against the Church. In this same Abuja, Mosques call for prayers everyday using their megaphones and how many Imams and Alfas have been arrested? People go to mosques freely and openly but Christians aren't allowed to converge in Churches. The level of wickedness in this country makes one sick to the stomach. They said if people went to Church, the so-called Covid-19 would spread rapidly, but going to mosques would halt it? People go to markets every Wednesday and Saturday including Wuse Market, Garki Market, Dutse Market, Karimo Market, Utako Market and all other markets across the FCT but Churches aren't allowed to converge.
Family / Re: Please Help Look Into This Family Issue (I'm Loosing My Mind) by annford: 5:35am On May 18, 2020
Ope88:
Please don't read and pass, also Pardon all my typo, I'm typing out of duress.

I am from a family of six, 3 girls, 1 boy including my parents.
I had a horrible childhood experience, My Mum (no thanks to her) was something I can't quantify, I can't start writing every of the things she did and I can't say If the religion she practiced contributed largely to the devilish attitude she put up while growing up.

My mum has no good record anywhere, in the church, with the neighbours, with her siblings, we the children, her in laws and even at work, She was always at war with people, if she dreams that someone was trying to attack her in the dream, if she sees the person the following day, she was ready to attack the person.

Also, she would curse her children at any slightest provocation and leave only my brother out(last born and spoilt), She doesn't have any good relationship with her siblings and won't allow my dad visit his family member, I remembered them (Mum and dad) always saying this (don't be unequally yoked together with unbelievers). To them anyone who isn't a Christian (deeper life) is not supposed to be associated with.. My dad on countless occasion will call his mum a witch just because she was a Muslim and one of the oloyes of allasalatu(Muslims will understand this) and had nothing to do with his family members.

This went on and on like this until my elder sister moved out of the house and in the process of trying to find her feet, she got pregnant and my mom practically tormented her life, she later got married to the man, and for that act alone, she's always at logger heads with my sister and her husband..

Later, I got married and then my younger sister followed suit, leaving my dad, herself and my younger brother (whom I have disowned).

Ever since the three of us got happily married, and left the home, my dad slipped into severe depression. Although he has been depressed given lots of things he encountered, job loss, no social interaction, unforgiveness amongst others, it became severe when all his female children left, then from severe depressgion, he started having mental issues, he would wake up and leave the house talking to himself, or start preaching and going out of point with anyone he finds on the street, sometimes he would leave and come home at night, my younger brother who is supposed to comfort and help him, treats him with disdain, my mum who is supposed to check mate his excesses would leave him to his folly and now he has started standing up to her and everyone else in the house..

At 26, he doesn't know his bearing and obviously we have been seeing signs of him wanting to inherit the houses my father built in the same compound.. (and we have noticed that my mum has been making him understand that every of the property belongs to him).

The last straw which broke the camel's back happened one week ago, my elder sister ( who is 9 year older than him) took advantage of the lockdown and visited my father, he is usually exited when we are around him whc helps his severe moodiness. There and then an argument broke out between my sister and my brother, she asked why my brother was insulting our mum for an action that happened in the compound, he beat my sister up and her three children and boasted that, the rest of us (my sister and I) dare not do anything and that by the way we must stop coming to the house, that if he sees any of us He will beat us up, My mum who was supposed to resolve the matter started blaming my sister, asking her why she always love to come visiting, that she's supposed to be in her husband's house or father in laws place and immediately called her hubby to come pick her.

Its been one week my sister left for her house, my daddy who enjoyed her company when she was present started misbehaving again at home. He started roaming, he started cursing everyone.

The reason I'm writing is this, my dad is no where to be found, he left the house yesterday Friday 15th May 2020 and was last seen in ITAMAGA IKORODU, we keep trying his number but he is not picking and now his number is switched off, I'm sure he is still wandering about.

My sisters and I have decided that even when he is found(by God's grace) we do not what him to go back living with my mum and brother.

What other alternatives do we have to care for him, as his own siblings are not happy with him either for abandoning them and their mum (his own mum),, when they needed him the most..

I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LONG POST.. PLEASE HELP ME.

Modified..... My dad has been found today Sunday, 17th May 2020, my sweet mother (elder sister) found her, she has been on her feet since he went missing, luckily he was found but in a terrible state, I saw him via video calls and I wept, he can't recognize even my sister again, and just muttering some words we don't understand, he closes his eyes while saying this and asked everyone to go and leave him, he looks so faint and weak and would not leave where he his...My sister has called his siblings and she's waiting for the next line of ACTION from them.

I'll keep updating the house with reports from our end..

To be honest with you, I cried as I read your story. A lot of people who aren't from dysfunctional homes may not understand your pains. Thank God your Dad has been found. I keep saying that one of the fastest ways to die is being in a bad marriage. Being in a bad marriage is highly toxic and I know this, how? Because it was bad marriage that killed my Mum. I have yet to see any human being as wicked as my Earthly Father. My advice to you is that you keep your Dad, Your Sisters, yourself and the kids very far away from your Mother and Brother. It is well.
